21 - Stare
The dress hugged Anna Lisa’s body perfectly, giving my eyes full access to the shape of her curves, the way her butt curves out, and beautiful aspects of her body. She’s gorgeous no matter what she has on, I’m a witness to that claim.
“That looks.. stunning on you, love.’’ I say, standing up from the chair I was in. This is the forth store we’ve been to today, and so far the shopping experience has gone well for me – and for Anna Lisa.
“I think this is the last one.’’ She informs me as I reach the rack packed with clothes, mostly shirts and dresses. “It is. Go on and take it off.” I tell her as I bring my wrist in front of me, checking the time. It’s a few minutes past one – not bad, we used our time wisely in each store so far.
I turn around just in the right moment – Anna Lisa was sliding the jeans up her legs. I give her a little smirk as she catches my stare, her cheeks redden up in a quick instant. “Why.. why do you.. never mind.’’ She laughs lightly as she buttons the jeans and reaches for her shirt. The sudden stop of her question makes me think, what is she wondering?
“Why do I what?’’ I ask, furrowing my eyebrows as I lean against the wall, both watching her and waiting on her. She runs her hands down the front of her body, smoothing the wrinkles out of the shirt. “Stare.. at me.’’ She mutters out, sitting on the stool so she can put her boots back on.
“Well baby, I’ll give you a few reasons.’’ I start, sighing with a smile. I find her curiosity adorable – innocent and cute, just like her personality. “One, you’re gorgeous. Two, you’re irresistible. And three, I love the way my girl looks.” I answered her question with complete honestly.
Anna Lisa does nothing but give me a slight smile, her face flustered at my words. Seconds later, she’s done redressing herself. “Alright, c’mon. We need to get going. I have a few more places I want to take you.” I say as I grab her hand and open door. The employee that assisted us earlier was still waiting on us outside the fitting rooms.
“Did we like everything?’’ She asks me with a smile, glancing between me and Anna Lisa. “Yes we did. Thank you for your assistance.” I tell her, giving her a kind smile.
She actually helped me get some words and opinions from Anna Lisa while we were looking around, I guess a woman’s input encourages her more than I can. But I don’t mind, I’ll do whatever I need to do to make sure she’s happy with everything.
The woman goes behind us into the room and grabs the cart, I offered to do it myself earlier but she assured me it was fine, so I let her. With the first step of my foot, I begin the walk to the front of the store, Anna Lisa’s hand in mind tightly. I hope we don’t get ambushed my girls. Today, so far, I haven’t been seen – but for me, especially in Los Angeles, things could change in a split second.
We reach the counter faster than I thought we would. “How was everything, Mr. Styles?’’ The girl asks me, she was maybe in her mid-twenties. “Good, thank you.’’ I mumble as I let go of Anna Lisa’s hand and reach into my back pocket to grab my wallet.
The other woman begins to pass the items of clothing over the counter. I sit my wallet on the counter top, I’m completely sure neither one of them will try to get it. Besides, there’s nothing in there but my license and my card – I hardly keep paper money on me. It’s too much of a hassle.
“Harry.’’ I hear my name being whispered. I look down to see wide eyes and red cheeks. “What is it, love?’’ I ask her, my hand going for her waist. She steps a few inches closer as she takes a heavy breath. “They’re not even.. five things in and it’s.. already over a hundred.’’ She informs me with a frown, I know this is bothering her – I wish she’d just accept it.
“Babe, relax.’’ I say, my other hand grabs the other side of her waist and I pull her a little bit closer. “Don’t worry about the money. It’s not an issue.” With my words I hope to calm her down, get her to feel more comfortable about all of this. But honestly I don’t even know if it’s working or not.
“You say that now.” Anna Lisa mutters out, her bottom lip pouting out more than it naturally did. “Honey, I assure you that I won’t ever go broke. God forbid.” I tell her, mumbling those last words to myself – just in case, you know. “Mr. Styles.’’ The woman behind the counter chirps my name. I look over at her and she nods towards the door.
My eyes dart to the entrance and I see exactly what she was warning me about – gushing, over dramatic, star-struck teenage girls. I gulp gently, not wanting Anna Lisa to see my slight distress. “Listen to me.” I sternly say. She gives me a nod, willing to follow my orders.
“Stand by that rack, do not turn around. Just ignore them. I don’t want you dragging into all of this yet. Understand?’’ I tell her. Anna Lisa gives me another a nod and she turns on heel, going to stand by the woman at the rack full of the things we’re getting.
The last thing I want is for her to get pulled into my world – the public eye, the rumors, the paparazzi. Everything. I just want to avoid it as long as I possibly can, at least until she gets one hundred percent comfortable with me. I don’t know how long that’ll be, or when they day might come. But I still don’t want her caught up in my fame.
“Oh my gosh! It’s Harry Styles!’’ I hear a piercing scream out of nowhere. I let out a sigh, it would be nice for some privacy every now and then – guess it’ll be a long while until I get that.
So how is it going? I'm not really confident. Feedback?? ♥♥
