Chapter 3

The sun lit up the whole room the next morning. I guess I had forgotten to pull the curtains down, and trying to go back to sleep was now impossible.
Today is the day. The day I've been waiting for so long. Today is my first day attending the Royal Academy of Dance. Elementary school is far over, and it's finally time for new adventures. To start at a new school, with new classes, with new teachers and with new students (and friends). A whole new start just by attending my dream-school.I could barely believe it when I first got the admission letter. Among all the hundreds of candidate-students, they'd chosen me and around twenty others. It was a chance I was ready to take. This is where my future begins, my career as a professional dancer. Ballet was only one of the many dance-genres the school was teaching, but it was also the dance-genre I'd chosen.

My phone started vibrating and I pulled it out of a habit.
Another message from Mark.
He had been calling me many times during the night. He had sent me tons of messages telling me about how much he loved me, but also about how much he hated me. I had a feeling those writings was because of the big amout of alcohol he'd been drinking the whole night. As usual.
I didn't even openen up the new message before I threw my phone on the bed. Now in retrospect, I don't really understand why I even bothered myself answering his message last night. Yes, I do still love him. But are you actually supposed to love a guy who's regularly letting you down? Boys, guys, men! They lie, they cheat and they drink. At least those I hang out with.
I've had enough of them. I'm not letting anything and anyone affect the feeling I'm having right now. I've chosen to let the boyfriend-thing be empty. At least for a while.
Just school.
With that in my thoguhts I immediatly feel a lot more calm.

-----
The school's just as amazing as I remember. You notice that it's an old building. The architecture is not the same as modern time, but that's also why you find it being special. It's noble and beautiful.
The benefit of being a freshmen; everyone is exactly as confused and nervous as I am.
Us "newbies" have no idea about where we're supposed to be or where anything is spotted. I quickly walked over to the group of confused pupils who seemed to be gathered somwhere looking like the schools entrance. The schools outside is nothing compared to the inside. Marble stairs, fancy pleques and the floor was made of stone. It all reminded me of a castle.
I was really going to enjoy my time attending this school.
"Excuse me. Silence. Silence please."
Everyone falled silent. I was almost too scared to breathe, I was scared to be heard.
"Welcome to the Royal Academy of Dance. The school made for you who is living through dance."
The lady on the stairs continues. I'm feeling myself smiling as an idiot as she said the second sentence.
I started hearing a lot of whisperes a few inches away. A group of young adults seemed confused, almost a bit irritated.
"You know what I mean.. but..." The lady continue with a frown.
What? What does she mean?
"You're getting more information in the schools auditorium. Follow me, I'll take you there." The lady turned her back against us and started going up the stairs. We all followed her carefully.
During the small walk, all of us were blinded by the schools beauty. Some of the others started to poke on all of the vases and plaques we passed. I tryed my best to resist, as I thought that I'll do the same thing later while no one's watching me.
Some of the students were still annoyed and irritated. They seemed like being dissatisfied by something.
About what?
Finally we're standing in front of a big door made of tree. When I say big, I mean enorme. Rather gigantic.
I wonder how a person could be able to open up such a big door, but eventually the door openes up (without any difficulties by two big men, and the last thing you would've like to do was to get in a fight with them), and we begun taking place in the empty chairs in front of the huge stage. I sat on the first chair I was being avalible, and luckily I had a perfect sight. I could see all of the chairs slowly being filled up with students around my age. They're exactly as happy and expectant as myself.
A big man came out on stage as he poked on the microphone that was positioned in front of him. He cleared his throat as he opened his mouth,
"Welcome." Oh my god, I'm going to pee myself.
"I'm Mr. Whitney. Assistant principal here at Royal Academy of Dance. The principal wasn't able to welcome you today, but she's going to be present during the whole term. It's my job to.." He gets interrupted by a thud. Everyone's turning their gazes towards the big door. Thud. It can't be... Thud, thud. You got to be kidding me, how rude? Thud.
The big door slowly slipped up, and behind it there was a guy standing puffingly with his hands on his thigs, looking exhausted. He had just opened up that gigantic door all by himself.
"You... should... definitely..." He's breathing heavily between every word. "Get a lighter door."
Everyone's laughing loudly when he grinnied against his audiance.

Notes
