Resolution

I wake up to the blurred interior of an all black car. I can hear someone whispering my name but I can’t see where the voice is coming from.

“Elle, Elle hey, you gotta wake up love we’re here.” Harry says as I lift my head from his shoulder. He takes my hands as he helps me down from the car.

The air was chilly but refreshing. We walked across the sidewalk to a small black gate, and after fiddling with the latch for a few seconds, I finally got it open and started walking up the stone steps to Jason’s flat. With Harry’s hand still in mine, I stopped at the front door before turning around to face him.

“Thanks for letting me come out with you tonight. Sorry it didn’t end so well.” I said blushing.

He held my jaw in his hand to force my eyes to his, “I shouldn’t have tried to start anything, it was my fault. I just hope you’ll keep in touch maybe?” He said handing me my phone and bag.

Smiling up at him I reply, “Of course I will. If you ever need someone to sing karaoke with I’ll be there.” I dug into my bag looking for the keys. Picking them out of my bag I turned towards the door to undo the lock when Harry grabs my arm.

“Elle, I just, can I just…” He stutters before pulling me against him. His hand moved up to cup my cheek and he slowly brought my face closer to his. His lips brushed against mine before he pulled back slightly, looking at me for a silent consent to keep going. When I didn’t object to his advance his head lowered again closing the small amount of space in between us. His lips were soft and gentle against mine. His mouth moved slowly not wanting to ruin the rhythm we had created. His hands had moved to hold my lower back and mine to the nape of his neck. As I continued to tug at his hair the speed at which his mouth moved began to increase. Ten seconds into the kiss and we were both starting to get carried away.

My hands tugging more forcefully at his hair, he began to back me up against the door. As we were starting to get a little too into it, the door swung open revealing a very startled Jason and a very annoyed Harry who had kept me upright from his tight grip on my waist.

Looking between Jason and Harry I couldn’t tell who had the best look on their face. Jason’s face was absolutely priceless. His eyes looking like they were about to fall out of their sockets, his mouth wide open just staring at Harry.

“Well, um, Elle I’ll um…see you soon then?” Harry said clearing his throat.

“Yeah um, thanks for tonight.” I reply, smiling sheepishly at him.

I walk past Jason who is still stuck in the doorway unable to move. Harry waves and turns to walk back to his car as Jason finally comes back inside and closes the door.

Not even 2 seconds after the door closes Jason sprints after me towards my bedroom.

“ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME ELLE?!” Jason screams, “Why did you not mention that the Harry you were hanging out with was Harry fucking Styles?! Why are you back here? Please tell me you hooked up with him!” He says running over to me and shaking my shoulders.

I sigh, “You really think I wouldn’t try? I’ve been a One Direction fan since I was 12, of course I tried…he said he wanted to wait.”

“Oh damn. So, he thinks he’s gonna get something other than a one night stand with you? Didn’t you tell him about your New Year’s resolution?” He said gapping at me.

“Yes, I told him! He said he wanted to wait a year so I wouldn’t break it, but now I’m regretting ever making that stupid promise to myself. I got a kiss goodnight at least” I huff as I sit down at the end of my bed.

Jason walks over to sit beside me, “Well he must have a shit ton of self-control to not take the opportunity to fuck you.” He says laughing.

“Oh shut up,” I say punching him in the arm, “At least I got him hard.”
