What A Feeling

Becca runs into Kara in the lobby. “Ride with me to the stadium, so we can talk.”
“From that grin on your face, I’d say things went well with Niall.”
Becca grins. “Yes. I mean we definitely need to talk some more, but it seems that we are back together.” Becca looks at Kara’s phone. “Who are you texting?”
“I’m just letting Adam know where I’m at.”
Becca smirks. “Hot Adam?”
Kara laughs. “That’s the one.”
“Is there something going on with you two?”
Kara blushes. “I think so.”
“Wait, are you blushing? I’ve never seen you blush ever. You must really like him.”
“We can talk about me and extremely hot Adam later.” Kara says.
Becca laughs.
“Becca, can you forgive Niall that easily?”
“I had drinks with Steve last night, he helped me understand a guy’s perspective. Actually, I’d forgiven Niall before he’d even arrived here.”
“If I was you, I’d make him work for it a little more. Get some jewelry out of him, maybe a car.”
“Kara, you know I don’t want any of that stuff from him.”
“What about a house?” Kara smirks.
“What do you mean?”
“I’m not supposed to tell you, but the whole flight here, Niall was looking for a house to buy here. He’s already talked to a realtor.”
Becca is shocked. “We haven’t even had a chance to talk about that yet. I figured we’d make it work, long distance, whatever.”
“I don’t think he wants to be away from you, Sweetie.”

Niall sits down at the hotel bar. “Can I get a pint please?”
“Oh hey, you’re Irish. Do you live here?”
Niall looks at the man sitting beside him. “No, I live in London.”
“Your name isn’t by chance Niall, is it?”
“Um, yeah.”
“Nice to meet you, Niall. I’m Steve. I work with Becca.”
“Ah yeah, you’re the guy from the picture.”
“Picture?”
“Never mind. So you know that Becca is taken, then.”
Steve grins. “Full disclosure, Niall. Yes, I was interested in Becca, then she told me your story. It was obvious she really loves you, man. No competition from me, I swear.”
Niall smiles. “She told you what a fool I was?”
“I’ve been that exact same kind of fool myself. Actually, I helped her to understand where you were coming from.”
“Really? Thanks, mate.”
“No problem.”
“Hey, Steve. You have any connections over at the stadium?”
“Yeah, of course. What do you need?”
Niall grins. “I have a bit of a plan that I’m hoping you can help me with.”
