Tutor Girl

T W E L V E

Earlier in the week when her father told Lux he would be going out of town for business that weekend, he asked Lux if she would see if she could spend the weekend at Tyler’s house. All Lux told Ty was that she might need a place to crash. What she told Louis was that the two of them had her house all to themselves if they wanted. And the ear-to-ear smile on Louis’ face was enough to tell her he wanted to.

There was an anticipation that built up knowing she and Louis would have free reign over their lives and what they did with them for two straight days.

The plan was already set. Her father would drop Lux off at Tyler’s house right before he left for his business trip. Then Tyler would drive her back to her house where she would wait for Louis to get back from soccer practice. And then the two of them would have the weekend to be together.

Louis told his parents he was staying the weekend with his friend Andy – not that they really even cared where he was or who he was with.

“I’ll see you after practice,” Louis whispered in Lux’s ear as they left their trigonometry classroom.

“Yes, you will,” Lux said happily, a blush rising on her cheeks as Louis gave her a little wave and head over to his friends.

As Lux walked toward Tyler and Chelsea, who were already waiting for her by their lockers, Lux noticed both of them eyeing her and she felt her face grow hot almost immediately. Tyler was smirking wildly at her, knowing full well what was about to go down between her and Louis that night. And Chelsea’s look of disgust still told Lux that she thought Louis was a foul creature.

Lux and Chelsea were friends, but they definitely weren’t as close as she and Tyler were. Tyler befriended Chelsea at the end of their sophomore year. And well, Lux was just along for the ride. Lux thought she was a cool girl and had no problems with her, but she also wasn’t comfortable confiding her secrets with her either.

“I can’t believe you’re friends with him now,” Chelsea commented, turning her glare on Louis who was now halfway down the hallway at his locker with his friends.

“Louis? Why?” Lux asked, sending her an odd look.

“Because like, a couple months ago you were telling us how much you hated him,” Chelsea said, looking back over at Lux with a look of confusion on her face.

“I was not. I have never said I hated him,” Lux protested as she opened her locker and dropped her Trig book inside.

“You said something along those lines,” Chelsea argued.

“If I recall correctly, you were the one who was talking bad about him and I shrugged it off,” Lux countered with a knowing look.

“I was talking bad about him because he’s an asshole,” she scoffed, catching another glimpse of Louis at his locker.

“Yeah, that’s what you were saying,” Lux pointed out.

“What is this drama you two are stirring up?” Tyler asked, shutting his own locker.

“I was just wondering why all of a sudden Lux was like, B-F-F with Louis Tomlinson,” Chelsea scoffed lightly.

“Maybe she enjoys his company,” Tyler said with a nonchalant shrug. He could have easily outted Lux’s involvement with Louis in that moment, but he didn’t.

She could always count on Tyler to have her back. He knew the most intimate details of her life, but would never share them with another soul – even a girl he considered to be one of his closest friends. And that’s why he was her best friend.

“I’m sure a lot of girls enjoy his company,” Chelsea said spitefully as she closed her own locker.

Lux rolled her eyes. She wasn’t even going to dignify it with a response. Clearly, her opinion of Louis was not going to be swayed even if she tried.

“I’ve gotta go to class. I’ll see you guys after,” Chelsea said finally, waving them off before walking away.

“Bye, sweetie,” Tyler called after her.

Jeesh. That girl dislikes Louis Tomlinson,” Tyler giggled once Chelsea was out of earshot.

“Yeah. I mean, I didn’t really care for him either, I guess. It’s understandable. She just hasn’t seen the real Louis. She doesn’t know him like I do,” Lux said, shrugging it off.

“Well, honey. No one knows him like you do,” Tyler said, nudging her as the two of them walked in the direction of their last class of the day.

Shush,” Lux said, smirking at him as she knocked her shoulder into his.

.

.

“Are you sure you’re going to be fine staying with Tyler?” Her father asked her as they loaded her weekend bag and his luggage into the back of his car.

“Oh, yeah. Tyler’s parents love me. And besides, it will give me and Ty a chance to catch up. It’s been a while since we’ve had a sleepover,” Lux said, sending him a smile.

She truly hated lying to him, but unfortunately, her teenage hormones had her priorities all out of whack. Sadly, spending time with the boy she fancied was more important than telling her father the truth.

“You tell Tyler and his parents I say thank you and that I really appreciate it,” he told her as the two of them got into the car.

“I will,” she said with a nod.

“I could have sent you to your grandma’s, but I figured you’d like Tyler’s company better,” her dad chuckled as he started the engine.

“Thank God you didn’t,” Lux shuttered playfully, thinking about how her grandma’s house smelled like a litterbox due to the three cats she had roaming around.

On the way to Tyler’s, her father was going over his itinerary for the millionth time with her. If she hadn’t already studied it thoroughly to plan out the weekend, she would have it memorized just by the sheer volume of times he informed her of it.

“Okay, Luxy. I will see you on Sunday. Have a good time,” her dad said as he hugged her across the front console of the car after he pulled up into Tyler’s driveway.

“Bye, dad. I love you,” she told him.

“I love you too, sweetie,” he said, giving her a kiss on the top of the head before she got out of the car and grabbed her bag.

“Bye, Mr. Carver!” Tyler said as he came out the front door of his house.

“Bye, Tyler! Thank you!” Her dad said, sending the two of them a wave through his open window before he drove off.

“You ready to get back home and get your man?” Tyler asked, smirking wildly at her.

“I really appreciate this Tyler,” Lux told him.

“Oh, for sure. What kind of friend would I be if I wasn’t trying to help you get laid?” Tyler giggled as he grabbed her bag and carried it to his car.

“That’s not what this weekend is about,” she said firmly, trying to make it clear to him. It wasn’t about sex, even though she wouldn’t be opposed if it were to happen again.

“Oh, but I’m sure it’s going to happen,” he told her as he squished her bag in his back seat.

“I don’t know. Maybe,” she said quietly as a blush settled in her cheeks.

Lux pulled open the passenger door and slipped in as Tyler got into the driver side. She could feel the nerves tightening in her stomach as Tyler drove her back to the house she just left. Louis would be out of soccer practice by now and would probably be on his way over soon. She missed his presence in her house during the first week of his soccer obligations and she was excited to spend some time with him that weekend.

When Tyler pulled up into her driveway, he put the car in park before turning to look at her.

“I’ve got something for you. Just a little present,” he said as he opened the center console in his car and started digging through it. What he pulled out left a shocked expression on Lux’s face.

“I know you’re too entirely shy to buy these. And well, teen pregnancy is just so white trash,” Tyler chuckled, handing her a box of condoms.

Oh my god, Ty,” she said, looking around quickly, hoping no one was witness to this.

“You’re my bestie. I’m just looking out for you,” he said with a shrug.

“Thanks,” she said, wrapping him into a hug.

“You’re welcome, baby girl,” he told her.

Without another word, Lux shoved the condoms in her purse and let herself out of the car, grabbing her bag from the back.

“Have fun!” Tyler said in a sing-song voice as she walked toward the front door.

She waved him off as he back down the driveway and made her way back inside. A wave of anticipation washed over her as the door shut behind her. She and Louis would have an entire weekend to themselves.

She immediately went to her room and discarded her purse and bag onto her bed before she began pacing. Oh, god. She and Louis would have an entire weekend to themselves. She was nervous – exceptionally nervous. She bit at her thumb nail as she thought about what was taking refuge inside her purse.

The only time she was ever physically in the presence of a condom was her one night with Louis and now to have a whole box taunting her from inside of her purse, it really fucked with her. She loved Tyler for looking out, but her obnoxious shyness was killing her.

Quickly, she grabbed the box from her purse and shoved it in her underwear drawer, underneath everything. Out of sight, out of mind.

Moments later, the doorbell sounded and she knew Louis was standing on her front porch waiting for her, probably looking obnoxiously mouthwatering. Her stomach lurched with excitement as she made her way toward foyer.

When she pulled open the door, she couldn’t help but smile at him from ear-to-ear.

“Hi,” she said, biting at her lip, trying to stifle the excitement in her expression.

“Hi,” Louis said as his smile completely matched hers.

The two of them stared at each other for a few moments before she moved aside and let him in. He had his backpack on his back and the bag he always brought to practice in his hand. He set both bags down on the bench by the door and removed his coat and shoes before quickly grabbing Lux for a kiss.

“We’re going to have fun this weekend,” he told her as he looked into her eyes.

“Yeah. But remember, we do need to study for the trig test that’s coming up,” she reminded him.

“I suppose we’ll be able to find time between all of the fun we’ll be having,” he said with a chuckle.

A shy smile turned up Lux’s lips and she could feel the heat in her cheeks. She knew what was on his mind and she thought back to the box of condoms in her underwear drawer.

“Are you hungry? I can make something to eat,” she asked, quickly changing the subject.

“I’m starving,” Louis sighed dramatically as he dropped his hands away from her waist.

“Okay,” she said as the two of them made their way to the kitchen.

“Are you in the mood for spaghetti?” She asked, quirking an eyebrow at him.

“Yes, please,” he said with a smile.

As Lux dug out all the ingredients, Louis watched on.

“Let me help. I love cooking,” he told her as he began to open up the package of ground beef she just pulled out.

“Okay,” she said, smiling over at him.

The two of them moved fluidly around the kitchen making their pasta. They made a good team and the end product was absolutely delicious. Louis even helped with dishes before the two of them headed to the living room.

“Do you want to watch a movie?” Lux asked as she turned on the TV.

She didn’t know why she felt the need to fill every second of every minute with something for them to do. She figured, deep down she was scared of what else they might be doing if she didn’t. Ugh. She wasn’t sure why the thought of sex all of a sudden freak her out, when she was so willing to do it the first time.

“Sure,” Louis said, sitting down on the couch next to her, leaving next to no space between the two of them.

Lux quickly scanned through the guide menu on the satellite TV, trying to find something for them to watch. They decided on Almost Famous – a movie they both saw before, but thoroughly enjoyed.

As they watched, Lux felt Louis’ arm slowly wrap around her, pulling her to his body. At first she was stiff and felt awkward, but eventually she relaxed, realizing she was being ridiculous. It was Louis after all. The boy who told her he loved her too.

“Lay down with me,” Louis said about halfway through the movie.

Lux nodded and the two of them settled together horizontally on the couch. Louis wrapped his arm around her waist, spooning her against him and it made her feel so happy and so loved. This was what it was all about, right? Meeting someone, falling in love, being happy. Lux couldn’t help but lie there with a smile on her face.

God. That would be so much fun,” Louis said as they watched the characters in the movie singing ‘Tiny Dancer’ by Elton John on their tour bus.

“What? Being on drugs and jumping into a swimming pool from a roof?” Lux questioned about the scene prior to the one they were watching. Louis let out a boisterous laugh.

“No. Just being on the road with your friends. Making music and performing it. I’ve always loved music,” he told her.

“I-I heard you singing,” she admitted, unable to look back at him.

“When?” He asked, sitting up to look her in the eye.

“The first time I came to your house. You were singing as I was walking to your room, remember? I told you I liked your voice… or something,” she reminded him.

“Oh, yeah,” he said as his eyes darted away from hers. And she realized he felt insecure about it.

“What? You don’t think you have a good voice?” She asked, trying to break him out of his shell.

“No. I mean, I do – I like my voice. Whatever,” he said, shrugging his shoulders, but still wouldn’t look at her.

“But…?” She asked, coaxing him to tell her what he was thinking and feeling.

“I don’t know. It’s just… that’s one of Fizzy’s things. She’s the one with the good voice in the family – the musical talent. It’s… whatever,” he said, shrugging it off again.

“So? That doesn’t mean you don’t have musical talent or can’t have any,” she told him.

“I guess,” he said quietly.

“Don’t let your sister’s or your parents hold you back, Louis,” she told him firmly.

“Yeah,” he said, looking toward the TV.

“Hey…” She said, trying to get his attention. He looked down at her, his eyes looking conflicted.

“You’re good,” she told him and she meant it whole-heartedly.

A small smile worked across his lips before he leaned down to kiss her. She figured it was his way of ending the awkward conversation about his life.

Before they knew it, the credits were rolling and the movie was over. And they made out through nearly half of the movie.

“We… we should go to bed,” Lux told him breathlessly after finally pulling her lips away from his.

“You’re right,” he said with a smile.

She definitely didn’t mean it the way he did and suddenly a wave of anxiety plagued her as they got up from the couch. Louis grabbed his bags from the front entrance as she made sure the front door was locked. Lux shut off all the lights as the two of them made their way down the hallway before quickly turning on her bedroom light so they could see.

Immediately, she began digging for her pajamas in her overnight bag she brought with to Tyler’s. Louis set his bags on the bed and began digging in his soccer bag, pulling out a pair of basketball shorts and his toothbrush.

“I’m gonna go brush my teeth,” he told her.

“O-okay,” she said quickly, watching him walk out of her bedroom.

As soon as he was in the bathroom, Lux immediately began stripping herself of her clothing before replacing them with her pajamas – shorts and a t-shirt. Once that was taken care of, she also retrieved her toothbrush from the bag before walking to the bathroom where she found Louis already changed into his shorts as he brushed his teeth. He smiled at her through the mirror as she made her way in.

The two of them brushed their teeth in silence before placing their toothbrushes side-by-side in the holder on the counter. It warmed her to see his toothbrush next to hers. It was a small thing, but she absolutely loved it.

“Come on,” Louis said, reaching out for her hand. She placed hers in his and let him lead her back to her bedroom.

They moved their bags from the bed and crawled underneath the covers before turning out the light.

“Thanks for letting me stay over with you,” Louis told her through the dimness.

“Thank you for actually wanting to,” she told him.

“Of course I want to,” he said, causing Lux to smile widely.

She felt his hand slid across her stomach before his lips found hers. She loved kissing Louis, she truly did. She had no experiences to compare it to, but she was certain no one would ever be as good of a kisser as Louis Tomlinson. No one would ever be able to make her feel this way.

“Lux…” Louis breathed against her mouth.

“Hmm,” she hummed, licking her lips.

“If you wanted to… I mean, we don’t have to… but if you wanted to again… we could,” he said, quite obviously referring to sex.

Lux swallowed hard as her heart started to pound furiously in her chest, her nerves getting the best of her. But all that put aside, she did want to. She nodded to show him she was on board.

“Was that… uh, do you want to?” He asked awkwardly.

“I do,” she confirmed before she had a chance to over-think it too much.

“I, uh… I brought condoms just in case,” Louis told her as she turned on her bedside light and he got up to retrieve a condom from his soccer bag.

“Tyler gave me some too,” she confessed.

“He did?” Louis asked, sounding genuinely surprised.

“Yeah. He was just looking out,” she said with a shrug of her shoulders.

Louis nodded, but looked uneasy about it. Maybe he didn’t like that she divulged their sexual relationship with someone else. Suddenly, she felt extremely bad that she did. It was a private thing.

“I’m sorry,” she told him as he crawled back in bed.

“For what?” He asked, knitting his eyebrows together.

“For telling Tyler,” she told him.

“It’s okay,” he said softly.

“I just… I was kind of freaking out… and I didn’t know what to do…” She confessed.

“It’s okay. It’s a big thing… what we did. If I had someone to talk to about it, I probably would have too,” Louis said, looking a bit sad.

“You… you didn’t tell anyone?” She asked, her mouth nearly dropping open in shock. Louis shook his head ‘no’.

“I don’t really have that many close friends. And telling my parents or my sisters would be out of the question, obviously,” Louis said with a shrug.

“Yeah,” she said quietly, hanging her head.

“Are you okay with this?” He asked a beat later, eyeing her.

“This?” She asked, looking up at him again.

“Doing it again?” He asked awkwardly.

“Y-yeah. Of course,” she said, forcing a smile on her face as her stomach turned violent with nerves.

“You sure?” He asked, looking at her skeptically.

“Yes, Louis. I’m sure,” she told him, pulling a genuine smile, making sure he knew it.

Louis smiled and met his lips with hers, coaxing her down onto the bed. She knew she was ready.

Notes

As always, let me know what you think! Thank you!
