This time, since they weren't going above the speed limit, it took them about fifteen-twenty minutes to make it back to Hunter's place, but they didn't mind. They enjoyed it. They were blasting twenty one pilots and rapping along.

Hunter stopped in front of an old industrial building. He parked in the first open space he could find and they exited the car.

- I hate this place. - Nyssa said, breathless.

They were climbing up the stairs.

- I can't move. - Hunter was even more breathless than Nyssa.

Nyssa started laughing.

- We seriously need to start working out. - She said.

- Yeah. - He breathed out.

- I'm not sure if it's impressive or pathetic how we say that every time, but yet we never do it.

Hunter laughed.

Finally, they made it to Hunter's apartment, if you could call it an apartment.

The two of them were sprawled on Hunter's couch, with Hope's head in Hunter's lap and almost empty bottles of beer in their hands.

- You know, I honestly don't know why we make such a big deal about who's place we're going to when we literally live across the hall from each other.

- Well... - Hunter took a sip of his beer before continuing. - Your place is messier.

- And bigger.

- Snob. - Hunter told her.

- Wanker. - Nyssa said trough a small chuckle.

- Pussy.

- Dickhead.

- Bimbo.

- Cunt.

- Hey, you know what we should do? - Hunter inerrupted their long-established name calling.

- What? - Nyssa was still laying in his lap.

- We should get our own place. - He said. - I mean, we should be able to afford something decent together.

- Yeah, that's a great idea... Why didn't I think of that?

- Aw, is my baby mad 'cause she isn't the smartest person in the room anymore? - Hunter teased her.

- Piss off. - Nyssa said, she wasn't serious. - I'm still smarter than you.

- Yeah, yeah, you keep telling yourself that. - Hunter joked.

- You're an arse. - She told him.

- I know. - He said. - But, back on the point, is it a deal?

- About the place? - She asked.

- Ya.

- Yeah, definitely. - Nyssa said.

- You're not worried about me bringing girls late at night? - Hunter asked her.

- What girls? - Now she was the one teasing him.

- Ha ha. - He was sarcastic. - Oh hey, speaking of girls, I'm not coming in to work tomorrow.

- Wait, what? How is that related to girls? - She asked him.

- Well... - Hunter smiled down at her mischievously.

- Yeah, right. There are higher chances of me hooking up with a girl tomorrow than you. - Nyssa told him.

- I'd like to see that. - A mischievous smile was still on Hunter's face.

- Well, it's not like it would be the first time. - Nyssa said, matter-of-factly.

- The first time hooking up with a girl or the first time someone watching you hook up with a girl? - Hunter asked her.

Now Nyssa was the one smiling mischievously.

- Olivia Rose-Newton I'm demanding an explanation. - Hunter said.

- Why aren't you coming to work tomorrow? - Nyssa asked trough a chuckle, completely ignoring his demand.

Hunter sighed. He knew he couldn't get her to say anything she didn't want.

- I have a photoshoot. - He said.

- With whom?

- Some high school seniors, no big deal. - He said.

- Alright, just try not to do anything that would put you in jail. - Nyssa told him.

- Oh, you getting jealous, boo bear? - He teased her.

- In your dreams, hoe. - Nyssa told him.

- Oh, I'm hoe now? - Hunter laughed.

- Yeah.

- No te preocupes, mamacita. I only have eyes for you. - Hunter winked.

- Lo sé, papi. - Nyssa played along.

A couple of more beer bottles later...

''And a couple of shots... Wait, what? Who said that?''

Hunter and Nyssa were passed out on the couch.

Next Day

Hillside Cafe, Downtown Los Angeles

Nyssa was serving an elderly couple, trying to be as polite as possible.

''Which wasn't really easy with the hangover I had. Just sayin'.''

She was wearing a simple black crop top, with ''It's your loss, baby.'' written on it, which she had tucked into her high waisted boyfriend jeans which she had also tucked into her combat boots. Her makeup consisted of a simple winged eyeliner and a nude lip color.

Nyssa had one more hour until her shift ended, but in her mind it felt like forever.

- I don't understand these kids today, why would anyone want their hair to be pink? - A man in his 70s spoke to his wife, while Nyssa was placing their drinks on the table.

- Oh, shush, Adam... Don't listen to him, honey, you look gorgeous. - The man's wife said.

''I like her.''

Nyssa chuckled.

- Thank you. - She smiled at the woman.

- What's with all those tattoos? - The older man said, he was talking about Nyssa, but he was looking at his wife.

''Um, rude.''

- Would you get off the poor girl's back? I'm sorry about him, honey. - The woman said. - I'm Promise, and this grump here is my husband Adam.

- I'm Nyssa, it's a pleasure to meet you. - Nyssa politely said.

- Nyssa, that's pretty, is that your real name? - Promise asked her.

- No, um, my real name is...

''Now, you're probably wondering why I would go trough the trouble of changing my name only to be telling people my real one anyways... Well, since last night - not actually last night, but last night in the story - I told the well-known arse my real name, I figured there would be no harm in other people knowing it as well... It's only a name. They don't know the rest. Well, they do now, thanks to you-know-who, but they didn't know then... Anyway, just, keep reading.''

- Olivia. - Nyssa was interupred by a male voice calling her name.

She turned towards the sound's source. To her left was a young man, whom she didn't know in person, but she knew very well who he was. He was tall, his hair was curly and dirty blonde, his eyes a dark shade of green, he was nicely built.

''Yup, you've guessed it. It was Ashton Irwin.''

- Yes? - She answered.

- Hey, um, I know we haven't met, but could I please talk to you, it's important? - He asked her politely.

Nyssa looked at the Promise.

- Excuse me. - She said.

With her manager nowhere in sight, Nyssa led Ashton to a nearby table. They sat opposite of each other.

- What can help you with? - She asked.

- It's about Michael. - He said.

- Really? I couldn't have guessed that. - Nyssa said sarcastically.

- Right, sorry. Look, um, I don't know what exactly happened between you two. - Nyssa cut him off.

- Don't lie. - She said coldly.

Ashton bit his bottom lip.

- Okay, yeah, he told me...but I promise you, he didn't ask me to come here. - He told her truthfully.

- Then what are you doing here? - She asked him.

- I came here to ask you, friend to friend, to please talk to him. - He told her.

- And, friend to friend, why would I do that? - She rested her elbows on the table.

- Come on, he told me about the kiss... You may not want to admit it, but you do care about him. - Ashton said.

- Oh, for fuck's sake, what is it with guys here? It was a kiss, not a proposal. - Nyssa said.

- Okay, so you don't care about him? And you wouldn't feel a thing if I told you he stayed up all night last night moping around his room, or that our manager is threatening to kick him out of the band 'cause he missed a photoshoot and a radio interview? - He asked her.

''Polarize'' started playing. Nyssa's phone was ringing. It was Hunter.

- Hey, what's up? - She answered the phone.

- I need your help. - Hunter sounded desperate.

She could hear loud crying and yelling on his side of the phone.

- What the fuck is going on there? - She asked, confused.

- Just please get over here. - He pleaded. - Oh and, bring your makeup.

- My makeup, why?

- Please. - He said, not answering her question.

She breathed out.

- Fine, what's the address? - She asked.

- 7928 Highrock Boulevard.

- 7928 Highrock Boulevard. - Nyssa repeated. - Alright, I'll be there as soon as I can.

- Don't forget your makeup. - A loud scream was heard. - Please hurry.

- What the fuck? - The call ended before he had a chance to hear her.

Ashton has been patiently waiting for Nyssa's call to end.

- Look, whatever is going on with Michael is your problem, not mine. - Nyssa told Ashton. - I don't have time for this.

Nyssa got up from the table.

- It was nice meeting you. - She said and walked away.

- You too. - Ashton quietly said before sighing loudly.
