We Haven't Forgotten

*2 months later*

I hear a knock on the door and I open the door to find Ashton standing at the door with Chinese takeout.

“I love you.” I exclaim and take the bag, closing the door on Ashton but her stops the door with his foot. “Oh, hey Ashton, didn’t see you behind the bag of Chinese takeout.” I joke.

“That’s funny, I didn’t see you either. Sucks being short isn’t it?” he retorts and I punch him in the side of him arm.

“Come on, let’s eat.” I say and we make our way to my kitchen table.

“Hold up, the boys are waiting in the car. They wanted me to make sure that you were home.” He says and facetimes Michael. Michael’s face pops up as he answers.

“Janice!” he yells as soon as he see my face.

“Come on up.” I smile, not too much longer after they hung up there is pounding at my door.

“It’s open!” I yell and Michael and Luke embrace me in a hug as soon as they walk in the kitchen.

“Hey bubs.” We greet each other but Calum stands awkwardly in the doorway.

“Hey Calum, come on in. There’s food on the table.” I offer and he walks in.

“How’s it going Janice?” This cannot be anymore awkward. They say that when you’re friends with your ex it’s not as awkward, but this is weird on so many different levels.

“Not too bad.”

“Okay, cut the awkward greeting and let’s break open some beers!” Ashton interrupts, and I’m grateful for that.

(Calum POV)
It’s cute how Janice tries to include me in the conversation and how much the guys love her, I still feel jealous that she could forgive Ashton for what he did but we can’t hold a normal conversation alone anymore without it being weird. I take a sip of my beer and laugh along at the jokes that are being told.

“Hey, I still have my old phones that have pictures of us at the old house!” Janice exclaims. She jumps us and runs to hallway and we hear a heavy thud.

“I’m okay! I just slipped!” Janice yells and we chuckle.

“Michael stop!” Luke says giggling but Michael still is struggling with getting something off of Luke’s pants.

“Michael, stop it! That tickles!” Luke giggles and Ashton and I make eye contact and roll our eyes.

“Luke, what the fuck did you do to make this stain on your pants? Because I know it’s not my-“Luke covers Michael mouth quickly with his face beet red.

“Don’t tell me that you were planning on finishing that sentence.” Luke says very seriously when I start laughing. I cover my mouth and try to contain it. Janice walks in again with a couple of phones in her hands, watching Ashton and I beet red, laughing our asses off and Luke covering Michael’s mouth and Michael furiously scratching at Luke’s leg. Luke uncovers Michael’s mouth and he looks up slowly.

“Cum.” Michael says finishing his statement.

“I honestly don’t even know how I put up with this.” She sighs and plugs in the phones into the wall and connects some of them to portable chargers.

“Let’s see, this one is charged enough. I need my fingerprint for this so it won’t be too hard.” She says speaking to herself.

We all surround her and spend hours looking through her phone and watch videos of us making fools of ourselves and one video is when I pushed Janice into the pool when she had all of her clothes on and she pulls me, me thinking that she was going to give me a kiss. That’s when I notice that Janice has tears streaming down her face.

“Hey, it’s okay.” I say pulling her into a hug.

“I miss us.” She mumbles.

“Me too.” I answer quietly
