The Morning After
I woke up the next morning to the sun peaking through my dark curtains. I groaned & sat up, but quickly layed back down when my skull felt like it was splitting in two.
"What the.." I reached up to touch the back of my head & winced when I touched a large bump.
"The hell did I do last night?" I wondered out loud. I slowly sat up again, slipped out of my red and black sheets, & made my way down stairs.
Once in the kitchen, I grabbed a bottle of aspirin & an ice pack.
"She's Alive!" Lily, my best friend hollered, making her way down stairs. I chuckled, & pressed the ice pack to my head.
"How are you feeling?" She questioned, concerned.
"Like I fell on my head, other than that, just peachy." I laughed & she joined me.
"I wouldn't doubt it." She replied, walking past me & grabbing two coffee mugs. She handed me one & poured a cup for herself.
"What happened last night?" I asked her, confused.
"You don't remember?!" She looked at me, shocked. I just shook my head.
"We found you passed out in the alley last night." She said, taking a sip of her rocket fuel. & Then it all came flooding back. I dropped the mug & ran to the bathroom, Lily hot on my heels.
"What? What's wrong? What happened?" I didn't answer her. Instead, I ran over to the mirror & moved my long, ebony hair away from my neck. We both gasped when I saw it.
Right there, right next to my throat. A bloody bite mark.
