EMILYS POV:
After a while I was ready and wearing this. (http://www.polyvore.com/casual/set?id=87803105 ) my hair was in a pony tail and I had a cute bow in it. I picked up my phone and I dialed Chad. After the third ring he picked up “hey gorgeous” he said threw the phone and I could tell there was a smirk on his face. “Hey, what time do you want to go?’ I asked with a smile on my face. “actually, im ready right now, Are you?” he asked. I nodded and then realized he couldn’t see me.
“yea” I said wanting to see him already. He then replied and said “alright, ill be over soon. What’s your address?” I then gave my address to him and we hung up, saying our goodbyes. After about 10 minutes I heard a knock on my door. I jumped up and grabbed my phone, wallet, and threw a few bracelets on my arm. I walked over to the door and opened it revealing a very cute Chad. I was starring at his beautiful eyes that can get you lost in for days.
“Hey” he said with the most charming smile on his face. “h-hey” I said stuttering feeling like a complete idiot. “shall we go?” he asked awkwardly. I nodded and walked out of my house shutting the door behind me. While we were walking to his car he then said “you look really nice” with his head down. I smiled and said “thanks, you don’t look bad yourself” his head popped up looking at me and he said “I know” we starting laughing and then got in the car.
He didn’t bother opening the door for me but I just let that slide. When we were in the car it was quiet. Not even the radio was playing. “so, where are we going?” I said breaking the silence. “I actually had a few plans for today. I was thinking we could go to get some breakfast, then go to the movies, and then take a walk at the park” he said smiling as if he was proud of his plans. I sat there trying not to laugh at him and said “that sounds great” he turned his head and smiled at me.
After a little drive we made it to Denny’s. I loved coming here because when my mom was still around we would always come here. We got out of the car and walked into the building. He once again didn’t try to open my door but I shrugged it off once again. When we got in, we almost immediately got a table. Once we sat down a lady was with us and she said “can I start you guys off with a drink?” With kindness in her voice.
Chad looked at me causing the waitress to as well, and I said “ill have a coke please” she nodded her head then looked at Chad. “Ill have the same” he said not looking at her. She kindly said “okay, ill be back” and then walked away. Chad then said “so Emily, tell me about yourself” I smiled and said “well, what would you like to know?” his eyes never leaving mine and he said “everything. Family, friends, career” I laughed and said “okay, well I-“ I stopped and thought
What should I say? I don’t really have family anymore. It was just me and my dad who moved to England so none of my family lives here now. “umm… my mom passed along with my dad” I said trying not to make eye contact any longer. He then grabbed my hands in his and said “Im so sorry I asked, Emily” I looked at him and said “its no big deal” he smiled and started to rub my hands with his thumbs.
He looked over and he let go of my hands. I looked to where he looked and It was the waitress coming back with our drinks. When she got to our table he once again tried not to look at her. She placed our drinks on the table and I said “thank you” she smiled and I saw as she looked at Chad with a bit of hurt on her face. She then asked “are you guys ready to order?” I looked at chad and he nodded. “yea” I said smiling at her.
After we had ordered she left and I then said “okay spill it. I can see how your trying to avoid our waitress” he smiled and said “is it that obvious?” I nodded laughing and said “yea! So whats up?” he sighed and said “that’s actually my ex-girlfriend” he became quiet and I nodded and then said “continue” he laughed slightly and said “well the last time we spoke I caught her in bed with my best friend. She tried to apologized about 20 times but I kinda just forgot about her”
“Oh dang” I said surprised with his answer. He nodded and said “yea” I then shot back to reality and said “sorry, about that” a grin grew on his face and said “don’t sweat it. but lets go back to about you. What about your friends and career?” he said taking my hands back in his. I blushed at this because he was so flipping beautiful. His eyes so deep into mine making me feel like he was actually interested.
“well, I have a few people I talk to. Do you know Liam, Ashley, Megan, Louis, Niall, and Zayn? I asked him and he just nodded his head. “They are the people I call my friends” I said trying not to lean over the table and make out with him. He smiled and said “I use to be really close to zayn, but then he met all the other people and slowly drifted away from me” I frowned because that was something you don’t hear everyday.
“You’re just full of bad luck” I said giggling. He laughed and said “your saying Im unlucky when Im sitting here with the prettiest girl alive?” I swear my face was redder than a rose. I think he noticed because he then said “your so cute when you blush” damn he was not helping.
