Drunk In Love

DEMIS POV


I sit in the hospital looking nervously around. We're all here. Mike, Ash, Cal, Mel, Harry and his friends and me. I'm squeezing Harry's hand and when I look down I can see that Harry's hand begins to look purple and I quickly let go. Naill sits next to me with Sarah on his lap. I smile when I see her grab with her tiny hands to Naills face.


After we wait a while I stand up and begin to walk around.
"Demi, he'll be okay." Harry tries to calm me.
"What if he's not?" I ask worried.
"Here, just hold Sarah." Naill says while he holds her up.
She may be an accident, but she was my accident, and I love her to death. I hold her tight and whisper
"Daddy will be okay little girl, he won't leave us. Not like this." But I think it's more to calm myself then to calm her.
Then I see Luke's parents. I know they think it's my fault, I was the one he was texting with when he drove the car. I sigh and look the other way.
"It's going to be all okay.." I whisper in Sarah's ear.
She just brabbles something and reaches for my hair.


After waiting, what seemed an entirety but was probably just a few minutes, A nurse comes out a room.
"I'm sorry, but Mr. Hemmings is awake. He wants to speak to Demi?" She asks.
I see that his parents look slightly disappointed and I walk to the nurse.
"That's me." I say while I shake her hand, still holding Sarah.
"Follow me." She smiles and we walk through the door. We walk through a hallway when I softly ask
"Can he.... Speak?"
"Yes, he asked immediately if you and Sarah were okay and if he could speak to you." She smiles at me.
I sigh in relief and we walk in silence to a room and she says to me
"You can't stay too long, he'll need his rest."
"Of course, we won't stay too long." I smile and walk into the room.


When I see him lay in the bed tears appear in my eyes. His left leg was broken and he was covered in bruises and scratches. His forehead was bandaged and he was sleeping.
I slowly walk to him and take a seat in a chair next to his bed. He slowly opens his eyes and looks at me.
"Princess...." He begins but I cut him softly off.
"Shhh, it's okay. I'm here, and Sarah is too." I softly whisper and I look for a second and Sarah, making sure she doesn't pull at the things here.
When Sarah sees Luke she brabbles happily and tries to climb on his bed.
"Take it easy sweetheart." I whisper while I lift her up and put her on Luke's waist. I smile while she tries to put her fingers in his mouth.
"Hey, baby girl. Little weird to see daddy like this huh?" He says softly.
She lays her head on his chest and falls asleep in just a few minutes.
Luke focus his attention on me again.
"Luke, you're tired. Just go to sleep, I'll be here when you wake up." I whisper while take his hand and lace our fingers.
"Princess, I need to speak to you.." He whispers.
"You can do the when you wake up again." I say.
"Okay, but promise you'll be here." He smiles.
"I can't promise that because I don't know when you'll wake up. But I'll promise I'll stay as long as I can." I whisper.
"Thank you. princess I love you."
"I love you too baby."


I wake up with my head on Luke's chest. I look around and see I'm still in the hospital. Then I see that Sarah still here too. I slowly stand up from the chair and I grab Sarah from Luke's waist. She needs something to eat of course. Suddenly, the nurse comes in and smiles at me.
"You fell asleep, so I let you sleep." she says while she checks something.
"Thank you." I smile while I nod my head.
"No problem." She says while she walks away again.

Just when I want to leave, Luke wakes up.
"Princess, you're still here." He smiles.
"Yeah, but I need to go, Sarah didn't eat." I say while I walk back to his bed and give him a kiss on his forehead.
"I'll be back in an hour or two okay?" I smile at him.
"Okay." He says and before I'm out of the room, he fell asleep again.
