The Contract

The concert was amazing. I couldn't even believe the passion they had behind every note. I felt like I was on cloud 9 and the only thing I wanted do do was get to Luke. I wanted him now more than ever. I could remember our chemistry after concerts in whatever it was I just came out of, and I needed it; craved it.
I checked my phone to see that Luke had already texted me.

L: Ready for an adventure of a life time?
D: Tell me when and where.
L: Go to the parking garage and you'll see.
D: Sounds intriguing, mysterious, and slightly terrifying.
L: Welcome to my life.
His last message made my stomach turn. This isn't your life. This isn't our life.
"Hey, guys I'm gonna hang out with Vanessa... Unless you want me to hang around?" Ryan spoke, or yelled, but I'm pretty sure he just couldn't hear himself.
"No, go. I'm gonna go see you know who, and I'm sure Dani is going to do the same." Rae replied, and I nodded.
"Be safe!" Ry actually yelled as he was already halfway gone.
"Hey." Rae spoke, "Take care of you."
"Take care of you." I smiled heading for the garage.
Why the garage?
"Hey you." Luke smiled.
"Hey! Great show." I smiled, giving him a hug. Whoops, bad habit.
"I made sure it was just as amazing as you hoped." he winked, "Ready to go?"
"Tell me where, and why the garage?"
He smiled he's sweet, devious smile, "C'mon." I took his hand and followed him around the corner to see a limo waiting.
"What's this?"
"Get in." he chuckled.
"I'm not sure I know this side of you Luke."
"Well it sounds like you know everything, and much more than a fan, so I had to chnge things up."
"Thanks for going long with my insanity."
He just smiled then softly looked out the window as we started moving. The limo took us from one end of the strip, to the other, then downtown.
"We're here." Luke quickly jumped out of the limo. "Do you trust me?" he asked and I took a second. Maybe if I do something crazy enough, I'll wake up from this nightmare.
"I guess I do." I smiled, taking his hand to get out of the limo.
We were at the zipline.
"No." I quickly stopped.
"Afraid of heights?"
"Afraid of falling." I replied.
"Does that mean I have no chance?" he winked.
Through hesitation I continued following him. We went through the waivers and got in our harnesses.
"You're good at signing things." Luke winked.
"Don't get your hopes up pretty boy." I smirked.
"Ready?" The instructor asked.
"Ready." Luke said steadily.
"Ready." I squealed.
"Have fun." the instructor spoke then pushed us gently over the edge.
I screamed like I never have before, and when I couldn't scream anymore, the ride became enjoyable. The views were amazing, but my favorite view was when I looked over to Luke who never looked more content. He saw my glance and smiled.
"WOOOOOO!" he screamed, and I couldn't help but laugh.
When the line came to and end we quickly unharnessed and headed back to the limo.
"So how was it?" He asked, like a little kid.
"Amazing. Death defying, but maybe that's just me."
"Yes you are." he smiled.
"You should work on your 'smooth' comebacks."
"Would you like a drink?"
"We can't exactly go and get one."
"The limo is stocked, and I want ou to lt lose and have a good time."
"Trying to get something, Hemmo?"
"Just a signature."
My smile dropped, and I know he noticed.

Luke's P.O.V.

Dani's smile dropped, so did my heart. Clearly she doesn't like the idea of the contract... My life... Is this even worth the try? I just can't let her go. She's different than Ness and Arz. I want a marriage with her, just like the life she described... It's not that easy.
"Alright. Let's start fresh." I stated as we got comfortable in the limo.
"Oh?"
"Never have I ever..."
"No... You're nuts."
"Careful." I smirked.
"Fine. Rules?"
"Drink when you have."
"Deal. I'm screwed, but deal." she smiled.

"Alright Hemmings, I swear I'm toasted. Don't take advantage of me." she slurred, I chuckled.
"That was the whole goal! Damn!"
"Sucks to be you then."
"Never have I ever thought about taking adavantage of you."
"I can't take advantage of myself." she retorted.
"You know what I mean."
She glared, then took a drink.
"Oh? When?"
"Right after the concert. It was something we used to do."
"I could get behind that routine." I smirked.
"Never have I ever.. No, wait that's a lie."
"What was it?"
"Never have I ever... stood in a limo sunroof." She spoke, then got up and did just that.
I stared at her bare legs in her little high waisted shorts. I slowly ran my hand up her leg and held her butt.
"Lukas. I don't need support." she scoffed.
I slowly rotated my hand to her inner thigh, then pulled away.
She started coming back in and straddled me.
"I miss my Luke."
"I want to be yours." I growled.
"Be mine... Really mine." she looked like she could cry.
Dani leaned in and kissed me softly, then passionately. I couldn't resist myself and went all in. I wrapped my arms around her and laid her across the seat. In the heat of the moment I started to black out and lost all control.

I woke up in my suite with Dani next to me. My phone was buzzing, and so was my head.
"Luke you messed up big time." my manager spoke sternly.
"What?"
"Headlines. You made headlines with a girl who isn't even contracted. What were you thinking?"
"I'm sick of the contract."
"The contract is your life. If the media doesn't respond better she's out, and we pick someone else."
The phone call ended and I looked at Dani peacefully sleeping. I checked twitter to see all the fuss, except there was no fuss. Dani was a nobody and everyone loved that. They loved that I looked in love for once.
"Oh boy..." I sighed seeing the majority of the headlines.
"Luke? What's wrong?" Crap.. I woke her up.
"Nothing."
"You have never been good at lying." she smiled.
"Here." I said, handing her my phone.
"Married?! Geez, just like the first time around." she laughed.
"You aren't mad?"
"I may not have actually been through this before, but I've been through this before. Except last time management made us choose to stay married or get divorced and have me wiped from history."
"Ha." I uncomfortably chuckled.
"Sorry, I can stop bringing up the whatever."
"I could stop bringing up the contract."
"Really?"
"No." I smiled, "Sorry. It's one in the same, it's just what you know."
"We aren't actually married right?"
"No." I smiled, but wanted to frown. "Speaking of the contract--"
"I heard what you said." she stopped me.
"You did?"
"Yeah, you hate it, don't you?"
"Yes, but it really protects me."
"From?"
"It's complicated."
"Right..." she sighed, "So what now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Where do I sign? What do I sign? Or do they just wipe me off the face of the earth because the fans hate me."
"They love you." I blushed.
"Really?"
"Yeah, they think it's cool I look in love with a nobody."
"Aw, you don't love me yet?" she joked.
I do.
"Conceded much? Or creature of habit?"
We both laughed, then my phone buzzed again.
"Hey, look. Rae and Mikey signed a contract, the fans must LOVE her. Or management does."
"What's the difference?"
"Management is good for the fans; fans are good for us. They just balance each other, not much of a difference."
"Your phone is ringing." she chuckled.
"Luke! Let's sin this girl up! Want to keep the marriage rumor? The fans are eating it up!"
"I-- I don't know, we haven't talke about it."
"Don't ruin the band like this."
The line went dead again.
"Let's do it." Dani spoke.
"Dani..."
"Seriously Luke. Let's do this. I want to. I want you."
"Everything about me though? You heard Ness."
"I want to find out for myself, and if her and Arzaylea got out, so could I."
"Well then, we have a contract to write up and sign. Let's go."
My heart was heavy as we finished the conversation and headed for the conference room to meet management. Can I do this to her too?

Dani's P.O.V.

As we walked up to the conference room to sign everything my heart raced and I felt nauseas. What did I just agree to?
