Samantha's POV:

"Austin?" I asked, shocked at why my ex was here.

"Louis?" he choked, not looking at me. How did he know Louis?

"Samantha?" Louis rounded on me, almost angry. "How do you know Austin?"

"How do you know Austin?" I managed to say. My voice sounded strangled.

"How do you know Louis?" Austin snapped at me. He must be blind or something, because those days I dated Louis, I was basically on every magazine.

"How do you know Samantha?" Louis shot at him, raising his eyebrows. Everyone was asking so many questions that it was so confusing! But Austin, the way his eyes burned through me was frightening. I never wanted to ever see him. Ever again. But know here he was. It reminded me how life doesn't always give you everything you want.

"I'll be back," Austin snarled, not just at me but to Louis too. He glared at us one more time, and then disappeared through the door.

"Samantha?" Louis only asked me. He was so shocked that he didn't even catch me as I crumpled to the floor. "How do you know him? You shouldn't. He's dangerous!" His voice had risen to a shout, and for a minute, he looked like Austin. His hand was raised like he was about to slap me, and I held my head in my hands. He noticed what he was doing, and then lowered his hand. "I-I'm sorry, I'd never be like him."

He reached out to me, but I only shifted away. Louis sighed, and asked me, "When can you trust me again?"

"I-I don't think I ever will again."

Louis looked like he'd rather be strangled than hear my words, but the honesty in my voice was strong. I did believe I would never trust him ever again. Because of what he did.
