The Night I Met Harry

Jessica

We were at Harry's place now and he'd been taking a shower. I'd listened to the sound of pattered drops against the showers floor as I stare up at the ceiling. The duvet was soft against my skin, radiating the scent of him. My fingers caress the sheets as if he'd been lying beside me. Things between us were pretty heavy now and I was always afraid he'd disappear... That one day I’d wake up to Scott on the other side of the bed. I wondered about him sometimes, though knew my heart didn't belong to him. It was surprising how quickly my life had changed over the pace of time but I knew everything happened as it meant to.

I lay quietly as I heard Harry’s Iphone vibrate against the nightstand table on the other side of me. I listened as the sounds from the water continued, as I got up and made my way towards it. Jessie. I debated whether or not answering would be a good idea, quickly picking it up and accepting the call before I thought too extendedly.

Winter:
“Hello?”

There was a pause. I assumed it’d been from the setback of another person answering.

Jessie:
“Yea, umm. Is Harry there?”

Her voice was sweet and feminine. The memory of the girl that had been here before with Harry flashed wildly across my mind as I gripped the phone tighter.

Winter:
“He’s in the shower, but I’ll take a message.”

I’d intended to sound territorial and didn’t care how blatant I came across to her. I felt a wave of anger at the fact that her number had been saved in his phone. She paused again and I was sure I wouldn’t like whatever her reasoning was for calling.

Jessie:
“He left his watch here the other night. Just tell him to call Jessica.”

She said it as if to spit it at me, and I’d hung up before I could say anything I’d regret. My mood had shifted significantly since I’d answered the call and I suddenly felt overcome with nausea. I gripped the nightstand for stability, placing the phone back in the place I’d removed it. All I could think of was how he hadn’t mentioned seeing her at all to me. I walked slowly back to the bed, it’s surface no longer comforting me as before. I took deep breathes as my head began to cloud, evening out when I’d heard complete silence.

The shower had cut off and he had appeared a short time later. He'd walked into the room, his towel wrapped to his waist displaying his beautiful v-lines. He dried the remainder of water from his abs, studying me questioningly with the green of his eyes. I sat cold at the result of the conversation that would soon take place, paralyzed at the thought of the things I didn't know. I stare blankly into the air affront me as I thought of them together. I knew it had been the girl that'd been here before, and I had a bad feeling about the idea of them. Why else wouldn't he tell me about it? We'd told each other everything.

There was a chill in the room that tickled my spine but I'd known it'd been the effect of my fogginess.

Harry:
"You okay babe?"

I felt his eyes on me as I stayed quiet. Choosing not to partake in the sight of him adorn by the damp bath towel. Everything else seemed unimportant when it came to Harry...I rarely imagined my life now without him. I heard him distantly as my brain began to numb. My fingers pressed against the bed in my attempt to hold myself together. My mouth became dry at the thought of them and I realized this had been her attentions in telling me. I felt small now that I knew I hadn't been the only woman in his life. I wondered of the possibilities of his intentions there. His eyes stung as he watched me, tucking the towel against him once again. He was beautiful… but now I couldn't appreciate it. My mind was cloudy, and I felt the sickness growing. His footsteps were slow and cautious; I closed my eyes momentarily before I felt his touch. He slowly walked over, placing his hands on either side of me as he leaned toward me on the bed. His face was to mine now as he rubbed our noses together affectionately. I wished I could enjoy it but pain filled my veins now with the sensation. My stomach formed a knot within me, guilt of what I'd done to Scott washing back. I knew what I'd been getting into when I'd chosen Harry... But my heart told me not to care. All I could ponder was the act of him cheating on me. But I guess I had that coming. I sat still as I convinced my eyes to absorb the water which dare to fall. His scent was warming and I quivered at his closeness. I'd missed him only moments ago, and now he seemed much further away.

Harry:

"What's wrong? I only left you for like five minutes."

His dimples greeted me, as humor proved evident in his tone. I closed my eyes as his soft lips pressed sensitively to my own, which now were to numb to receive him. He stopped suddenly, pulling back to face me again. My eyes had fallen to my hands that sat on my lap. He knew something had been wrong though still I'd not said a word.

Harry:
"Winter."

I loved the way his voice projected my name even now behind the wall I'd built to created distance between us. I looked up, meeting his gaze with my own green orbs. He'd sat on the bed beside me, taking my hand with his in hopes I'd say something.

Winter:
“Jessie called.”

I waited for him to show me signs of nervousness but he remained solid with his hold on me.

Harry:
“What'd she want?”

It stirred me that he'd been answering so casually and I wasn't sure whether or not to take offense by it. My eyes were off, distant once again as my body drew pain to my veins. I felt bitter cold from within; the quiet consuming me like the moon on a summer's night.

Winter:
“Says you forgot your watch over the other night.”

There was a pause in his response. My ears waited to hear from him as my absent mind overcame me. I feared the result of our conversation.

Harry:
“I'd ran into her the night I'd been drinking.”

So he was with her; something he had neglected to tell me. I'd cared so much for him that night and it hurt to think he'd been with someone else a short time before. I felt a gnawing on my heart as it became increasing sore. I was absent from my place in matter. My mind went to a space I was previously unfamiliar with.

Winter:
“Why didn't you tell me?”

The pauses were a reassurance, and I wasn't sure I knew the guy who sat undressed before me anymore... The one that took my breath away... He turned me to face him, my body tensing with his touch. It was the feeling I'd experienced so many times before this one and now it’d made me long for entirety. I felt weakness with every word I'd mustered, not sure I could handle being torn apart by him in this way.

Harry:
“I'd been upset that night. We'd just been talking and then... She kissed me.”

I was already up, my feet meeting the stairs after grabbing my phone from the dresser and snatching my coat from the hook. I was overtaken with darkness, my psychological state now giving up on me. I felt the tears as my eyes broke their promise, spilling into the surface of my cheeks though my expression lacked emotion. I could hear him call after me but only distantly. His footsteps weren't long behind mine but I'd determined to escape him.

Harry:
“Winter, Talk to me. Please. I’ll explain.”

I'd slammed the door in my absent rage. The cool paralyzing breeze of the nights air capturing my sudden presence. My hands shook from defeat. I'd never imagined him to deceive me willingly in that way. The bitter chill blew the waves of my hair like the tides of the earth’s ocean. I walked quickly, my tears caressing my cheeks as once did Harry. The ice of the wind cut like knives being dug into the heat of my core. Still I'd not yet caught up with my thoughts which now had been taking with the mists of the wind. I decreased my pace over time; Embracing the harsh weather as a friend. I'd look up from my feet for the first time since leaving him as I came to a breathtaking reservoir. My eyes took in the entire of it, as I stood unhealthily to the spot. It's essence reminded me of Harry as the moon's light danced across the surface of the water. It drew me back to the memories of our date night. I walked slowly to the edge pulling myself unto the godlike stone that bordered the water. I stay quiet as I realm in the moment, the pain of him not yet subsiding. I folded my arms across my middle as the waves encouraged the wind, my mind resting on Scott and everything that’d took place between us. I pondered where he was now and if he still thought of me. I shook it off, unlikely because I failed to remember he hated me now...and there was really no one else psychologically to blame. I sat there against the stone, listening silently to nature as it rested. I attempted to find myself as I swung my legs back and forth to the rhythm of the wind’s wings. It felt I’d been there awhile as I wiped my face of the remaining tears.
I heard light footsteps along the grass that 'd paved to me. I didn't care to look around my person now occupied like a glass half empty. I'd heard them near as he invaded my space, climbing up on the stone and sitting closely next to me. My only care was a distance away along the water...I was beginning to find peace there.

Harry:

“I told her about you.”

His voice was deep and sweet… his presence motionless though my eyes hadn't cared. I sat quickly as the dark of the night sky fell upon us...it'd understood me in that way.

Harry:

“I gave her that watch when we were together. When we’d broken up I let her keep it… she said that to get to you."

I wasn’t sure if I’d been listening, but I wasn’t ignoring him.

Harry:
“You have to believe that I'd never cheat on you. I don't want this with anyone else... I only want you.”

His hands were warm in contrast as he rubbed the bridge of my knuckles with his thumb. I knew he'd been watching me but I didn't lend a care.

Harry:

“You're so cold.”

His hands went in a side to side motion against mine in his attempt to warm me. Mentally, it’d failed to work as my mind remained drifted off.

Harry:

“Winter, please talk to me. Communicate with me; don't get mad at me okay.”

He'd been repeating my words to him. The ones he'd given to me in the heat of an argument. He'd swung his legs toward the other side and gotten up from the cold rock. I felt him near as he continued his soothing words.

Harry:

“Babe, come on you’re going to get sick.”

Apart of me wished he'd gone and left me to wallow in the darkness along the water. I'd looked up to the stars of the sky in a wonder if they'd ever been alone. If not...we'd had little in common. I took a breath of fresh air before my eyes stared downward again. He'd grabbed my waist from behind, urging me into him as he swung my legs gently around. His hands reached for me as I took it absently, he intertwined them leading us to his car in the distance. He'd unlocked the door opening the passenger side before helping me in. The heat was left on so the warmth could caress my body, in hopes it liven me from my depression. He'd taken a while before I heard the trunk slam shut. He appeared moments later on my side once more opening the door and wrapping me with a heavy blanket I'd assumed he'd kept back there. He wrapped affectionately looking into my eyes in his attempt to bring me back to him. He covered me fully, closing the door before appearing on the other side of the car. The door was shut as he pulled the car to life buckling his seatbelt before pulling out along the road. It'd been dark even with his headlights as I sat unthawing from the heat of the car. He'd looked over at me as my focus peered out the window. It was quiet for a while when he'd thought of the words to say.

Harry:

“Winter, put your seatbelt on.”

He spoke protectively as his eyes scanned me before watching the road. I hadn't moved. I hadn't wanted to, choosing only to remain in my demeanor until I'd left him. I doubted he'd let me. He reached across me carefully, pulling the seatbelt in place with a snap. My head lie against the window now, staining with tears before I wiped them away quickly. I knew he'd noticed. I watch the trees go by slowly as he pulled the car off to the side of the road. It hadn't been a familiar neighborhood so I'd assumed he wanted us to talk.

Harry:

“I've never loved before.”

I'd barely heard him in his confession, and I could tell he'd been insecure about it.

Harry:
“I’ve experience a lot of women in my life… but I’ve never once loved any of them...The only woman I've ever loved before you is my mom.”

It was a sore subject to him but I could tell he’d spoken from a place of heart.

Harry:

“I want you to be able to trust that it’s only you. From the moment I'd met you Winter... it's always been you.”

I'd look at him from across the seat now as the light from the moon defined his dark curly hair. Even in the dark of night I could see his intense green orbs on mine, something he'd always done. My attention had drawn back out of the window as I remembered the water. It'd be a memory I'd be capturing with utensils of my Art room back home. I sat quietly watching the stars in the distance as I heard him get out of the car. He'd walked across, back over to my side and opened the door. His hands reached for mine, urging me out as he opened the back door to the truck, gently helping me in. He'd climbed in behind me, as I moved over to give him room. He'd pulled me close to him as he noticed, grabbing my waist and urging me to straddle him. I did so obediently before his lips took mine in a passionate kiss. The pain in my body dissolved under his touch his arms wrapped my waist, browsing my body affectionately. The warmth of his tongue danced across my lips cautiously before I took it in. The large cover concealed our heat as his hands had taken off my coat roaming under the warmth of my shirt. I heard the door lock. His hands pulled me closer, pressing my chest to his as he fingered through the dark waves of my hair. I felt them level down unbuckling the button on my jeans and pulling me to the side. He laid me down as he pulled off my fitting jeans, sitting them aside before bring me atop him again. He made sure I was fully covered with the blanket before rubbing the front of my underwear. I moaned quietly into him my face burying in the croak of his neck as I took in the sensation. His scent overwhelmed my senses making my hotter with his touch. His tongue pass my lips again as he pulled them aside, touching me in my most sensitive spot. I'd buried my head into him again as he continued to pleasure me. He looked deep into my eyes with every movement of his fingers and I felt the bulge in his pants grow considerably against me.

Harry:

“Winter, please. Can I?”

I found it loving that he'd ask my permission as I nodded to him quietly. His eyes glared as to see through me. He bit softly on the skin of my neck, again and again as he'd unzipped his pants.

Harry:

“Like this... Is that okay?”

I’d never been on top before. I could tell he was giving me the freedom to please him as I'd asked the other night. I nodded once again reassuringly and then I felt him. He filled me entirely as he gently pushed in all the way causing our mouths to part in pleasure. I felt tingling throughout my body, the familiar feeling of his curls against my skin intensifying the sentiment. We’d waited a moment as he held me.

Harry:

“You okay?”

He kissed my lips softly to his. I knew he'd been allowing me time to adjust to him in this way. I'd taken his lips as I'd began to move in response. He was warm and large inside me as I pulled up cautiously before coming back down. My name filled the car as his bottom lip was taken between his teeth. I'd continued my actions again as he rubbed my back softly with his large warm hands. He gripped my hips guiding me into him as I closed my eyes. I could see anything through the darkness. We went slowly so we'd both enjoy the feelings we gave each other. I felt so alive now with my boyfriend against me, I thought of his words to me on our ride and bursts of pleasure filled my veins. I took him into me again and again, my moments becoming paced now. He kissed me linking his fingers in my scalp as I missed the warmth of his chest to mine. I'd stopped momentarily pulling of his shirt as he covered us both in the large cover. My actions began again as he lifted my own top off revealing my bra. He kissed the area between my breasts as I felt his fingers in my scalp again.

Harry:

“I love your hair… you're so beautiful babe.”

His words set increased tingling in. I continued as his length came up before disappearing between us. I could tell he was near by the way he'd breathed into my neck. His eyes blinked shut as he enjoyed me.

Winter:
“Harry...”

I was warning him. He'd taken my words in, reaching between us to the spot that overwhelmed me. My sounds filled the car as I took him in further. I'd gone again and again until I felt him release warm inside of me. The sensation brought me to my end. He pulled me into him protectively as I let go. His hands still massaged my back. I caught my breath as I realized the fog that now filled the windows. He brushed our noses together making me fall for him all over again. I could no longer see the stars through the congestion of the windows. I lie my face into his neck as I rubbed his chest, he still lie deep within me. Wet kisses were place along my shoulders as he pampered me.

Harry:

“You have me.”

Our fingers were intertwined now.

Harry:
“Always…”
