Forgive Me ~Louis Tomlinson Fanfiction~

The D

Chapter 9

Louis’ POV

It’s been a couple days since the whole episode with Sebastian went down. I’ve been playing it over and over again in my head. I wish i would've hit him. He deserved every ounce of hate i threw at him but i knew that if i did that it would of been too much. Heather would've been so mad at me. Well, more mad at me than she is right now. She barely talks so me or even comes out of her room.

Last night i made dinner and she refused to eat. She wouldn't even open the door. I tried apologizing but it doesn't seem good enough for her. I really don't know what to do at this point. Its to the point where I’m not even sure if she’s mad at me still or just mad at the fact that that happened.

I sat in my office, just a room away from hers, checking emails and making phone calls. Being a “celebrity” isn't just all fun and games, there's a lot that happens off the stage that most people don’t realize. A lot of people think that all we do is go to the studio, sing a little bit, go to signings and perform and then go home at the end of the day. Obviously that's not what happens. On our off time, yes we have our PR people who usually take care of band stuff and yes we have time to do whatever we want but this is still our everyday career so for our individual beings, we have to take care of some of our own bullshit.

“Alright, thank you miss, have a lovely day.” I half heartedly told the lady and hung up the phone, I leaned back in the chair and wrote an email to some company who would like to use me as their spokesperson. I kindly declined the offer and moved onto the next email. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. Next, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. C’mon just keep moving on, Tommo, I sung to myself.

“I’m going out for a bit.” Heather's voice scared the living shit out of me but made my heart flutter in a good way. My first instinct was to stand up, she just scrunched her eyebrows at me. I think that's the most she's said to me in the last couple days besides, “No, Louis, I’m not hungry” or “No, i’m fine, Just tired.” I was too concerned on her talking to me that i didn't even comprehend what she just said.

I cleared my throat, “What?” All i could do is just stare at her. Her hair was pulled into a loose pony, her face was clean of all make up, though she didn't need any, she was so beautiful without it. Her eyes looked like they were sunken in, like she hasn't slept in the last decade. It made her look so fragile. I just wanted to scoop her up and help her but i knew she didn't want that… The thought made my insides twist.

“I said I’m going out for a bit, just to get some fresh air.” She stood there with her arms crossed. She was so monotone. It’s not like she was being mean but she wasn’t being… okay either. I just stood there awkwardly, what did she want? My approval? Or maybe she wanted me to tell her no? So many things swirled around my head.

“Um…” I itched the back of my neck awkwardly, “where are you going?”

“Just walking around the village…” She hesitated and cut herself off. She just stared at me. There was so much tension, holy shit it was suffocating. I watched as she fiddled with the knitted jumper she was wearing, a nervous tendency with her.

“Do you want me to come? Its getting late and sometimes there aren't good people, you know. It’s the city and you're a girl and bad things happen. I mean, if you don't want me to go just say the words and your wish is my command but i thi-” She laughed and it was like the gods came from heaven and serenaded me with their most beautiful sound. I caught myself staring like deer in headlights.

“Louis, your rambling is cute.” She snorted, her arms fell to her sides and some of the tension dissipated from the room. I let out a small laugh. “I never thanked you, so thank you.”

“For what?” I asked, i moved closer to her but still kept my distance, not wanting to scare her away.

“For just everything, what you did the other day, letting me move in, being by my side through everything. I don't deserve it but for some reason you’re always there.” She shrugged. “I’m sorry for ignoring you the past couple days… I’ve just been trying to figure everything out. Just trying to get myself in a better mind set because i still feel like I’m not myself…” She trailed off.

Instantly my mind lit up, like a lightbulb turned on. I just looked at her with a huge smile. She started to laugh because all i did was stare at her without saying anything. “What is it? LOU? Fucking talk!” She laughed, she came up a punched my arm. Instead of responding i scooped her up and threw her over my shoulder. “Louis, PUT ME DOWN!” She banged her fists on my back but i didn't lose my grip, it just made me laugh harder how weak her punches were.

“Nope!” I popped the ‘p’ and continued down the stairs. She started to give up on trying to fight her way out so she just hung there limp.

“Fine then, where are we going?”

“Were going on a trip!” I exclaimed. I walked to the door grabbing both of our jackets and my keys.

“What?”

“You said you needed fresh air, well why don't we just go away for a while?” I opened the door but she stopped me.

“Wait, wait, wait, Lou don't you think we need some stuff?” She asked, her voice getting a little high pitched from my abrupt stop. I guess i didn't think about that. I knew that if we actually sat down and talked about it, she would back out in the end so the fast thinking was an instant reaction type of thing. “Are you going to let me down or do you love my ass in your face?” She tried to laugh but her breathing was short.

“Oh, shit, sorry.” I set her down, she was cute. Her whole face was beat red and her hair was a complete mes but she still managed to look so beautiful. “Ok, pack a bag… actually scratch that, pack a suitcase.” I already started walking upstairs before she got that chance to decline my offer. I heard her race up the stairs behind me.

“Where are we going?” she asked, her footsteps not far behind me, she skipped over her room and walked into mine, taking a seat on the bed. She watched me as i was getting my stuff together.

“I don't know. Pack for every weather. Were being spontaneous. Think about it! When’s the last time we went on an adventure by ourselves? What? School? Just after graduation? We’ve never been on an actual trip just by ourselves. You need the space and I need a breather. It's good for the both of us! We’re going to go to the airport and buy tickets for the next plane out to wherever we want! Yeah?” I asked her, she sat there and you can tell she was contemplating everything in her head because her eyebrows were squished together and she was chewing on her bottom lip. Don't even get me started with that....

“This is crazy.” She mumbled but her smile stretched from ear to ear. I knew instantly that she was saying yes. I dropped my shirt in my bag and ran over to scoop her up into a hug. “Louis, too tight, too tight.” She laughed. I let her go and kissed her on the cheek, she wiped it away, “Ugh, gross.”

I stuck my tongue out at her. “Go pack! Go, go, go! It’s five past six.” I pushed her out through the doorway. “Hurry!”

A good 20 minutes went by and we met each other in the kitchen with our bags in tow.

“Ready?” She asked, shoving her phone in her pocket and checking her pack of cigarettes.

“We’re going to have to have to stop at the store for a quick minute.” She rested one between her lips.

“Yeah, I’m ready. Let me call Lottie.” She nodded and walked through the kitchen, out the back sliding door to the garden and lit the cigarette up. She exhaled the smoke and paced around the patio. I loved the way she was so graceful in her movements. It’s like she just glides across the ground. Her hair was in messy waves, she softly tucked one side behind her ear. She wore one of my knitted jumpers with a pair of black jeans and combat boots. It fitted her so well. I loved the way she dressed, our styles were very similar, hence the reason why she always steal my shit. I don't mind though, she wears it well. I, again, for what seem like the millionth time in the last month, pulled myself away from staring at her. What’s going on with me? I pulled out my phone and dialed Lotties number.

“Hello?”

“Lots, hey, how ya doing?” I asked, it feels like i haven't heard her voice in a lifetime. It was comforting to hear her.

“Oh, nothing, just did a bit of runnin’ around. On my way back to my flat, right now. What are you doing?” She asked, I could hear the wind in the background. It was like how it was everyday in london, gloomy and windy. Surprisingly it wasn't raining.

“Well, it's kind of a funny story,” I gave a small laugh.

“Oh, Lou, what is it?” She said disappointingly.

“Oh, nothing bad! Me and Heather are going out of town for the week, I think. I was wondering if you could come by once in awhile to just check on the place. You can stay here if you want. I don't care, I was just wondering if you could house sit for a little bit.” I asked her, I walked over to the door and threw on a pair of adidas trainers.

“Oh, that sounds fun, where you guys going?”

“We aren't sure. That’s the funny part. We’re just going to the airport and figuring it out from there.” I laughed, she laughed too but at me not with me.

“You’re mad! But yeah, sure, i’ll watch the house for you. No problem. Do you care if Matt stays there too?” I heard the hesitation in her voice. She knew how i felt about Matt. Her shady “Model” of a boyfriend. I rolled my eyes but i gave in.

“Sure… No sex in my bed.” I ruled.

“Oh, bummer. I was planning to have an orgy. What a shame.” Sarcasm dripping off every syllable. The imagine that came into my head made me want to puke.

“Alright, well, thanks for watching the house, I’ll see you in a week or so. Love ya, Bye!” And I hung up with that. Heather made her way into kitchen and threw a scarf around her neck. She made me hot just looking at her. Not in the sexy way, but with everything she had on, it made me feel hot. All i wore was joggers and a tee.

“What’s with the face?” She leaned on the bar, and fiddled with her phone.

“My sister having an orgy here.” Her face was in pure shock and disgust. I laughed not realizing that that was so out of context. “No, no, no. I was thinking about it.” Fuck, mate, you're aren't helping yourself. I couldn't even describe the look that is on Heather's face. “Fuck, no, see i asked Lottie to watch the house and she wants to bring her boyfriend and i said no sex and then she said bummer she wanted to have an orgy… I didn't just randomly start imagining my little sister having an.. Orgy.” I rambled on, she just started cracking up.

“Okay, Louis. Are we going or what?” She walked over to her bag but i picked it up before she got the chance.

“Yes, let’s go!”

--------------------

“Where are we going?” Heather asked, giving my jumper a small tug like a little child.

“Just follow me. I know where i'm going.” My job is majority traveling. There's a lot of shit that you learn when you're always traveling. You get accustomed to things very fast. There has been numerous times when I’ve had to make last minute ticket purchases, yes they're expensive as hell but it’s not like it's not in my budget. I looked back at heather who had on one of my black hoodies with the hood up so it hid her face. My outfit matched her pretty much but i had on grey adidas joggers and shades. Probably not the best outfit to wear in an airport but i really didn't want to attract a large crowd. We needed tickets and a plane, pronto.

“Ok, also, what are we going to do about a hotel? Transportation? This isn't good for my anxiety.” It sounded like she said that last part to herself. I snorted but my footsteps didn't falter, I was looking for a security office. We made our way passed the baggage claim for the people who just got off their flight and saw a sign for security.

“Follow me.” I repeated and made a sharp left through the door. An overweight, short lady jumped out of her chair and dropped the apple she held in her hand. “I’m sorry ma’am. I just need some help real fast.” I took off my shades and her face went from pissed to anxious.

“Oh dear, i can try my best to do anything you need.” she pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose.

“I need flight tickets, I don't care where, what is you soonest departure?” I asked, I looked back at Heather who stood there analyzing the office, her fingers twirled with the sleeve of her sweater. I looked back to the woman who was now scurrying typing away on the computer, she intently nibbled on her tongue.

“We've got a flight to Turkey. Also a flight heading to Iceland in an hour and a half. There's a flight heading to Paris in half an hour, if you can make that? There's also a flight heading to Detroit in 2 hours.” I looked back to Heather.

“Do any of those sound good?” Her head snapped in my direction.

“Detroit sounds cool. You know they say if you don't like the weather there. Just wait five minutes. It'll change.” She let out a little snort of a laugh.

I looked back to the lady who was patiently waiting for our response. “Two tickets to Detroit.”

---------------

“Heather, your snoring and drooling on me, sick ass.” I gave my shoulder a little shake to wake her up.

“No, I swear it not what it looks like.” Heather's head popped up, her cheek covered in layer of slime and her eyes foggy.

“What kind of cheeky dream were you having?” Her cheeks blushed slightly and she reverted her attention to the window.

“Are we here?” She avoided my question, making my mind drift into a dirty place. Was she dreaming about me? Cmon louis, in your dreams. I mentally sighed.

“They said were fifteen minutes out.” She stretched out and placed her head back on my shoulder.

---------------

“Were staying at a casino?” Heather exclaimed with a huge smile on her face. She looked like a kid in a candy store the way she had her face pressed against the window of the taxi. The city was lit up by street lights and the colorful lights of the greektown building. I might of pulled some strings while she was waiting for our luggage and got us a presidential suite. I knew she’d love it. I just smiled at her and her goofiness.

“Dont spend all your money Beauty.” The taxi driver laughed.

We pulled up into the grand entrance and heather got out, taking in everything. A smile never left her face. I got our bags, tipped the driver exceptionally, he tipped his hat in gratefulness. As soon as we walked through the entrance we were engulfed in a whole different world. There were lights and booze and so many people. Heather didn't say a word, her eyes were flickering all over the place.

“I heard that if you stay at a casino, when you walk in you have to put twenty pound on a table and play the number 37. If you hit, your whole trip will be lucky.” Heather finally broke her silence and looked at me with big eyes.

“Well then let's not break that tradition.” I nodded and we headed over to the Roulette table.

“In.” Heather demanded and the dealer nodded. It's like she put on a headstrong persona. It was quite sexy.

“Fifteen dollar minimum” The dealer said, she put on a fake smile, her eyes had bags under them like she's been working all night.

Heather fished a twenty note out of her pocket and exchanged for chips. She placed her whole bet on the number 37. The dealer called final call, then she spun the ball around the number wheel. I stood behind Heather and watched the ball spin, spin, spin. It slowly began to slow and came to a complete stop on… 37!

“AHHH!” Heather screamed, earning smug looks from the older gentleman at the end of the table. She threw her arms around my neck, causing me to drop our bags but i willingly hugged her back, lifting her off her feet for a second. She pushed off of me and straightened her shirt out, poising herself again. “I’d like to cash out.” She turned to the dealer.

“I can't believe that just happened.” Heather paced in the elevator. She ran her hands through her hair and she couldn't stop smiling. “This literally can't get any better, Lou! I mean this is just crazy! Were in America and were in this nice hotel and I’m with the most amazing person in the world!” She leaned against the elevator wall. She looked amazing as always and it made it even better that she was glowing with happiness.

“Oh you mean the taxi driver? He was pretty amazing. Great sense of humor.” I joked, she punched my arm. “Oiy! No need to get violent!’ She laughed at me.

We made it to the room and it was as amazing as the woman on the phone described. It was huge and open and you could see outside an almost full 360 it felt. I was amazing. Just brilliant. This time she was speechless.

She walked up to the window and pressed her hand against it. “Louis.” She whispered. “This is honestly…”

“Amazing.” I finished her sentence. She looked back at me with her big beautiful blue eyes and nodded. She came to me and wrapped her arms around me, her head resting on my chest. It felt perfect. Like i never wanted to leave this very moment. It scared me how much i cared for her, there was a line i couldn't cross and in my mind i wanted to shred that line. I wanted her all to myself. All her smiles, all her laughter, all her kisses. Oh how bad i wanted to kiss her right now. But i can't. I couldn't. It would ruin us.

Right?
