An Unexpected Turn

I lay awake in my bed, wondering what the fuck I was doing with these boys. Niall was asleep next to me, lightly snoring, with his arm around me. I can't be with both, I love them and I can't hurt them.

I look over at Niall, sound asleep, his hair messed up, stubble on his face. I wanted him. Then Harry comes to my mind, his pink lips, the mesmerizing green eyes, his brown curly hair. I wanted him, too.

I let out a loud sigh and Niall begins to wake up. He does a big stretch and looks over at me. A smile on his face as he gets closer to me and gives me a kiss.

"I'm glad I wasn't dreaming." he says brushing the hair out of my face.
"Niall... This wasn't a good idea. You should leave." his eyebrows furrow at my words.
He gets out of bed and rapidly gets dressed without saying a word. Before he leaves out the door, he looks back and tells me "We're not done."

After Niall left I jumped in the shower to get rid of all evidence from my body. I couldn't see Harry with Niall's kisses and touches still on me. When I got out of the shower, I had a text from Harry.

Harry: Hey, love. I'm heading back to my flat. I called the lobby and they told me Niall never showed.
Melanie: That's great to hear, he's probably calmed down.
Harry: Will you come over tonight?
Melanie: I will, love.
Harry: I love you x.

It was my last day in LA before going back to Portland. I wanted to spend it with Harry but all I could think about was Niall. My head was a mess and playing over and over different scenarios in my head. I couldn't leave Harry now that I had him, but I wanted Niall too.

I arrived at Harry's apartment around 5. I knock on his door and to my surprise, Niall answers.

"Hey, Mel! Come on in!" he greets me with a smirk. I'm pretty sure my face was priceless. I walk past him to see Harry in the kitchen pouring chips into a bowl on the island. He looks up and gives me a huge smile before coming up to me and planting a kiss on my cheek.
"I'm just getting some chips out to snack on, be right back." he says before heading back to the kitchen.
At this point so many thoughts were racing through my mind. Had Niall told him what we did? No he couldn't have otherwise he wouldn't be happy to see me. I sit on on the couch while Niall sits in a big black recliner not saying a word. He was acting like nothing ever happened! Harry shortly joins us with chips and dip and sits next to me, putting his arm around my shoulders.
"You're probably wondering why Niall is here." he starts, "Well, Nialler here came to talk to me..."

Oh shit. He told.

"... And he says he's ok with us being together. He respects your decision and has decided to move on."

What?!

"That's right, Mel. I'm a changed man." Niall then winks at me and I look at Harry to see if he saw.
"That's great, Niall." is all I say. What the hell else was I supposed to say?!
"So, to make peace, he's staying to watch a movie with us." Harry states as he browses Netflix. Niall winks at me again.

What is he doing? Has he gone mad?!

I felt rather awkward sitting there while we watched the movie. I also felt terrible for lying to Harry. We just got together and I already shagged Niall.

Sigh.

After the movie, Niall gets up and says, "Well, mates, I have to leave. It's getting late and I have to catch my flight early tomorrow"
"Ok, mate, I'll be seeing you around. Don't play too much golf." Harry says playfully then gets up to give him a hug. I follow and also get up to say goodbye.
"I'll see you later, Mel." he then gives me a friendly hug before heading out the door.

What the fuck was happening?

Not even 5 minutes after Niall walked out the door I get a text.

Niall: Don't forget you're mine, darling.
Melanie: Niall, are you crazy?!
Niall: I'm crazy for you. I'm willing to wait. I'll be here when you get bored of Harry.

I refused to reply to that. Why would I get bored of Harry?

Notes

I'm sad to say, but only 8 more chapters to go after this. (We'll have a time jump eventually) I am finished writing the story but I think I'm happy with the ending. I will begin posting at least once a day (sometimes twice) until it's finished. I'm going on vacation next week and wanted to finish it otherwise I'd go mad thinking about what's going to happen next. :D
