I will always choose you
Chapter 31
*** Harry’s pov ***
”Hey, Liam!” I shouted all over the parking-lot to get his attention. He turned around and waved while he walked with a high speed towards me.
“Have you heard?” he said when he was just a few feet away.
“Heard about what?” I said.
“Megan! I’ve tried to call you and I’ve left a bunch of messages, but you haven’t answered any of them!” he was clearly irritated.
“Yeah, I saw her in the cafeteria. I kind of… got in shock. I didn’t really see that one coming” I confessed.
“Harry, none of us did”
“Wait, how do you know about her? Have you seen her as well?”
“Well… I’ve known that she was coming for a while. Perhaps for a couple of days”
I turned away from him as I desperately scratched the side of my neck.
I didn’t want to hear it. How could he? Why didn’t he tell me?!
“Harry… I’ve been trying to tell you, but I… I never found a proper time. You’ve been hanging around with Sarah all days long lately, and it’s been pretty hard being able to talk to you alone like we’re doing right now”
I hate to admit it, but he’s right, although it’s not a good reason. He could’ve simply just told me that we needed to talk. It wouldn’t have been a problem.
I sighed and chose to face him once again. “What about now? Do you know how long she’s staying?”
“I think she’s staying a couple of weeks. Or maybe a couple of… months. Harry-“
“Just stop… Ugh, I hate this...”
*** Sarah’s pov ***
“Five, six, seven, eight and one, two, three, four, five six, seven, eight” Mrs.Gracia was counting, trying to keep the rhythm while I danced through the choreography. I was trying my best to look graceful and passionate. I could almost feel Megan’s gaze burning on me, but I tried not to think about her. I’m the one who’s going to be the one under the spotlight, hundreds of people are going to watch me. Not her.
Finally the piano stopped playing the song.
“Sarah, you really need to practice to keep up the rhythm, and your left foot more stretched out during Brisé and your right arm a little higher during the Écarté on the end as well. And also, it felt like you weren’t… here today”
I nodded nervously, tell me about it.
“I’ll do better next time. I promise” it didn’t mean to come out desperately, but I think it just did.
She nodded while her gaze was on something else. Like she didn’t care.
I walked over to my bottle filled with water, as I drank a big amount of it. I swept away the sweat on my forehead with my bare arm.
“Okay, Megan. Your turn” Mrs.Grace said while she clapped her hands twice, making the pianist start to play the same song once again.
Megan gracefully stepped out on the empty space and started moving along with the tones perfectly in sync. It was the same choreography I just danced through. Ugh.
To be honest, I haven’t got a good first impression of her at all. I don’t judge easily, but she’s really acting like a bitch. Who does she think she is?
Or maybe I’m just jealous..? I mean, come on. She has the perfect hair, the perfect body, her facial features are perfect… I’m sure she could get any guy she wanted without even trying.
“Pefect! Magnifico!” Mrs.Grace said while clapping her hands, making a small applause.
Ugh, she’s even a better dancer than me…
She smiled confidently, as her gaze then turned to me and she started walking towards me.
“See, that’s how you’re supposed to do it” she whispered into my ear and I could almost hear the smirk she was having on her lips. Then she continued walking, heading towards the dressing room.
Bitch.
