I heard a knock at my door. What could they possibly want now? I opened the door and instantly perked up when I saw my best friend, Jenessa. Jenessa? She was in Oregon, though. I was in New York. What? Jenessa? "OH FOR GOSH SAKES!!!!!!!!!!! HUG ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jenessa yelled. I hugged her like there was no tomorrow. "Why are you here?" I asked. I was utterly confused. "The real question is," I leaned in closer as her hands told me to, "WHY WASN'T I HERE BEFORE???" She screamed. "I DON'T KNOW BUT YAH JUST BLEW OUT MY EARDRUM!!!!" She was inside so I went to shut the door, laughing my butt off with Jenessa. There he was. One of the people who had judged me in so many ways. Niall. Niall freakin' Horan. "Omgosh!Isthat?Whatthe?Whyisheatyourdoor?" Jenessa said. My little speed-talker. "I don't know. Honest." I said. "Kierstin." He said. "Yup, that's my name..." I said. Jenessa shoved her elbow into my side. She mean't to nudge me... but she's... Jenessa. The hulk in a small, asian body. I mean I was only two or three months older than her but I was always towering over her. "I-I-I know." He said. Of course, he knew. I rolled my eyes. "Kierstin! Sorry Niall." she laughed under her breath, "Can I talk to this child for a second?" He slightly nodded and she slammed the door. "WHAT THE HECK HE'S BEEN OUR IDOL FOR LIKE, SOOOOOOO LONG AND NOW YOUR JUST ACTING LIKE A TURD!!!!!!!!!!" She boomed. "NOW SHAPE UP!!!!!!!!!" She boomed again. "Fine. Okay." She opened the door looking nice and sweet again. Haha yeah, right. "Sorry 'bout that Niall." She said. She started to twirl her hair. Haha. Oh. Jenessa. "Kierstin, can you introduce us?" Jenessa asked. She was so forward. Niall hadn't even said anything. "Okay. Jenessa, your idol. Niall, Jenessa." I said. Jenessa blushed wildly. "Nice to meet you Jenessa but I really need to talk to Kierstin." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside. I shut the door behind me. I heard Jenessa huff and walk away. "Kierstin..." He started. "Don't worry about it. I know, I'm a monster." I said. "Kierstin, that was something you had to do. And plus that's who you were, not who you are." Niall said. Oh my god! I just got a pep-talk from Niall freakin' Horan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "I know it's just... so horrible..." I said. He leaned down to me and whispered in my ear, "Kierstin. That's your past. Now, is your future." Niall said. Wow. Those words probably just changed my life. Like, no joke. "Wow... Um, thanks..." I stuttered. "Kierstin, seriously, anytime." Niall smiled and did the thing that was so distant from my mind. He gave me a Horan hug. He smiled and ran off. "Bye Niall!" I yelled as he ran down the street. I had not even noticed he had put a picture of him in my back pocket. I fished it out and walked in. I slid my back down the door. Holding the picture for dear life.
