What A Feeling

Niall rakes his fingers through her hair, pushing it back from her face. Leaving his hand there, he places his other hand on her hip. Moving in very slowly, he gives her every opportunity to back away if this isn’t what she wants.
By the time his lips touch hers, he feels her body relax. She puts a hand on his chest. He pauses the kiss briefly, afraid she is gonna push him away. Instead her hand rests gently on his chest.
Niall resumes the kiss, taking her top lip between his. Gently placing a light kiss at the corner of her mouth, before taking her bottom lip between his next.
He feels her response, and it fuels him. As much as he doesn’t want to, he steps back; knowing he must move slowly with her.
She’s looking at him with a bit of confusion. He kisses her on the forehead. “Goodnight, B.”
Forcing himself to turn and walk inside, leaning against the closed door.
“That girl will be the death of me.”
Willie laughs. “That good, huh?”
Niall shakes his head, smiling. “She says she doesn’t want to date anyone right now.”
“You aren’t taking no for an answer though?”
“I can’t shake this feeling that we belong together.”
“So you’re gonna make it your job to convince her of that?”
Niall grins. “Well I do have a bit of time on my hands right now.”
“Are you sure you aren’t just setting yourself up for disappointment?”
Niall smirks. “Not after the way she just kissed me back, out there.”
