From the Ashes [ L.T ]

Ana’s POV
A Week Later
Time, it’s one of the things that human race had never got their hands on. One week since I started my college, in other words, since I met Louis in my classroom. I still can’t believe that how good friend he had become. His sassy comments, cheekiness and infectious laugh bring me warmth and make me feel like I’m at home. I hung out with him and Harry every day after our class and had lunch or coffee together. It was really great to have such good friends. With my job at the café, class and studies; I rarely had any free time – which I felt good about, less time my brain and mind work together the better.
The doorbell rang when I was writing in my journal sitting by the window. I wondered who it would be and went to open the door. I was engulfed by warm hands and a loud laugh in my ears which made me smile and returned the hug. I looked up to meet those warm blue eyes and a smile that reached his eyes.
“Are you two going to stand at the door all day?” asked harry who was standing behind Louis.
I moved back, so they could enter inside. “What are you guys doing here?” I asked them.
“We came to rescue a friend of ours who has holed herself in her apartment on a fine Sunday evening”, Louis said with a bit of sarcasm.
“That’s right”, Harry piped in, “We let you sit in yesterday, but not today”.
“But Harry- I started.
Louis came in front of me and closed my mouth with his hand and said, “Now hear me Ana, you are coming out tonight with us. No arguing on it”.
I was startled by his sudden move and looked him with wide eyes. I tried to say, “Louis, you don’t understand it. I can’t just go out and party like you guys do. It’s not my scene. So please let me be”.
“Here is the thing, we are going out for dinner and maybe a movie or something along with our other mates and their girlfriends. You don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to do. I am not going to force you, I hope you know that”, Louis said and he looked serious and sincere.
“Now, you go and get ready Ana, while we wait for you”, said Louis as he pushed in the direction of my room.
“Okay, alright. Make yourself comfortable. Do you want to drink anything? There is some drinks in the refrigerator at the kitchen, help yourself”, I said to them who was lounging in my couch and Harry had remote in his hands.
I went in shaking my head thinking how they get their way, especially Louis. He said his other friends will be there, I thought nervously as I choose what to wear. I am not good with new people, though I got along easily with Louis and Harry. I decided to go with my black skinny jeans along with a blue checked shirt and brown ankle boots. I brushed my hair and decided to leave it loose and applied some eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. I took my purse, checked for money and my phone. I looked myself at the mirror and let out a breathe saying ‘Let’s deal with this’. I walked out of the room calling out for the boys, “Guys, I’m ready”. Louis jumped up and clapped his hands, “Let’s move, they will soon reach the restaurant”, and smiled at me gesturing me to go first as he reached the door. This feels really good to have friends and spending time with them and I grinned looking him as a fool.

I'm posting after a long time. A lot have changed in my life. I got married and its been a month and half after the wonderful day :) I hope you guys like the post.
