I swallow. Luke looks over my shoulder and grabs the package because he probably didn't understand.
"Again?" He asks.
I nod my head.
"You're pregnant again?"
My eyes fill up with tears. Luke sees it and picks me up. He carries me back into the bedroom and puts me on the bed.
He kneels in in front of me.
"Hey, it's going to be okay..." He whispers while he takes my hands.
He rubs his thumb at the back of my hand.
"It just can't be that it happened again!" I say while a tear falls down my cheek.
Luke is quiet for a moment.


"Look, I don't want you to get mad now.... But.... Do you even know sure that it's... Mine?" He asks carefully.
"What?"
"Well, we used protection every time.. Maybe that you were drunk or something, maybe while I was on tour..."
"You're suggesting that I cheated on you?"
He's quiet and doesn't look me in the eyes.
"Luke, I would never cheat on you. Even if I'm drunk, I would never cheat on you."
"Could you please...." I don't let him finish.
"Let it check? You don't believe me?"
"No, I do believe you.."
"But you don't trust me enough."
"No! It's not that!-"
"You know what? I'll deal with this and you in the morning. I'm tired."
I lay down onto the bed and lay and arm around my stomach.
I hear Luke sigh and hear him walk to the bathroom.


After a few moment I hear him come back. He lays himself on top of me.
I groan.
"Luke.."
He ignores me and kisses my stomach.
"I do trust you. I just wanna know it sure, for both of us, Because I love you." He whispers.
My heart breaks and I open my eyes.
"You shouldn't act that way! I can't be mad at you if you do that!" I complain.
He smiles and goes up again. He kisses me softly and long before rolling off me.
"I love you too." I whisper.
"We say that a lot, don't we?" He laughs.
I nod my head.
"Better a lot than not at all." I smile.
"Agreed." He smiles too.
He kisses me again before laying his hand on my stomach and closes his eyes.
"Goodnight princess."
"Goodnight baby."



~The next morning~


I wake up with Luke's head and my stomach. I smile and pet his hair.
"Luke?" I whisper.
"Luke!" I say louder.
He startles before lifting his head and looking at me.
"How did you end up there?" I giggle.
"I couldn't sleep, so I laid my head on your stomach."
"and you fell asleep?"
"I always fall asleep with you close."
I smile and he kisses me before getting up and walking to his closet.
"Hey, did you have any of those t-shirts I asked for." He asks.
"No, they didn't have those anymore."
"Than what am I supposed to wear? None of these fit."
Oh god, he can be such a girl sometimes.
"Just go shirtless, I don't mind." I smirk.
He comes back.
"Am I going somewhere today?" He asks.
I think. I'm like his home-manager, I need to remind him of everything.
"As far as I know, you're totally free."
"So we have a day together?"
I nod my head.
He smiles and climbs on top of me. He kisses me long and fiercely. Without thinking he runs his hand down my stomach and suddenly stops.
"We gotta talk about that." He says.
I sigh and nod my head.
"C'mon." He takes my head and leads me downstairs.


He goes to the bar at the kitchen and let me take a seat. He sits next to me and looks at me for a moment before talking.
"I know you're probably going to upset about this too, but we really need to consider this.."
"what?"
"... Adoption..."
"Luke.."
"Just hear me out, okay? It's not in the money, I mean, with you as a lawyer and me as..."
"A rockstar?" I smirk.
He chuckles before moving on.
"Anyway, we can afford it in money, but I'm worried about you. I'm going on tour again in a few months. You'll be in your own. I'm not doubting your abilities, but I'm afraid that you're going to work too hard. I know you want to be independent, and that it was hard to give up your job for a while... But you already have your hands full on Sarah..."
"You're afraid that I'll breakdown?" I smile.
He sighs and nods, ready for another yell. I'm hurt by that, I don't want to yell at him. I didn't even realise that I yelled at him so much. Guilt washes over me as I realise that all.
"Luke, I'm not going to yell at you..." I softly say while I stand up.
"You're not?"
"Of course not, I think it's sweet of you... And I'm so sorry about yesterday night, I never wanted to be mad at you.."
"I know."
"And I'm sorry for all those times I yelled at you..."
"I know."
"You did?"
"From the beginning. You're always feeling after you yelled or were mad at me. I know princess, you may not say those words everytime, but I know that you're sorry."
I smile and kiss him.


"But about the adoption, are open for it?" He asks.
I nod my head.
"Maybe it's better..."
He smiles.
"Take it easy princess, we don't need to make the decision yet. We'll first go to the doctor and-.."
He was cut off by Sarah's voice. He chuckles.
"Well, seems like the Queen's awake. Better go check on her before she gives you the orders to chop my head off." He chuckles.
I giggle with him.
"You go call the doctor for an appointment okay? I'll go check on her." He stands up, kisses me on my forehead and walks away.
I smile and grab the phone. I dial the number and wait for someone to pick up.
I hear Luke through the babyphone.
"Hey Sweetheart.." I hear him whisper.
I smile and everything wants to go upstairs right now.
Then somdone picks up the phone and says those boring standards words.
"Hello, you're speaking with Demi Haywood, I would like to make an appointment..."
