Heartless Love
Chapter One
Ashley's POV
I was running and running as my muscles were burning and I was sweating as I turned around to see him running behind me and the weapon in his hand reflecting and shining. I ran as the vision in my eyes was blurring after all I hadn’t eaten for a week and my throat was so dry that it was beginning to hurt. I couldn’t stop running it was either rest or my life. I had a feeling to puke and so it reminded me about the past days as I tripped. I felt someone’s alcohol filled breath over my body close to my face I opened my eyes
“Why were you running my darling did you not have fun the past few days or should remind you of our amazing memories”
He slid his blade over my shirt and cut it then slid it across my stomach causing it to pierce my stomach “
As I screamed in pain
“Shhh now, no one’s going to hear you here”
“NOOOO!” I screamed as
I woke up to see myself back in my room. I ran to my bathroom and shut the door and collapse on the floor crying. I shivered at the memory as I looked down to see the huge scar over my belly button .Even though we had shifted to our new house the bad memories seemed to haunt me forever.
I got up and decided to take a shower the sun peeping through the windows only told me one thing and one thing only today was a new day but not only that it was also my graduation today .I turned on the hot water as I stepped in the shower and steam started to fog the mirrors around me. As I let the hot water droplets submerge my pains and memories.
I got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around my torso and then wrapped my hair like a genie.
Since I had my graduation I decided to wear

I hopped down the stairs to the smell of something so sweet and delicious
“MMMMMM what’s cooking good looking?” I asked my friend as he laughed
“When did you get here?” I asked Lucas
“10 minutes ago and I saw you had no breakfast and I guessed you were getting ready so decided to make some for you”

The buzzing of my phone interrupted my thoughts as I saw niall’s name flash on the screen.
“Hey bestie “his Irish accent that I missed a lot chimed through the phone
“HI NI”
“So are you ready for today”
“YUP”
“WELL IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE FUN IF YOU WERE HERE”
“I know I’m sorry but we’re in Spain and I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it hectic schedule”
“I’m just kidding I know it’s ok at least you called”
“So how you doing Ash”
“I’m same old same old what about you Mr. Celebrity?”
“I’m great Ms.Hot Stuff”
We both chuckled
“Well I just called to say good luck and I’m massively proud of you I would have hugged if you were here and I’ve got to go bye”
“Bye nialler love you” I said and hung up the phone
“So who was that” Lucas asked me as I entered the kitchen to see a stack of French toast on the counter
‘Niall” I said grabbing a few and poring syrup all over them
“Oh right I haven’t talked to him for a long time now” He stated as both dug in
“Ready babe?” he asked
I fixed my lip gloss in the mirror and we left
I locked the door behind me and Lucas opened the passenger seat door for me
We both got in the car as I remembered something
‘Where’s your graduation gown buddy?”
‘Oh right hold the wheel will you?”
I grabbed the wheel as he reached back in his seat and got his cap and gown out of a bag and put it on.
I laughed as he got his cap the other way around
“What are you laughing at babe?"he raised his eyebrow
“Your cap” I laughed again as he realized and started laughing too.
He fixed his cap and took control over the wheel once again
“Ashley...” he trailed off looking nervously at the wheel
“Hmmm” I answered
“I have something to confess”
“What is it?” I was now looking at him
“Remember when I told you I had just arrived at your house?”
“What about it”
“I had actually come when you were in the bathroom taking a shower I heard you crying in there and your bed was really messed up”
“Oh” was all I managed to get out as my breath had caught in my throat
“Can I ask what happened?” he was now looking at me
“Uhhh I just.its just that.i was.umm idk” I stammered as I could feel the tears forming in my eyes
“Ashley you know you can tell me anything right “he held my hand reassuringly
I panicked as a tear rolled down my cheek
“Hey, hey don’t cry babe “he looked at me with worry and wiped the tear with his thumb
“I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked you” he looked ashamed and sorry
“No I’m sorry it’s ok I m not crying because you asked and I will tell you when I’m ready okay” I rubbed my thumb over his hand
He nodded and looked around for some parking I gathered myself was graduating I was actually going to graduate I was done ,we were done.
We both stepped out of the car
“Ready?” he stood next to me
