Clueless | N.H.

"I love you, Laura. Don't you ever forget that, whatever happens. Ever." He whispered right before he kissed me softly on the lips and I was confused. Would I ever see him again? What was happening?
"Niall.." I started completely confused and he put a finger on my mouth.
"Shhh Laura. You don't have to say it back." He whispered and I shook his head. I wanted to say it back. I loved him. I loved Niall.
"Niall, I love you too." I cut him of and his eyes widened. His lips parted but he stayed quiet.
"Oh, my beautiful girl. Don't you ever forget me." He said and started kissing me. I kissed him back but started thinking. Was he saying goodbye?
My heart was racing as he stood up and started packing. My heart hurt, he would leave me now. As we started getting along he was already leaving. But I couldn't be selfish. It was his family. I couldn't ask him to stay. I knew he had to go.
As he packed all his things he started walking to me. I stood completely frozen in the middle of the living room. He grabbed my waist and pulled me against his body. His other hand was on my neck as he pulled me into another passionate kiss.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry love. I love you." He mumbled between kisses and I hugged him. He just held me in a hug and kissed my forehead.
I knew this wasn't going to last. I knew it. It was too good to be true. He was too perfect.
"Come on I'll drive you to the airport." I said sadly.
"Oh no, Laura. I'm leaving with a train to Paris and then I go on the plane." He said and kissed my forehead again.
"Oh okay. Let me take you to Nancy." I answered and he nodded.
"Come on." I said and went to the door. He caught my hand and squeezed it. I looked into his sad blue eyes and smiled. He was so perfect.

Our drive was silent mostly. After half an hour we finally came to the train station and Niall stepped out from my car. I came close to him and he pulled me in a tight hug. Then he kissed me one last time.
"I love you, Laura. Never forget that." He whispered in my ear and went to the station.
I just looked after him. He was perfect with his baseball cap and sunglasses as always.

A week went by without Niall. I was sad but I started working again so I sometimes forgot about my sadness. Our hotel was renovated and I got a new massage table. That was a good news.
I decided to text Niall so I would see if he came home safely.

Laura: Hey, you home safe?
Niall: Yes, love. Everything okay. I'll text you. I love you.
Laura: I love you, Niall.

I texted Niall again a few times in the week but there was no answer. Maybe he was just busy with his family. Strange, he didn't even tell me what was wrong.
One friday I came home and I didn't feel quite okay. I felt dizzy and and my legs didn't work. I layed on the couch. I closed my eyes and tried to calm down.
Within minutes I felt my stomach turn and my food went up. I ran to the bathroom and suddenly I vomitted in my toilet. Well fuck, was I sick or something? Or..? Fuck.
