Ocean Eyes

It's 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon in June. School's out and it's about 80 degrees outside, but am I outside?

Nah.

I'm inside, sitting on the floor next to my best friend: Conor
We're both reading magazines, but he also brought some that he would enjoy, instead of reading my 5 inch, thick stack of Seventeen.

"How can you read that?"
I say starting to laugh as I glance at his Playboy magazine and he throws it at me.
I let out a slight scream and he laughs; showing his teeth.

"How can you read that?"
He mocks, pointing at my magazine and I throw his back to him.

"Seventeen could save your choice of clothing"
I say and look at his clothes.
Conor just laughed again and pushed me playfully. As a result, I push him back and he lets out a loud, girly scream.

"Conor, stop it!"
He says in a squeaky, high pitched voice and moans slightly.
I loose control of my laughter and push him over, onto the floor.

"Good thing my mom isn't home"
I joke, sitting up with my back against the end of the bed. My hand comes up and I brush the tips of my hair with my fingers. He sits up and slides over to a spot next to me.

"We should go outside.."
He says, looking into my eyes as I turn to him and try not to laugh.
I bite my lip from the inside, forcing myself not to smile.
But like always, he makes a weird face and sticks his tongue out, while looking at his nose. And like always, I burst out laughing again.

"Your weird"
He says

"Your weirder"
I say to him and he shakes his head, looking at the ground with a small grin.
After a couple seconds of complete silence, besides the sound of the birds singing outside my window, He changes the subject.

"Where's your computer?"
As he looks around the room. I point to my desk on the opposite side of the room and he gets up to bring it over.

He grabbed it and walked back over to me and as he sat down slowly, I could smell his cologne. It smelled like axe and mixture of roses, it makes me want to close my eyes and let my stomach flutter. But I keep my eyes open and watch him log into Safari.

"What are you doing?"
I ask and come closer to look at the screen.

"You'll see."
He says as he types in the search bar

"Are you serious?!"
I loudly say and he smiles again with a evil laugh. He clicked the enter key and the page comes up for online video chatting.

"Oh yeah"
He says and I cover my face with my hands.
I can feel my hands getting sweaty and my stomach feels like I'm going to throw up.
I have social anxiety...

"Come on, we c-"
I begin, but he interrupts me

" 2 people."
He says and looks at me.
He winks and then he clicked the 'chat now' button.
There are 2 screens on the left and on the right, there was a huge typing space. The 2 screens are lined up and in the first one, I could see Conor and I. In the next one, I could see a girl.

I gasp and look away. In the corner of my eye, I saw Conor's mouth open in astonishment and he couldn't even look away. His playboy experience has come true...
Without trying to look, I quickly press the 'disconnect' button and she's gone.
Relief flys over me.

"Why did you do that!?"
Conor yells and his hands come up.

"1 more person."
I say and bring my pointer finger up.

"If you weren't my best friend, I would.."
He didn't continue saying what he was going to, but I ask why, he glances at my lips then looks away and shakes his head.

"Nevermind"
He presses the button again and the screen popped up for the last time.
There was a boy and he looked foreign. He smiled with his teeth showing and I could tell he was smiling at me. He looked so gorgeous. Suddenly, Conor presses the button and the boy disappears.

"No!"
I yell and my mouth opens wide like I'm going to scream, I slap Conor's arm and he laughs

"That's payback"
He says and points his finger at me and I pretend to bite it. He flinched and took his finger away.
