Mia and I watched as Jackson made his way over to his friend’s table. He looked up at my brother and it looked like he was really glad to see him.

“Are you on uni break yet? We gotta hang out more mate!” I faintly heard the guy exclaim.

“Yeah had my last classes today, we should definitely catch up some time, but my little sister is here visiting with her friend, we’re actually just a couple tables away over there” Jackson replies as he gestures towards Mia and I. The guy turns around to have a good look at us and gave a smile and a wave. I could not believe my eyes, I nearly jumped right out of my seat.

“Kaz, is…is that…” Mia’s eyes grew wide again in utter disbelief and so did mine but I tried my hard to look as calm as possible.

“Just smile and wave M, just smile and wave” I said quietly to her while smiling and waving. The guy turned back around and he and my brother continued a little conversation.

“So, when were you going to tell me that you’re friends with my celebrity crush?” I glared at Jackson as he sat down.

“Oh, it’s not a big deal, he’s cool dude though” He replied.

“What do you mean? It is so a big deal and of course he’s cool! He’s Harry fucking Styles!” Mia exclaimed trying not to raise her voice.

“Well, fine then, I’ll introduce you guys when we organise to hang out…but please, please don’t fangirl and go all crazy around him ok?” Jackson pleaded.

“Oh no, it’s fine, you don’t have to do that for us, I’m sure he’s busy anyway” I said getting all nervous for some reason.

“No, don’t listen to her, she’s just being shy and modest, yes of course we want to meet Harry, it’s like a dream come true” Mia confessed. Yes, maybe she was right but if anyone had told me before I got on that plane to London that my brother Jackson was going to introduce me to Harry Styles because they are good friends, I would have laughed in their face and told them they have a great imagination.

“It’s fine sis, it really is, Harry would be happy to do it and in fact, he’s not busy at all, he just told me he’s basically doing nothing but just going to his family’s at Christmas time and that’s still a month away, it won’t bother him, don’t worry” Jackson explained which calmed me down a little bit but the fact that I was going to meet Harry Styles very soon made me even more nervous.

“So is he on a date with that girl?” Mia asks.

“Yeah he is, but they’re not official, he’s been dating girls here and there but there never seems to be a second date” Jackson shrugs his shoulders, “Honestly, I think he’s been going out with the wrong girls, yeah they’re hot and totally bang-able but they lack what Harry needs in a girl but he hasn’t realised that”. Since when did my brother turn into some love expert?

“And what does Harry need in a girl then?” I got curious all of a sudden.

“Someone who would stand by him through absolutely anything and everything, support him through thick and thin, a loyal, kind-hearted and honest girl who’s too modest to even brag about Harry Styles being their boyfriend” He claimed.

“So, Karen?” Mia put her hand just under my chin as if she was on a TV commercial showing off a new product.

“Oh my god yes!” Jackson grins excitedly.

“Ok, first of all, how did you become such a love expert? And second, no way! Harry would never go for a girl like me, and our height difference would be a problem, I’m 5’3’, no way is that attractive to him, and do you know what else is not attractive? Me!” I pleaded my case as to why I would not make the right girl for Harry. Do not get me wrong, I would love to be the girl for Harry but I have never been so sure in my life that I am not.

“See? There you go again being modest!” Mia points out. I slumped back in my chair and picked up the menu.

“Can we just order and discuss this later? Thank you” I sternly but quietly said. I could not help but glance over at Harry and his date. The girl was giggling and they looked like they were hitting it off. No way would he pick me over her.

After eating the best desserts ever, Jackson payed the bill for us and we headed onto the street. I looked back into the restaurant window to see if I could spot Harry and his date. When I did, I did not realise that he was also staring back at me with a blank expression probably thinking I was so weird.

“Karen” Mia made me snap out of it and then she noticed who I was looking at and a big grin grew on her face.

“Oh sorry, I umm…let’s go back to the hotel” I spoke looking at Mia and Jackson innocently.

“He will like you, don’t worry” Jackson assured me.

“Like me as a friend maybe, but nothing more than that I know for sure, you guys are too ambitious” I smirked at them.

“Nope, it’s happening, it’s definitely happening” Mia gave me an encouraging pat on the back. With that, we said our goodbyes to Jackson as he headed back to his apartment in Westminster. How did he get such a nice apartment in such a nice part of London? My parents of course. Anything for their only son. Whereas, I was sadly not smart enough to get into University College London and only got myself into a state university back home. Mia and I caught a taxi back to our hotel and I went straight to my bedroom and passed out for the night.
