One Year Later: October

Things over the past year have been fantastic, The band took another break and they have been working avidly on their own projects. Niall and I of course got married, and we did 100% what we said we weren’t going to do and have a destination wedding. Niall and I decided to get married in Mullingar at Cathedral of Christ the King, It was absolutely lavish with a whole lot of history behind it as well. Everyone that we loved was able to make it and since Niall’s father is somewhat of royalty everyone got to stay at Belvedere House, Which holds the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen.

The ceremony was romantic and very intimate, Summer served as my Maid of Honor and Annie and Hendryx as my Bridesmaids with Hadleigh and Everlee as flower girls. Niko served as Best Man and Wes and Z as groomsmen while the our twins being only weeks old served as ringbearer’s.

Speaking of the boys I had then on October 18 very early in the morning. They were just shy of being four weeks early which is typically normal for multiples. I remember it like it was yesterday, I had been feeling off for pretty much the whole week and couldn’t figure out if it was because I was getting sick or if I was getting ready to go into labor. Well I was preparing to go into labor, My water broke around eight thirty on October 17. Niall and I carefully put our hospital bags, the diaper bag and car seats in the Range. We dropped Everlee and Hadleigh off at Annie and Z’s then headed to the hospital. By the time we were checked in and they had the monitors on me it was pushing ten thirty at night, It didn’t take long after the pitocin was started for my contractions to be off the charts.
I was taking a break from contracting when my doctor came in at two forty five in the morning October Eighteenth.

“Ok my dear hope you’re ready. It’s time to start pushing” She tells me

I pushed for about fifteen minutes before baby A made his appearance, then five minutes later his brother came into the world. I was one exhausted mama bear but I finally had my boys happy and healthy. The little plaques on their bassinets read,

They boys weren’t in the nicu for very long before they got to come home. They were in perfect health just small.

Which leads us to today and what we’ve dealt with the last few months. Wyatt was blowing off Hadleigh and getting arrested for drugs so I had his right terminated. Niall is the only consistant father figure she has had in her life. Now though Wyatt is taking me to court to appeal the termination of pareantal rights, which is fine i’ve got my witnesses and i’ve got all my proof I’m not worried about anything at this point.

It had been two months since anyone including Wyatt’s attorneys had heard from him, so since he was a no show three times they automatically terminated his rights. Which is how Ryder was able to finally adopt Hadleigh as his own. Our family was finally complete, everything was amazing. Until I received a phone call from Sophia, Karlea’s mom. She was wondering if I had seen Wyatt at all. I told her no I hadn’t heard from him about two months. I asked why and she sounded very suspicous. She hadn’t heard from him either, he wasn’t making his visits with Karlea either.

We decided to call his parents and notify them and they called to police and got the missing persons report filled out and it was on every news channel possible throughout London. It was a rough three weeks at that time. Wyatt’s mom called me about two in the morning on December 21 and told me that the police had found him.

“That’s great, where was he?” I asked

“No honey, they found his body, hanging in a barn just north of Letchworth Village, They are saying it looks like a suicide and he’s been hanging there for quite a long time” She tells me

I stand frozen, I have absolutely no words at this moment. I just feel numb. This means my little girl will never get the chance to even meet her biological father ever, this gets me to crying. Plus I guess deep down I loved him but I loved him as our daughter’s father and nothing more, I finally gather my composure and tell Karen if there is anything she needs to let me know and I’ll do my best to help. We exchanged our good byes and hung up the phone.

“Love is everything ok?” Ryder asks me

“Umm no. The police found Wyatt.” I told him

“Then how’s that bad news babe?” He asks

“They found his body, dead. He hung himself in a barn just north of Letchworth Village, Karen is going to identify his body and make funeral arrangements in the morning.” I sniffle

“Oh Bailey, I’m sorry” He kisses my forehead

I don’t say anything else I just lie back down in my husbands arms and cry myself back to sleep.
