What A Feeling

Niall pulls up in front of Croke Park.
“I’ve arranged for a private tour of the stadium and the G.A.A. Museum for us.”
Becca smiles. “You, Niall Horan, know the way to this girl’s heart.”
He laughs. “Maybe that’s because it’s so similar to my own.”
“You know, if you keep saying all these incredible things to me, you’re going to tear down the wall around my heart.”
He smiles. “That’s the plan. You don’t need a wall anyway, I’ll happily protect your heart for you.”
She takes in a large breath. “You won’t break it?”
Looking into her eyes, with absolute honesty. “Never.”
She doesn’t reply, but he can see in her eyes, she believes him.

As they tour the museum and then the stadium, Niall can see how interested she is. She’s asking the guide many questions, squeezing Niall’s hand frequently, letting him know how excited she is.
After the tour, they sit in the stadium, as Becca pulls a notebook from her purse. “Do you mind if I make some notes? I’d love to write an article on this.”
He grins. “No, go ahead. I love to watch you work.”
She smirks. “If I wasn’t so focused on this right now, I’m sure I could think of something “Naughty Becca” would comment on that.”
He laughs loudly.

They arrive in Mullingar a little before dinner time.
Niall’s dad, Bobby, answers the door with a big, kind smile. He hugs Niall, then welcomes Becca. “It’s nice to meet you, Becca. I’ve heard a lot about you.” He grins.
Then they hear the cutest little Irish accent. “Uncle!”
“Theo!” Niall picks him up. “How ya doing, Buddy?”
Niall turns to Becca. “Theo, this is my friend, Becca.”
Theo grins. “Hi Becca, you’re pretty.”
“Aww, thank you, Theo. You are a charmer, just like your Uncle Niall.”

Niall sits on the floor playing with Theo, while Becca and Bobby get to know each other.
Before dinner, Theo asks Becca to play with him outside.
Niall watches them through the window. His heart squeezing at the thought of him and B having children someday.
Bobby comes up beside him, putting a hand on his shoulder. “Now that I’ve met her, I can see why you’re so crazy about her.”
Niall smiles. “She’s amazing, isn’t she?”
“Honestly, son, I’m not sure you’ll ever find a woman more perfect for you, than her.”
“Is it crazy that I’m already so in love with her?”
Bobby grins. “No, there’s no timetable for love. Have ya told her?”
“No. I’ve hinted at it.”
“Maybe you should tell her.”
“I’ve been holding back, not wanting to scare her off. But these last couple days, I can see she’s letting her guard down.”
“Well, I really like her, and so does Theo apparently. Not to rush things, but I think she’d be a nice addition to the Horan family.” Bobby says with a smile as he walks to the kitchen.
Niall grins, still watching her through the window. “Me too, Dad.” He adds quietly.
