Unexpected
Chapter 4: Jake and Gina
Zee’s Pov:
I saw Jake. I saw him with Gina. He was with Gina. Gina is my best friend. Or was my best friend. After Jake and I went our separate ways, I knew they would get together. There were rumors going around the school saying they were seeing each other behind my back. I never believed them until I had proof.
My eyes started watering up as I noticed a guy sitting on the bench next to me. I saw he had cigarettes. “Do you have an extra smoke?” I asked him. After he handed me one I took out my lighter. The only thing I had left of my old life.
“You don’t look like a smoker.” He said.
“Yeah well seemed like a damn good time to start” I forced out harshly. Something about him was familiar. He was wearing a beanie and dark sunglasses. I kept sneaking sideways glances at him until he smirked and said, “See something you like?” I almost chocked on the cigarette then I said I forgot I have to be home in a few minutes. Thanks for the smoke.” I said stomping on the cigarette butt and walking away.
I left him sitting there. For some reason I was back in the café, sitting down at a table in the back looking out the window. Playing on my ipod was uprising my muse. I turned it up so I could tune everything else out.
*15 minutes later*
Niall’s POV:
I saw makenzy come back into the café and sit at a table by herself. I wanted to go over to her and say hi but looks like Liam beat me to it. I glared at the back of his head.
“Hey how’s your arm” He asked her. She didn’t answer. Guess she was to tuned into her music. What Liam did then surprised even me. He took her face between his hands and kissed her full on the lips. When he pulled away her lips formed a little o. He smiled and took her earbuds out. “Hi gorgeous” He said.
Liam’s POV:
She wasn’t paying attention. Pulled her face to mine and kissed her on the lips. I smiled when her face turned bright red. She looked down at the table and tried to turn back towards the window. I didn’t let her. I put my hand on her left shoulder and turned her back towards me.
“How’s your arm, Makenzy?” I asked her.
“Uh, its fine. How’d you know my name?” She said quietly. I smirked. I guess she didn’t realized that she isn’t exactly invisible at school.
“Your in mine and Niall’s History class.” I answered Just as Niall came over and sat down across from Makenzy.
