MICHAEL'S POINT OF VIEW

It's December now, our little baby was born last month. Morgan named her Sam, since she wanted her to have a gender neutral name. She doesn't really ever cry, which is kinda weird since I thought babies cry when they need something, but she's so sweet and chubby.

CALLIE'S POINT OF VIEW

It's the day after Christmas, I've been staying at Calum's dorm for a week-ish since his roommate and girlfriend are across the country visiting their family. We've had countless "moments" and feelings towards each other, so I decided for Rowan's sake I'd leave today. Around Calum, I'm just a time bomb, waiting to blow up and destroy everyone around me. What I'm saying is in order to keep Calum and I in our relationships, I'm leaving sooner so we don't do something we'll regret again.

Calum gets a text and his face falls.

"What?" I ask, zipping up my bag.

"Uh-" He scoffs, "Rowan just dumped me? For a college professor?"

I raise my eyebrows. "Over text?!"

"Well yeah, she's across the country right now."

"She could have at least called you." I huff.

He shakes his head. "It's fine." He looks over at me, "Have a good ride home." He smiles.

"Calum, I could stay if you don't-"

"No I'm okay. Besides my roommate is coming back tomorrow, and you have Emyli." It's sad because it sounded like he was reminding himself, not me.

"Right, right." I look up at him, "Okay well, see you in the summer." I smile. He just keeps looking at me. "Calum?"

"Um, y-yeah, see you in the summer." Calum smiles, not taking his eyes off of me. I smile some more, hoping it'll cover up the immense amount of feeling I have for him. I walk out of his room, and take a deep breath. Why do I always get myself in these situations?

Emyli calls me, so I answer it, "Hey, what's up?" I smile.

"Um. Hi.." Great. Does everyone dump everyone during the holidays?!

"You okay?"

"Callie I- Um. Kinda. Sorta.. Met someone..."

"Uhh.. Alright." I whisper.

"I'm so sorry-" I hang up and start walking down the hallway. I stop halfway, and feel like I'm missing something. I didn't leave anything at Calum's, what could I have possibly forgotten? I get the weirdest idea of just running back and kissing him,, but I don't, of course. I shake it off, and call a cab.
