Chapter 111

"Darcy! Come on sweetie!" Perrie laughed as she chased my daughter around the small room we were getting ready in. I chuckled when Darcy made the same yelling sound her father would make while running from Dale.
"What are you laughing at?" Lou asked as she pulled my hair back slowly.
"I was just watching Darcy and thinking about how much like her father she really is. That sound she made, Harry does that too." I responded softly.
Lou laughed, "When he runs away from Dale."
I nodded, giggling again, "Yes. Twenty five years old and a father of two, still acts like a ten year old."
"But that's like, why you love him though, right?" Perrie inquired putting Darcy in her little purple dress.
"I love him for many reasons." I replied quietly, touching the edge of the vanity softly.
"I can't tell you how excited I am for today. Like I am bursting at the seams." Sophia grinned.
"Are you sure that's not because you're pregnant?" Brynn teased. Sophia glared at her. "Sorry." Brynn grumbled. "I'm excited too. I've never met two people more made for each other than you and Harry." Brynn grinned at me through the mirror. I could only smile back her.
"Is there something on your mind, honey?" Lou asked as she twisted a section of my hair up. I smiled at her sweetly. "Are you nervous? You shouldn't be. You should be over the moon with happiness." Lou stated with a huge smile.
"I think it's okay if she's nervous. She's getting married. Not much will change for her and Harry but maybe a few things will." Brynn stated with a shrug. Lou and Sophia glared at her.
"That's not helping, Brynn." Sophia murmured with a scolding tone. I shook my head and closed my eyes, trying to calm the nerves that had been in control of my body since Harry and I were woken up by the boys at four in the morning. I inhaled deeply and tried to think of what it would like to see Harry standing at the end of the isle, waiting for me.
"What do you and Harry plan on doing once the wedding is over, since you guys aren't having a party until next week?" Perrie inquired as she sat down with Darcy to put her shoes on her.
"Tonight Nick and I are taking the kids so they can..." Gemma looked over at Darcy for a moment. "Do that married people thing." Gemma stated with a tone.
I smiled, "Honestly, I think we're just going to go to sleep. Atlas didn't sleep well last night. The boys woke us up way to early. Plus with the stress of the last minute wedding stuff and him being gone for the last two weeks..." I sighed, "I can guarantee that as soon as we get into bed, we'll both be dead asleep."
"Well that's no fun at all." Brynn pouted. "Looks like I'm not the only one though." Brynn huffed.
"What?" Gemma laughed.
"I love you and Harry and Atlas. I mean he's my god son, but shame on you two for having him and giving me that stupid baby fever." Brynn scolded me. I turned to her with a shocked but amused face. "Niall won't even sleep in the same bed with me right now." Brynn whined. "He doesn't want kids right now but I do. And he's being...a crazy ol' biddie here and I am dying. It's been what two, three weeks since Atlas was born? I'm still not getting any."
"And I thought you and Harry were the ones who were bad with the sex." Lou chuckled.
I shrugged, "It's an Irish thing." Brynn nodded quickly in agreement. "Tell him to get over it. And give you some lovin'." I laughed loudly, "Or tell on him to Harry. Harry will set him straight."
"Liam told me that he got an earful from Harry this morning about being a dad." Sophia giggled. I couldn't help but laugh some more. "Told Liam that he better step up and be helpful and caring toward me because I am the one that's carrying his child. You really got all of the luck with Harry." Sophia smiled as she tried to pull Darcy's hair into a ponytail.
"I think Harry caught himself a perfect one with E." Perrie winked at me.
"Yeah, with all of the trouble I've caused him over the years." I grumbled under my breath.
Gemma frowned, "He loves you the way you are and the way you guys have grown up so much and are still so in love with each other. He loves the children you've made and the life you've made. He tells me all the time how he can't believe he got you to fall into his arms again. He's so excited for this today. For you to be his wife. You know that."
I smiled brightly, "I do know that, Gem. I do. And I love him for loving me in spite of all of my faults. I know he also tells people that I should hate him for dumping me even though he had no idea that I was pregnant. We both made mistakes and we both learned from them and this is where we're at. I couldn't be happier. I really couldn't."
"Don't you ever forget it." Lou poked me gently with the make up brush in her hand. "Now. Don't move. I have to start with your eyes." She instructed firmly. I gave a single nod and closed my eyes.
"Do you and Harry have any plans for a honeymoon? I know that you're holding off on the reception which I really don't get. You shouldn't if Nick and I are going to take the kids tonight anyway." Gemma inquired.
"Nah. It's too hard with Atlas being so small. Maybe when we both feel like we can be away from him for a little longer. I know that he really just wants to be at home the four of us for a while. Especially with Darcy just starting school and all. He wants us to be there until she gets into a routine and stops hating school and being away from us." I explained. I then opened one eye to look at Gemma, "We're holding off on the party because neither of us have really slept in a while. Too much excitement in one day is just not what we need. And whose to say that I'm not lying about go straight to sleep. Wedding should be over at what five, six?" The girls all let their jaws drop. "When have we ever let you guys really know what happens behind closed doors?" I smirked and closed my eyes again.
"Skank." Perrie teased.
"Proud of it. I love that man with every single inch of me." I giggled again, "Literally."
"I disgusted. That's my brother." Gemma groaned.
"Sorry. Our babies were immaculate conception. He's never touched me. I'm lying to you." I laughed softly. Gemma laughed as well, telling me to shut up.
"Am I allowed to ask a question?" Brynn inquired with a nervous tone.
"Depends on the question, Brynn." Sophia sounded annoyed with her.
"Um, did you...does this feel the same as the first time you got married or do you feel differently now?" Brynn asked shyly. I heard Perrie, Sophia and Lou all grunt. "I've never known anyone who has been divorced so young."
"Well, I didn't really love him so...this is not the same as the first time." I smiled at Brynn with bright eyes after Lou told me she was done. Brynn exhaled in relief as she smiled back at me.
"The first wedding you swore up and down you did." I heard my mother chuckle behind me. I felt my insides collapsing.
"I have to put my dress on." I announced sourly. I didn't want my mother to ruin things.
"Oh honey, I didn't mean to make you upset. I wasn't even finished yet." My mother smiled warmly at me. "You swore to me that you did, but I could see in it your eyes, hear it in your voice that you were lying to me. But now...I see this light in your eyes and this glow in your skin. I know you mean it today." My mother stated. Everyone in the room let out a breath of relief. "Can I have some time with my baby before she has to go out there?" My mother asked all the girls.
"Yeah. I should actually go make sure the boys haven't ruined their hair already." Lou announced. She kissed my cheek and squeezed my hand tightly.
"I should make sure my mum is doing okay with Atlas. See if she needs a break." Gemma kissed me as well and gave me a reassuring hug.
"We could take the kids out to play for a bit. They're going to be sitting for a long time. They need to let off a little energy." Sophia volunteered herself, Perrie and Brynn.
"Darcy, come here, babygirl." I motioned my daughter over. She bounced over happily. I took her hands in mine, "You need to listen to your Aunties and try your hardest to stay clean. If not, Daddy will be having another talk with you about listening like a big girl, do you understand me?" She stared at me with a bit of fear and nodded. "'Cause we don't want to have another talk with Daddy about listening, do we?" I asked. She shook her head. I kissed her little face lightly. "Okay. Go play with Freddie and Lux." I gently pushed her at Sophia. Darcy ran to Sophia and took her hand with an excited smile.
"Can I kiss your tummy, Auntie Soph?" Darcy asked as they walked out of the room. Sophia laughed and told her to wait a moment.
"She is just so precious." My mother smiled at me as the door closed behind Sophia and Darcy. I nodded and went toward my bags. "Can I help you with your dress, baby?" My mother grinned, tears in her eyes. I nodded with a smile, seeing that she had good intentions for once. My mother reached for the dress as I tried to get myself out of the sweats I'd been wearing the whole day. "I can't wait to see how beautiful you look." My mother beamed.

Notes

I know this chapter is short and I apologize but as I type this author's note, I cannot stop my tears. I know that probably puts horrible thoughts in your head. I am crying because I know just how close to the end we are, and frankly, I am just so not ready to let go. This chapter wasn't in the original draft of this story. I am trying to drag it out just a bit more for my sanity. There will be another chapter tomorrow and either Saturday or Sunday, depending on the comments after tomorrow's chapter. I adore every last one of you so very much.
