The Contract

Rae's P.O.V.

"Michael, it's been a week and she hasn't come home." I cried.
"Is she still replying to you?"
"Yes, but she still won't tell me where she is."
"I can't even imagine the repercussions."
"Repercussions?" I questioned.
"The contract? The amount of attention she's drawn with storming out, disappearing, and no posts? It's not going to be good."
"It seriously can't just give a little breathing room?"
"No." he sighed, before getting up. "I'm gonna go check on Hemmo."
R: Dani. I miss you, and I could really use a sister hug right now.
D: Milkshakes at Rockets? No funny business, or you can forget it.
R: Deal! See you in an hour. xoxo
How do I turn this around?

Luke's P.O.V

"This girl is not doing very well, Luke."
"Please, this is my fault, don't take it out on her. It can be fixed."
"You have til the end of the week before we take care of her."
Just then, Rob stopped talking. Mikey stepped in.
"Interrupting?"
"Nothing you wouldn't be hearing about if it were your girl." Rob spat before storming out.
"End of the week, huh? Good luck, mate."
"Don't rub it in, Mikey."
"Can you even explain what happened yet?"
"No. Every time I think of it these weird memories come into my head, but I don't know if you could call them memories; I'm not sure they've happened to me."
"Like?" Michael asked, but before Icould answer Ash and Cal burst in, and my head began to spin.
Suddenly I was seeing myself and Dani in Disney. The fireworks were popping off and I was down on one knee. She already had a ring on her finger, but I placed another. I proposed? We were married? Everything blurred and I was back to reality.
"Luke?" Ash questioned.
"Sorry, I spaced out for a minute."
"So you missed my epic mission impossible scenario of getting Dani back to you?!"
I chuckled, "I guess so."
"How about we got a much happier route, what's her favorite place?" Cal asked.
"Disney." Rae chimed in, "But trust me, you put her at any of the parks regardless, she will continue to ignore you. You'd just be giving her better distractions."
The boys and I all blankly stared.
"Sorry to interrupt? I was just going to let you know I'm stepping out for a milkshake and wanted to know if you guys wanted me to bring you one back." Rae replied.
"Sounds lovely! Chocolate for all of us!" Mikey replied, trying to hurry her out of the room.
"Add strawberry to mine!" I shouted as the door was closing.
"Wow! You really are just like Dani." Rae spoke, as the door shut.
"You guys don't think she's meeting up with Dani, do you?" I asked.
"She said Dani wouldn't tell her where she's staying, so I really doubt." Mikey reassured me.

Dani's P.O.V.

I saw Raegan smile from across the room when she saw me.
"I miss you! Where have you been?!" she squealed.
"Don't make a scene Rae."I sighed.
"Answer." she demanded.
"Well, at first I went to Elijah's..."
"Danielle Marie Henderson." she scowled.
"Hey, hey, let me finish."
Rae's face softened.
"When his girlfriend made it VERY clear I was not welcome I went to Shawn's..."
"Shawn? Who the--?! Shawn Mendes?!"
"Scene, Rae, you're making a scene."
"Shawn freaking Mendes." She whispered. "Danielle, I could kill you."
"Oh calm down, you'd miss me too much."
"Did you and Elijah?"
"NO. Ew. We may be exes, but I stopped being into that when he went flacid in the middle of sex, more than once. And his new girlfriend is nuts. And before you ask, Shawn and I haven't either. I may be mad at Luke, but I'm not sinking to his sick level."
We both sat in silence for a moment after that.
"Has he told you why he did it?" I quivered.
"I eavesdropped on a conversation earlier, but all he said was he was having 'flashbacks?' or something."
"Flashbacks?"
"He didn't go into detail. He wants to do something big to make it up to you. They were talking Disney."
"Disney wouldn't fix what he did, just because I was outside talking with Shawn."
"That was his reason?"
"One of the stupid, meaningless texts he sent."
"Are you going to forgive him?" Rae asked.
"Would you forgive Michael?" I snapped.
"Sorry, I asked." she frowned.
"Sorry, Rae. I'm just so bitter about it all."
"I don't blame you, but you can't hold onto it forever."
I sighed.
"Should we go shopping?" I perked up.
"Maybe when you come around, I've got milkshakes to deliver."
"Rae..."
"Sorry, Dani, I just can't do this right now."
Before I could say anything else she got up.

Luke's P.O.V.

I grazed my hand over Dani's side of the bed.
"Any luck?" Cal asked.
"None."
"I looked up her playlist on spotify a while back to make sure she was coll ya, know?" He chuckled, so did I, "If you wanna know how she feels, that's it." Cal finished, before he walked out.
I took my phone out as I lay on my side of the bed, and pulled up spotify.
"Dani's Playlist"
"Music speaks where words fail..." I sighed as I hit play.
As I listened pieces of different flashbacks came to me. One song hit me in paticular, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. I was flooded with images of Dani walking down the aisle, her parents giving her away, dancing the night away, whispering of leaving for tour, then she collapses. I pulled my earbuds out to stop the images.
"What the hell is going on?"

Dani's P.O.V.
I opened the door at Shawn's.
"Hey you!" He exclaimed. "You look down in the dumps! What's going on?"
"Rae is pretty upset I haven't gone home yet."
"Ah, wanna get your mind off of it?"
"What do you have in mind?"
"Video games?" he smirked.
"You're not sick of losing yet?" I smiled.
"I've been letting you win, let's go!"
We hurried off to his game room.

Shawn and I spent the night playing video games, eating munchies, and ending the night with a movie as usual. Then... I got a text.
L: Dani... I have questions... Weird stuff has been going through my mind and I need your help. Please.
"Everything okay?" Shawn asked.
"Fine." I half smiled.
"Luke, huh?" he chuckled.
"Yeah..."
"You know Dani... I--"
"Don't say it. It will ruin everything if we both say it out loud."
"Oh..."
"I'm sorry..."
We both sat in silence.
"Just know, I feel it too." I shyly spoke.
Shawn scooted closer and gently placed his hand on my cheek and neck.
"Just once... Please. I just have to know."
I took a deep breath.
