Chapter 91

"Harry." Enola whined over the phone. I rubbed my face feeling irritated with her.
"Noli, I have to go, baby. I can't talk right now." I huffed at her. I was due on stage in a matter of minutes. I had to get to the boys for a last warm up.
"But Harry, I have to talk to you." She yelled at me.
"Is something wrong with Darcy?" I asked with a grumpy tone.
"No." She snapped.
"Are you hurt?" I grunted with attitude.
"No." She replied softly.
"Then it can wait until later. I have to go on stage. Whatever it is it can wait." I snapped before hanging up on her. I felt bad for hanging up on her the way I did.
"Harry." Louis spoke gently.
"WHAT?" I yelled, not wanting to be bothered for two seconds.
"You know what, never mind. You deserve the silent treatment from E." Louis puffed at me. I frowned and realized that was exactly what I was going to get if I didn't try to call her back in that instant. I lifted my phone and dialed Enola. I tapped my foot as I waited for her to answer.
"Hello?" She answered, her voice broken from crying.
"I'm sorry, baby." I muttered turning my back to the boys.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bother you." Enola murmured.
"No. No. You're not bothering me." I sighed. "I'm stressed out and I shouldn't have taken it out on you." I leaned against the wall and closed my eyes to keep from being upset by the sounds of her crying.
"I'm sorry. I just...I need you and you're not here." Enola cried a little harder.
"I'm sorry, baby, I am. What do you need?" I asked her with genuine worry.
Enola inhaled a shaky breath, "How long before you have to be on stage?" I looked down at my watch sadly.
"Two and a half minutes." I replied. Enola made a small hiccuping sound. "Can we talk about it when you get here in a couple of days? Can wait that long?" I asked trying to make her feel better. "I wish that I could say I would have enough time tomorrow but we have four tv interviews, two radio shows, sound check and a show. I'll have two minutes to tell you guys goodnight." I informed her with a soft voice.
"I hate this." Enola cried.
"I know, Noli. I know. I'm sorry, baby. Only a few more months then I'm home for a whole year." I said trying to comfort her.
"HARRY! TIME TO GO!" Dale shouted at me. I looked back to see that all of the boys had left already.
"Baby, I gotta go. I'll call you and Darcy tomorrow night before bed. And I'll see you in a couple days. I promise everything will be okay." I assured her even though I had no idea what was going on.
"I love you." Enola wept.
"I love you too, babe. I promise we'll talk when you get here." I assured her once again.
"Bye Bear." She sniffled.
"Bye Noli." I hung up as I heard her burst into hysterical sobs. I groaned and shoved my phone into my back pocket. I hated this part of touring. My heart was gripped with fear hearing her say that she needed me while crying so hard. I ran my hand through my hair and tried control my emotions.
"Come on, son." Dale said placing his hands on my shoulders. I nodded and turned to face him. "Everything okay?" He inquired as we walked out of the room.
I shrugged, "I honestly couldn't tell you. She's really upset."
"Do you know why?" Dale sounded concerned now.
"No. I never have time to talk to her. I have enough time to tell my daughter that I love her and goodnight. That's it." I spoke with anger.
"The rest of us get it, Harry. It sucks." Liam sighed.
"Not as much for you. Or you." I grunted point to Liam and Niall. "Sophia and Brynn have been with us most of this tour. They don't have to stay home. Freddie does. Noli and Darcy do." I knew that Louis understood what I was feeling. Liam and Niall frowned deeply. "I miss my kid. I miss my wife. I just want to go home." I grumbled.
"Yeah. We know, Harry." Louis smiled a bit, trying to ease my anger. "We have a year off to make an album and what not. Soon, you'll be begging to go on the road again." Louis chuckled.
"I think maybe next tour, during the summer, I'm asking for another bus. So they can come with me."
"That's actually a really good idea, Harry. You not being on the main bus means I can have Freddie with me too." Louis smiled.
