‘Ready To Run’ – One Direction

Bella's POV

She waited outside for him. The evening was pleasant, a cool air gentle on her face. She had decided to dress in something nice, considering it was an important dinner. Her legs were clothed in black skinny jeans and 6cm black wedges were on her feet. The cold shoulder top was a dark purple, the sleeves loose, fanning out around her wrists, the scoop neckline revealing her chest, which was adorned with a simple silver necklace. The Pandora bracelet with the two charms her father had gotten her way back in February circled her right wrist and her watch was in its usual place on her left one. Her brown waves were loose, beautifully washed and shiny. Rings on her two middle fingers were the last decorations she had slid on tonight, leaving her ears bare. Bella checked the time on her analog watch. 5:55pm. The sound of car wheels made her look up.

A sleek black car pulled up in front of her on the street. The windows were tinted but she knew who was inside. There were no fans or paparazzi; at least Bella didn’t see any in her line of sight. Her left hand rested on the railing beside her, her heartbeat increasing when the car door opened.

Harry Styles stepped out onto the footpath. He looked amazing. He had mixed glamour with relaxation. His signature black skinny jeans and black boots looked flawless on him. A dress shirt the most perfect shade of blue with a black suit jacket hugged his lean shoulders. His brown hair was out, his curls freshly conditioned and styled. His smile hit her heart dead centre as he quickly walked over to her. His cross necklace glinted in the light, matching the sparkle in his green eyes.

“Evening, beautiful.” He whispered.

“Hi.” Bella grinned. They rushed inside the apartment block, the car driving off down the street. Once the door shut behind them, Bella found her lips engulfed by Harry’s, eager and passionate. Her reaction was to lock her arms around his neck, returning his kiss. She sighed with joy as they pulled apart briefly to breathe. His lips were on hers again for the second time, warm and sweet. She couldn’t get enough of him. Too much was never going to be enough. Harry kissed her cheek and hugged her tightly, lifting her off her feet. Bella laughed as his face went into her hair, holding her close against his body. It felt so good to be in his arms again. Smell his addictive scent, feel his warm breath on her skin, hear the sound of his voice, relish the taste of his lips.

“I’ve missed you, Bella. So much.” Harry whispered, his lips on the shell of her ear, making her shiver.

“I’ve missed you too, Harry. It’s so good to see you again.” She whispered back as he put her down, letting her wedges rest on the floor. Bella finally got to marvel at him, from the proximity. His skin was a perfect shade in between pale and tanned, the buttons of his dress shirt undone appropriately but she could clearly see the wings of the swallow tattoos on his chest. He looked so handsome and it was hard for Bella to believe that he belonged to her.

“No trouble getting here then?” She asked, fixing the lapels of his suit jacket.

“Not really. I mean, there were fans and paparazzi at the hotel when I left. It’s obvious they know I’m here to see you but no-one know I’m here in this apartment block. We should have no interference tonight.” Harry answered. Good. That’s the way it should be. She thought. Her hands moved down his body, catching his left hand with her right. She looked into his shining eyes and squeezed his fingers.

“Ready to meet my family?”

“Lead the way, Miss Frost.” Harry smirked at her, sending sparks over her heart. Bella walked past him, keeping her hand in his, and led him up the stairs to the fourth level. She stopped in front of the front door to her apartment and pushed it open by grabbing the doorknob. Bella let Harry walk in behind her before she closed the door. She turned around the corner and walked into the living room where her family were seated.

“Everyone?” She called for their attention.

On the couch and two armchairs sat five people. Jo looked beautiful in a pair of black pants and a white collared shirt with three-quarter length sleeves and had small heels on. Half of her brown hair was done up in a bun behind her head and her make-up accentuated her features. David was also in a dress shirt like Harry but it was a paler blue and he had rolled the sleeves up, baring his forearms, matching the pair of suit pants covering his long legs. Amanda’s dark blonde hair was loose, flowing just two inches over her shoulders, and her ensemble was a dark red sleeveless blouse tucked into a black skirt, heels also on her feet. Bella’s grandmother, on her mother’s side, was also there. Her name was Jane and looked quite good for her age of 72. Her hair was dyed dark but grey roots streamed into her hairline. She had the friendliest blue eyes and her gentle smile was welcoming. Last but certainly not least was Ashley. Bella had dressed her because Ashley had wanted her to. Her dress was black and so were the flats on her feet. Her dark hair was also loose but Bella had put some curls in it, giving it some style. The 12-year-old’s brown eyes shone with new tears when she saw Harry. Bella could see she was trying to contain her excitement and shock. She’s doing a good job though. Obviously, Harry saw her too. He let go of Bella’s hand and took a step forward to Ashley.

“Come here, love.”

Ashley almost leaped out of the armchair she was in as she quickly approached Harry, wrapping her arms tightly around his torso. Everyone chuckled softly as Ashley sobbed silently. Harry embraced the young girl back, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. He looked at Bella out of the corner of his eye and winked. Bella watched as her younger sister and her boyfriend hugged. There was an instant warmth. Bella smiled. It was a wonderful thing to see.

“It’s great to finally meet you, Ashley.” Harry said after he let her go, kneeling down to get closer to her petite height. Ashley couldn’t speak. Her eyes were bright and her face was pink. Her hands trembled as she wiped her tears away.

“I…love you so much!” She said.

“I love you too.” Harry smiled. That earned him another hug, Ashley’s arms tight around his neck. He rubbed her back and whispered “Thank you for your support” in her ear. Bella hated to be the person to break the moment but introductions were needed.

She familiarised Harry with each person individually. He was a gentleman to Jo, Jane and Amanda, giving them kisses on their cheeks. He shook David’s hand firmly and hugged Ashley again because he wanted to. It was already such a good start and Bella was optimistic that everything would go well.

“Harry, do you mind if I have a talk with you?”

Bella looked at her father with fearful eyes. She didn’t want him to scare Harry off. David was very serious when it came to boyfriends. After Jacob’s horrible behaviour, her father was protective of her and guys she dated. But he seemed to like Harry. It was time for the face-to-face test.

“Of course, David, sir.” Harry nodded. Bella clutched his hand tightly, hoping it would be OK. He looked at her and bumped her chin with his free hand, smiling at her softly. David walked away with Harry a moment later, out onto the balcony, shutting the sliding glass door to have some privacy.

“Bells!”

Ashley’s was high-pitched and full of elation. She was beside Bella, looking up at her, her hands held tightly together over her mouth.

“I can’t believe I met him! He’s so nice!”

“He is, isn’t he?” Bella agreed with a smile. The two sisters joined the other ladies in the kitchen, getting everything ready for dinner.

Harry's POV

Spring had hit Australia but the weather still clung to a winter’s chill. The night was dark, an array of small sparkling stars twinkling above. He could see Sydney lit up in the distance, the Centre Point Tower towering tall over the other buildings. It was refreshing to be back in Australia, without the frenzy of touring. Harry could just relax and enjoy the view.

“So, Harry, I don’t know a great deal about you. How was your upbringing?” David asked. Both men sat in chairs on the balcony, their long legs crossed over.

“I grew up like any other boy my age. My childhood home is Holmes Chapel in Cheshire and my parents divorced when I was seven. That was hard for me but I still maintain a good relationship with my father. After I auditioned for The X Factor in the UK and One Direction was formed, my life completely changed. I love everything I do and if I wasn’t living my dream, I definitely wouldn’t have met Bella.”

The conversation turned to the subject of Bella, as Harry had expected.

“About Bella, how do you see being with her in the future?”

“I’m not really sure. My mind has been so occupied with the final leg of the tour and our album. And since now we’ve announced our hiatus, it’s difficult to get some time to myself. But…with Bella, I feel like I can be myself. I don’t have to change the way I am. She makes me feel free…and loved. I’ve never met a girl like her and I’d love to spend an infinite amount of time with her.”

Harry was always happy when he was with Bella. All the stresses of his career disappeared and she was the only one on his mind. He wanted to be with her for as long as possible. But whether that included marriage was something that had recently moved into Harry’s thoughts. He was only 21 and she was less than two months away from turning 20. They were both still so young. Life had just started and there was so much ahead for them.

“You’re a real gentleman, Harry. Very English.” David chuckled.

“My parents, mainly my mum, brought me up to be that way. I respect women a great deal. Bella told me you’re English. What part are you from?”

“Croydon.”

“So you’re close to the main city.”

“Yes, it’s not far.” David nodded.

“When was the last time you went there?” Harry asked.

“To England? God, it’s been about…eight years, I think. My parents and my two siblings are still there so I only go to visit them. My home is here in Australia, where my children are.”

Just from the tone of David’s voice, Harry saw how much he loved and cared for his two daughters. It was David Harry had been most nervous to meet. The girlfriend’s father was an important person to get through to. Harry wanted to show him and the rest of Bella’s family what he felt for Bella. That he would keep her safe and make her feel loved every single day, even when they were apart. Harry rested his hands on his knees and looked out from over the balcony, the splendour of one of the most famous cities in the world standing in the distance. The boys and Harry were so surprised about the support they always received in Australia. In a country so far away from their homes, it was amazing.

“Harry…I want you to know that I have heard about your past relationships.”

The part I’ve been dreading…
He knew it would come up at some point during the night. He was glad it wasn’t at the dinner table but in the privacy of just him and Bella’s father. Harry looked at him. David’s face was stern.

“Bella’s had her heart broken before. I don’t want it to happen to her again, especially since she’s so young. From the way she talks about you, she adores you. She idolises you. She loves you. I’ve never seen my girl so happy and I want that to continue.”

Harry had learnt about Bella’s previous relationship with Jacob. She had told him what happened when she was on tour with the boys. Harry was shocked that Jacob had two-timed her. A beautiful sweet girl like her deserved so much more, not a cheating idiot. He raised his palm up to David.

“I assure you, David, I love your daughter very much. I would never do anything to hurt her. I know the tabloids say I’m a womaniser but I’ve matured. Bella is the only girl I want. She’s all I need. I promise to take good care of her in whatever situation.”

A small smile appeared on David’s face. The sound of the sliding door opened and Amanda’s head popped out.

“Dinner’s ready, gentlemen.” She informed them before disappearing. Both David and Harry stood up at the same time. Harry fixed his suit jacket as David clapped a hand on his shoulder.

“You’re a good man, Harry. I can see why my daughter fell for you.” He said before going inside. Harry followed him slowly, his heart sighing with ease. I’ve passed her father’s test. He felt like a huge weight was suddenly lifted off his shoulder. He felt lighter. He closed the sliding door behind him and when he turned around, Bella was standing next to him.

“How was it? Was he OK with you? He didn’t interrogate you, did he?”

Harry shook his head.

“Everything’s fine, Bella. I think your father approves of me.” He smiled. He saw a look of relief wash over her face as she circled her arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to his cheek. Harry’s smile widened and he wrapped her arms around her, chuckling softly. The clearing of a throat made both of them look in the direction of the sound. Ashley stood a couple of feet away, her arms folded with a single eyebrow raised. She tried to look unimpressed and mature; it was humourous for a 12-year-old to do.

“I thought kissing was cute. But now, just…ew.”

Bella removed her arms from his body, blushing and glaring at her sister for interrupting. Harry wasn’t fazed. He only smirked at Ashley, flashing her his dimples. The young girl smiled and went to the dining table to sit down. Harry took Bella’s hand and they followed Ashley. The table seated the seven of them comfortably, Jane, Bella and Harry on one side with David and Amanda across from them, leaving Jo and Ashley to sit on opposite heads of the table.

“This looks so good.” Harry said, his mouth salivating as he stared at the tacos and toppings laid out in front of him. Underneath the table, he felt Bella’s fingers grasp his. He looked at her and in her eyes, the words “Good luck” spoke. And so the dinner began.

Just like the day Bella met Harry’s family, everything with Bella’s family had gone exceedingly well. Harry felt very pleased to be welcomed into their lives and everyone was so friendly and kind. Over the course of the evening, it was like his status was completely forgotten and he was treated like the normal boyfriend being introduced to his girlfriend’s family. It was refreshing for Harry not to be screamed at or have girls fainting in front of him. It was just normal talk. Bella and Ashley showed him around the apartment, including both of their bedrooms. One whole wall in Ashley’s was covered in posters and pictures of One Direction. She was embarrassed by it but Harry told her not to be. She showed the band support and love and that’s all they needed from their fans. He laughed at the pictures of when all the boys first started out five years ago. Their baby faces and different hairstyles. Boy, we’ve changed so much… He shook his head with disbelief. Harry couldn’t believe how far they’d come. He remembered the moment he first stepped onto The X Factor stage and now he and the three other boys were playing sold-out shows around the world. It was unbelievable.

Bella’s bedroom was different. She had the letters of her name on white squares nailed above her bed. Harry noticed the small numbers at the bottom of each square and realised they were large scrabble letters. There was a small white canvas hanging on the wall next to the window with the quote: “Don't choose the one who is beautiful to the world. But rather, choose the one who makes your world beautiful.” – Harry Styles pained in black on it. He approached the canvas and raised his hand, touching the letters. She’s got a quote of mine in her room. I must inspire her… The thought made him smile.

“It’s my favourite quote of yours. I don’t know why…it just is.” Bella said. Harry looked over his shoulder and saw her walking in his direction, coming up to a halt beside him. She looked at the words before her gaze went to him.

“It has so much meaning to me now. You are the one who makes my world beautiful, Harry.”

He lost himself in her voice and in her eyes. She was so mature for a girl her age. She had just started her adulthood but she already knew what she wanted and what she believed in. Harry couldn’t stop himself. He took her in his arms and placed his mouth on hers in a passionate kiss. Their lips melted together perfectly, Bella’s hands tugging at the lapels of his jacket. While Harry was the one who made her word beautiful, Bella was the one who made his world beautiful. In hindsight, he couldn’t imagine his life without her. Harry knew it was cheesy to think so but that’s what he had faith in. They stood there together, cherishing where they were and who they were. It was Bella who made the next move.

She led him to the bed and pushed him down on the mattress, the kiss breaking. Bella crawled on top of him, the most stunning smile on her face as she locked lips with him again. Her hair tickled his face, his hands gripping her forearms as he laughed, her breath smelt so good. They forgot about everything and everyone. Fortunately, the door was closed and locked so no-one could come in and interrupt their make-out session. Overall, it was a fantastic night.

It was just past 9:30pm when Harry said he had to leave. He thanked the women for the wonderful food, kissing them goodbye on their cheeks, and shook David’s hand, telling all of them it was great to meet him. The hug he shared with Ashley lasted over 30 seconds but she managed to release him out of her grip. As he and Bella walked to the front door, he got a text from his driver.

From Jeff: H, car’s outside now.

He’s waiting…
His eyes fell upon the front door of the apartment. He didn’t want to leave yet. But Jeff was waiting. His girlfriend looked at him with soft hazel eyes, her make-up bringing out her pink cheeks and beautiful facial features. Harry didn’t waste another second and pulled her in for a warm hug. She buried her face in the crook of his neck, clinging to him, her arms wrapped around him.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Bella.” He whispered.

“What do you want to do?” She asked. Harry moved his hands down to her waist and looked down at her.

“How about we just stay in? Come to my hotel. I’ll text you where it is tonight.”

Bella agreed as his forehead touched hers. Their goodnight kiss was the sweetest one he had received so far. Intoxication flooded his body as they shared air, sighing as their lips pulled apart with a soft wet sound.

“I love you.” Bella murmured, her nose bumping against his.

“I love you too. Sleep well, beautiful.” Harry said, kissing her forehead. He stroked her cheek with the back of his hand and left the apartment. But not before giving her one last smile when he closed the door.

In the car drive back to the hotel, Harry received a text from the young woman he loved.

From Bella: I hope you had a good time tonight. You didn’t seem nervous at all and my family loves you :) I’m still trying to calm Ashley down, she can’t believe she met you! I can’t wait to see you tomorrow, Harry :) I love you xx

Harry didn’t even need to think about his reply.

To Bella: I had a wonderful time. Your family were so welcoming and kind (and your mother and grandmother are fantastic cooks). Give Ashley another hug from me. She’s a brilliant young girl. I know she’ll go far in life. Looking forward to spending the whole day with you, beautiful. I love you too x

Harry relaxed back in the car seat, smiling to himself. It was a great way to start off his short trip to Sydney. He would call his mother tonight and tell her about the warm welcome he had received from Bella’s family. He knew she would be very happy for him. And in truth, Harry himself was happy, more so than he had ever been.

The theory was confirmed when Bella Frost was seen going into the Hilton Hotel this morning. The pair were not seen or photographed together at all. Styles’ life has been in the public eye ever since he was 16 so it isn’t a surprise that he wants some privacy, especially with Frost.

Styles’ Sweet Romance Going Strong

It seems that Harry Styles and his girlfriend, Bella Frost, are still as much in love as they were when they were seen together during the North American leg of One Direction’s fourth world tour.

Styles just tweeted a picture of himself and Frost in what looks like his hotel room in Sydney about an hour ago. He also attached Frost’s Twitter account, which she has probably just gotten. The picture is a beautiful one with Styles and Frost touching cheeks, smiling at the camera, with the caption: ‘Spending some long-awaited time with @Bella_Frost’
. The tweet has already been retweeted over 150,000 times and Frost’s account is quickly gaining followers every second.

Harry Styles Seen In Manly With Girlfriend

Despite being the youngest member of English-Irish boy band One Direction, Harry Styles seems to be doing the best with his love life.

Styles had already been in Sydney for nearly two days and he’s keen to see more of his girlfriend’s home. He was photographed today walking hand-in-hand with Bella Frost along the Manly Beach walkway. But they weren’t alone. A young girl was walking on Styles’ other side.

There’s no information on her but many Directioners believe she is Frost’s younger sister. There are videos on YouTube that support this. It has been revealed that Frost is a fan of the band and attended the opening concert to the On The Road Again tour back in February. The videos show the band singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to a young girl, who looks exactly like the girl walking with Styles and Frost today.

So, Harry seems to be fitting in well with his girlfriend’s family. The laughs and smiles exchanged between Styles and the two girls say everything. He isn’t slowing down with his romance any time soon. Styles is known for his past relationships with stars like Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner but his relationship with Frost is one he’s seems to be taking very seriously. There’s been no information on how long Harry is staying in Sydney but let’s just enjoy that he’s here for the time being.

Bella's POV

Bella looked at her iPhone screen in surprise. The number of followers on her Twitter account was so high. 250,000 to be exact. She had never been sent so much love from Harry’s fans and it made her so happy. It was a pleasant surprise. After deleting her Facebook account, Bella didn’t wanted to have an online account for anything. But Twitter suddenly appealed to her after Harry told her how great it was to use to connect with fans. So she made an account.

Her mother followed her immediately as well as Harry and the other members of One Direction, even Zayn. People involved in behind the scenes also followed her, namely Lou Teasdale and Lux (even she had an account!). Anne also followed her and so had Robin and Gemma. The moment Harry tweeted the picture of her and him, Twitter went crazy. I’m finally known to the online world.

Her gaze shifted to her left, to the canvas with Harry’s quote on it. She got off her bed and padded over barefoot to the wall, looking at the words he said. Words that hit her heart and made her believe them. On the bottom right-hand corner, Harry had written a delightful message:

‘My beautiful Bella, these words are as true to me as they are to you. I will forever love you xx’, followed by his signature and a love heart.

Bella smiled. Harry was the first person she had loved but what she felt for him was so deep and so real that she was certain she’d never love anyone more than how much she loved him. Harry had everything, and Bella didn’t mean his fame or money. She meant his personality and his looks. He was the whole package. The dream man.

The Game of Thrones title music was loud, bouncing off the walls. Bella went to pick her phone up and her eyes lit up when she saw it was Harry calling. She didn’t hesitate in answering it.

“Hi, Harry.”

Good evening, beautiful. It’s so good to call you without worrying about time differences.

“Yeah, I say the same.” Bella laughed. Instead of Harry being thousands of kilometres away from her, he was so close. Less than half-an-hour away.

How’s your Twitter account going?

“It’s crazy, Harry. I made the account yesterday and I’ve already got 250,000 followers! Your family follow me and so do all the boys. And that picture you tweeted, it’s got so many retweets, it’s ridiculous. I can actually see how popular you are, it’s nuts.”

You deserve every single one of your followers, Bella. Many of my fans love you. The positives greatly outweigh the negatives.

“I suppose you’re right. Now, is there a reason behind this phone call or do you just want to hear my voice?” Bella grinned.

Both, really. I always love to hear your voice but I do also have a question.

“What’s your question?”

We’ve had a great couple of days together already. I was wondering what would you like to do tomorrow?

“I’ve already organised something, actually.” Bella wished Harry could see the cheeky smile that was on her face right then. She hadn’t told Harry but as soon as they had organised the days he would be in Sydney, Bella booked a two-night stay at a retreat in Kangaroo Valley. She had saved up almost all of her work money to book the mini holiday because she wouldn’t allow Harry to pay for anything. He’d already done so much for her and she felt the need to repay him.

Oh? What are we doing?

Bella sucked on her lower lip as she looked at the signed canvas on her wall.

“That, baby, is a surprise.”

You’ve never called me “baby” before.

I haven’t…I don’t know why. It just slipped out…
She was silent.

“I haven’t…”

Hey, it’s a good thing. I like it.
Harry’s tone was pure sex. It turned Bella on but now wasn’t the time to think sexually. She’d rather actually have sex with him than do it over the phone.

So you’re not going to tell me what we’re doing. Can you at least give me some information on where we have to meet and what time?

“Come to my place at about 10 o’clock. Pack and bring a suitcase. We’re taking my mother’s car because she won’t need it.”

Ooh, we’re driving and staying over somewhere. Sounds exciting…

She couldn’t wait to take Harry to Kangaroo Valley. She had only been there once herself when she was 13. It was a beautiful place to escape to and get some privacy. Which is exactly what Bella wanted with Harry. No screams and no camera flashes. Just the two of them surrounded by Mother Nature.

“I’m excited too. It’s going to be fun.”

I look forward to it. See you at 10 tomorrow morning, beautiful.

“Yep. Bye, Harry. I love you.”

I love you too.

That night, Bella had wonderful dreams of what the journey away with Harry would hold.

Harry's POV

He was used to driving expensive cars, driving them around England and America. It was a different experience being the passenger in a silver Hyundai, driven by his girlfriend. Buildings and houses disappeared behind them as they drove away from the city.

“So you’re still not going to tell me where we’re going?” He sighed.

“Nope. The only thing I’m telling you is that where we’re going is private so no-one will disturb us.” Bella said. Her answer was so vague and it was infuriating but in a good kind of way.

“Good.” Harry smirked, deliberately placing his hand on her inner thigh in a sexual move. Her eyes went wide and she slapped his hand away.

“Harry! Thank God I’m at a stoplight!”

Harry smiled at himself and shot Bella a wink. Private place. Perfect for sex. He hadn’t touched her in that way for a couple of months. He craved her. He wanted her so badly. The way she moaned and the way her body writhed beneath his was something he always looked forward to.

Countryside arose from the depths of true nature. Harry looked out of the window, admiring the beauty of the landscape. The only parts of Australia he had seen were the civilisations. He had never been to the country part but he kicked himself (figuratively) for not coming before. But he was glad to experience it for the first time with Bella. He couldn’t think of anyone better, because it was her home. They had been driving for about two hours when Harry saw a sign that told him exactly where Bella was taking him.

Kangaroo Valley.

The place she had booked was called Rivendale Retreat in the ‘Upper River’. It was a beautiful property completely surrounded by magnificent sandstone hills with lush greenery. Beams of warm sunlight streamed through the grey clouds, casting an ethereal glow over the landscape. It was absolutely stunning. Harry couldn’t find the right words when he stepped out of the car. He turned around in a 360-degree circle to take in everything. It was magical. Breathtaking. Stunning. Enchanting. The touch of her fingers on his hand turned his attention to her. Bella had a smile on her face and the strands of her hair turned red in the sunlight. She was like an angel herself, taking Harry’s breath away.

“What do you think?” She asked.

Harry didn’t say anything. He wrapped her in a tight embrace and lifted her off her feet in one quick move. He spun her around in circles as she giggled in his ear, holding onto him, her legs flying out around her. When he finally put her back down on the ground, he kissed her cheek warmly and buried his face in her flowing hair, swaying her from side-to-side.

“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” He grinned, releasing the hug to kiss her. It was the best surprise he had ever received. A romantic getaway with the girl he loved. Harry looked at the private retreat over Bella’s shoulder and his head went Wow!

“This is amazing, Bella! How long are we staying?”

“I booked until the 19th so we leave on the Saturday morning.” Bella answered. Harry stared at her in astonishment.

You booked this? You paid for everything?”

Bella nodded.

“I saved up my money from working at the bakery for the past two months. I wanted you to experience the true Australia while you were here. I found this retreat online and thought it was perfect. No-one can interrupt us.”

No yelling fans. No paparazzi. No prying eyes. Just her and me.
He kept his arms around her waist and kissed her temple.

“Sounds just right to me.”

They signed into the retreat and were left alone to explore the property. The house was absolutely beautiful, the perfect romantic setting. The interior was gentle and impeccable. The furniture was made out of recycled timber but it was stylish and simple. Soft throws were draped over the couch, covered with large colourful Turkish cushions and in the middle of the floor-to-ceiling sliding door was a fireplace. There was an open gourmet kitchen and a barbeque, a dining fit for anyone. Outside on the huge undercover veranda was an oversized day-bed. The view was spectacular. There was a 270-degree of the beautiful forest and rolling pastures were a luscious green. There was an olive grove, more than one landscaped garden complete with water features, overlooking neighbouring orchards.

Harry breathed in the fresh air as he lazily collapsed on the day-bed, ruffling his hair, stretching out his long legs. It was fantastic to relax and be with nature, alongside a gorgeous young woman he could call his own. Bella rested her hands on the veranda railing and took in the landscape but Harry’s eyes were on her. Her hazel eyes glittered in the sunlight, the side-view profile of her face a thing of beauty. The plumpness of her cheeks, her cute nose, her pink lips, the curve of her jawline. And with the sandstone escarpment background, she looked like she had stepped out of a painting.

Her floral dress matched the landscape, brown suede ankle boots on her feet, her tanned legs bare. Harry had never wanted her more than he did right now. He longed to caress her skin, kiss her body and pleasure her.

“This place is even more stunning than it looks in the pictures.” Bella smiled as a gentle breeze whipped her hair around her shoulders.

You’re stunning.” Harry said.

“You can’t say things like that, Harry, when there’s this damn view!” She cried, gesturing to the greenery and the sandstone in the distance. Harry rose from the day-bed and walked over to Bella, hugging her from behind, his arms around her waist. He kissed the back of her head and rested his chin on her shoulder, marvelling at the way the sun’s light lit up the beautiful landscape.

“Thank you for bringing me here, Bella.”

“My pleasure, Harry.” She placed her hands over his and rolled her head back onto his shoulder. Harry laid his cheek on hers and closed his eyes, enjoying their closeness. He had never had a lot of privacy when it regarded girlfriends so to have a holiday with Bella was something he couldn’t wait to have with her. He knew the next two days were going to be amazing.

“I’m going to call my mum and tell her we’ve arrived.” Bella said and Harry let go of her.

“I’ll be waiting for you out here.” He said as she walked inside the house. Harry rested his forearms on the railing and took in the Australian landscape, a beautiful green from the winter rain. It was picturesque so Harry knew he would take many photos to show his friends and family.

Bella's POV

Have a fantastic time with Harry, sweetie.

“I will. I’ll tell you all about it when we get back.”

Don’t tell me all
about it, Bella.

It took her a moment to realise what her mother was referring to.

“Mum!”

Hey, I’m only saying I don’t want to hear about your sex life with Harry.

“I wasn’t going to tell you about that, anyway. You know what I mean.”

I know, sweetie, I’m just making a joke. Go and have fun.

“OK, I’ll see you on Saturday. Bye.”

Bye, Bella.

She got off the phone and put it back in her bag. The master bedroom was huge and the canopy bed looked very inviting, the curtains of the bed tucked behind the headboard, plush pillow placed at the top of the bed. Innocent white sheets that would soon be covered in crinkles because of the activity Bella and Harry would take part in more than once when they were there. It was different to being in a hotel bed or in her bed at home. With the floor-to-ceiling windows and tranquillity the area presented. We don’t have to worry about anything… Bella smiled, taking in everything around her before walking out of the bedroom, through the main sitting room and back outside onto the veranda.

She found Harry lying on the day-bed, his eyes closed, his hands folded over his navel. He looked so relaxed, so peaceful. His chest moved up and down each time he took a breath, his curly hair splayed out over the cushions. Bella stepped quietly up to him and leaned over him, her head hovering over his. His face was upside-down in her vision. He still didn’t open his eyes. Bella took the chance and leaned down to press a kiss to his soft lips.

Harry responded almost immediately, reaching his hand behind her head and tilting his head up to kiss her back. It wasn’t the sexiest upside-down kiss; nothing could beat Peter Parker and Mary-Jane, but in Bella’s eyes, it was wonderful. Here at the retreat, their kisses were a secret, their conversations were private. They had everything to themselves.

“Beautiful…” Harry whispered, looking up into her eyes, his fingers wrapped in her hair. Bella stroked his cheek and kissed him once more, earning a smile from him.

“What now?” He asked, sitting up and ruffling up his hair again.

“I read about what things couples can do here. The best thing is to just enjoy where we are. Maybe take a stroll through the olive grove or the rainforest?” Bella suggested.

“Let’s do both.” Harry said with a smile. He grabbed her hand as he rose to his feet. Leaving all technology behind, the couple wandered around the area that would be their home for the next two days.

The experience of being in Kangaroo Valley with Harry was very different to the time she had come with her mother and sister. It was so romantic. The sounds of nature were calming. The tweeting of birds, the rush of water, the rustling of leaves. Rays of sunlight streamed through the forest’s canopy, a golden shade flashing off the greenery. It was the music of the environment.

Bella had her hand encased in Harry’s as they crossed a slow-running stream. The rocks were a little slippery and Harry lost his footing, stumbling on his feet as he collapsed onto the rocks. Because their hands were linked, Bella was pulled down by Harry and the coolness of the stream splashed onto her forearms and legs. They both burst out laughing as they clung to each other like any other young couple would.

“You’re so clumsy!” Bella giggled, resting her head against his shoulder. His hands came up to touch her cheeks as she balanced herself high on her knees.

“But you love me.”

“I do.” She smiled as their lips came together, sealing into a kiss.

Dusk came upon the sky. Pastel orange and pale purple lining the clouds, so charming and beautiful over the sandstone ridges. They sat outside on the grass, Harry holding Bella from behind. She sat in between his legs, clutching his arms while she enjoyed the last remnants of daylight glow in an array of warm colours. She smiled when Harry began to sing You And I in her ear. His voice was incredibly comforting, like it was an angel’s voice. The song had always been one of her favourites from the band. From the first time she heard it, she loved it. The lyrics hit her hard in the heart because she related to them. The way Harry sung them brought tears to her eyes. It was her and Harry. And nothing could come between the two of them. No-one could separate them. They were in everything together. Bella sang with him, turning the song into a duet.

The last lyric faded out and she turned her head around, locking eyes with him. And before Bella knew it, they were kissing. One thing led to another and they ended up falling into the large bed, their clothes discarded on the floor, skin touching and legs entangling as they made love for the first time in a long time. The feeling of Harry’s hands on her naked body, his lips pressing kisses to intimate places, his arousal deep inside her. It felt amazing. Bella wasn’t quiet. She moaned and sighed and gasped, messing up his hair as she carded her hands through it. They used protection each time they had sex because an unplanned pregnancy was something they couldn’t fit into their lives.

The next evening, when Harry cooked dinner in the kitchen, Bella snuck in the time to give someone a call. A person she could trust to keep the conversation a secret between them. He’s the only one who’ll understand. She said in her head as she waited for the line to be picked up. Fortunately, it did.

Hello?
His Yorkshire accent unique to him.

“Louis, it’s Bella.”

Hey there, love. What’s up? Has Harry done something to upset you?

“No, no, he’s been as wonderful as ever! We’re having a great time together. He loves it here.”

We’re all happy for you, Bells. Sappy Harry is a new side to him I love to tease him over.

“Thanks, Tommo.” Bella smiled. From hearing all the boys calling Louis “Tommo”, she caught on and started calling him it too. He didn’t seem to mind so she didn’t stop.

There must be a reason you’re calling me.

“Yes, there is. I’m sorry if I interrupted anything.”

No, you didn’t. I’m always here to talk.

Bella took a deep breath before continuing.

“I know you’re going to become a father soon with Briana and I know you’re really happy and excited to have a baby…”

Bella, are you trying to tell me you’re pregnant?

“No! I’m not pregnant!” It’s far too early for that! But she worried there would be a time when, in the heat of the moment, Harry wouldn’t use protection. She was fearful if that happened and she would have a bun in the oven. A child born to parents who were so young was something Bella was afraid of. She definitely wanted to have kids in the future but she was only 19. She hadn’t lived life enough yet to settle down and have a family. Bella would love to have that with Harry but he was busy with his career. He loved what he did and Bella didn’t want to be the reason to take his dream away from him if she fell pregnant.

“I just…You’ve known Harry for far longer than I have. How would he react if I did fall pregnant? You’re happy but would he be? I mean, he’s so young but I think he’d make a great father. I just worry that there’ll be a time that we’ll forget to use protection and…it could happen…”

There was silence on the other end of the line. Louis hadn’t hung up. He was still there but Bella didn’t hear him. Unintentionally, she started to blurt out word vomit.

“I didn’t know who else to talk to. You’re the only one who understands… Would Harry discard me? Would he break up with me? I really value your opinion, Louis…And I’m sorry I’ve dumped this on you because I know you’ve got your own problems…”

Bella, love, calm down.

She bit her tongue and breathed in and out, her hand clamped over her forehead. Her own mother fell pregnant with her when she was 25 but Bella was about five years younger. A baby terrified her at this age. She wouldn’t know what to do. Me a mother at this age? My parents…I don’t know how they’d react… But it was Harry’s reaction that made her the most scared. The last thing she wanted was to have a baby growing inside her and its father leaving her because he wasn’t ready.

Harry is the youngest out of all of us. But sometimes, he is the most mature. He’s more than a friend to me. He’s like a brother. If you two were to have a child together, I think Harry would embrace it. He would be shocked, for sure. But there’s no way he’d break up with you. He loves you far too much to hurt you like that.

“You think so?”

I know
so. You should see the way he talks about you when you’re not around. He loves you more than anything. But if you were to fall pregnant, your situation is different to the one I have with Briana. We’re not dating. We’re just friends but her pregnancy has brought me closer to her. I’m going to be there for her and look after our child. You and Harry are together. And I’m sure a child would bring you both closer together, just the way it’s done for me and Briana.

Bella listened to each and every word. She was so thankful for Louis’ opinion. She loved him for putting up with her problems when he had his own. But that’s what friends did. They were there for each other, no matter what. Bella paced up and down the master bedroom, running her free hand over her face, pulling on her bottom lip. She sighed and looked up at the ceiling, trying to free her soul and let out the stress she bore. Louis’ voice brought her back again.

And if it’s any consolation, you and Harry would make great parents.

Bella smiled faintly. A picture of a baby entered her mind. She couldn’t tell if it was a boy or a girl but the child was beautiful. Bright green eyes and dimples with curly brown hair. A spitting image of Harry. A perfect baby.

“Thanks, Louis.”

Just don’t worry about it, Bells. Relax and enjoy your time with Harry. And the last piece of advice I’ll give you, if you do happen to fall pregnant, tell Harry first. Don’t tell anyone else. He should be the first one to know.

“I will. Thank you, Louis. You’re a great friend.”

I know I am.
He chuckled and Bella cracked a smile.

“Bella!”

It was Harry. She covered her phone with her hand and called back.

“Yeah?”

“Dinner’s ready!”

Bella told him she was coming and placed her phone back against her ear.

“I’ve got to go now, Louis. Give my love to Briana and I’ll talk to you soon.”

I’ll be sure to give her your love. Bye, Bells.

“See you.”

The line cut off and Bella felt so much better. It was good to get her thoughts out of her head and actually talk to someone. Her first thought had been her mother but on second thought, it didn’t seem like a good idea. Louis popped into her head when she remembered he was due to become a father. And he was close to Harry. There wasn’t anyone better to talk to about the subject currently on Bella’s mind.

“Everything alright, beautiful?”

She looked up and saw Harry standing in the doorway. His hair was pulled back in a bun and his eyes were a perfect shade of green, morphing into colours of blue and grey. Bella placed her phone on the bedside table and went over to Harry, wrapping her arm around his waist.

“Everything’s fantastic, baby. Let’s go eat.” She smiled and they walked out into the sitting room, delving into the scrumptious food. But the image of a green-eyed curly-haired child stayed in her mind.
