Fighting For Her

Night Changes

“I’ve only got an hour Everly,” his voice hit me like a ton of bricks.
I nodded my head quickly.
“Let’s go,” I jumped onto his back as he flung open the door and made a run for it. Harry and I am assuming Louis were sitting at the top of the stairs with the door open. We ran out, Louis closing the door behind us. I was still on Liam’s back as he made way to the car. The car started and we all piled in.
“GO GO GO!” Everyone shouted and Niall slung the car in reverse and sped down the road. I was in complete shock. Looking around, I burst into tears. “Brooke! I-I missed you s-so much!” I couldn’t see through the tears in my eyes.
“Everly, I’ve missed you too babe. We are staying at the boys place tonight, so they can’t track you down. Okay?” She played with my hair for a bit, frowning.
“I’ve called your mum already. She’s catching a flight down to London as soon as she can.” I shook my head. So much information was coming at me.
I remembered what I was wearing and grew red with embarrassment.
I crossed my arms over my stomach and looked around the car, seeing the boy with the curly hair; Harry. He was staring at me with the saddest eyes.
I smiled at him and reached out my hand. “I’m Everly,” I said.
“Harry,” he took my hand and didn’t let go. “I’m so glad you’re okay Everly.” We sat in the car in silence for the rest of the trip. No one really knew what to say. I kept glancing back, to make sure no one was following us.
We pulled into the boys’ flats and walked up to their apartment. I was so nervous. Have they figured out yet that I was missing?
“We need to go to the cops. We need to save those other girls!” Liam said.
“The cops are customers of theirs.” I said.
“I don’t care. I will go to the damn FBI.” He said. Liam and Louis left to go to the police station of London, they were over the local police station that the house was in and could do more help. They wanted to see me, but I just needed a break.

“How did you know Harry?” I said as we sat at the dinner table, Harry making us food.
“I’ve always wanted to talk to you Everly, but didn’t have the guts to do it. When I saw you on the news I knew I had to get you home safely.” He shyly smiled and looked up to meet my eyes. Wow, he was amazingly attractive.
“I don’t…I don’t know what to say. I could never repay you for saving my life, Harry!”
“You already have, by being alive and safe, and back home.” He said as he set plates of warm food on the table for us all to eat. “Brooke, Niall come eat!” He shouted. Niall rushed down to the table, he must be extra hungry…
Brooke and I talked nonstop the entire time, catching me up on her romance with Niall. Niall, once done stuffing his face, told me all about himself and the other boys.
“Well mates, its 2 am. Brooke and I are going to crash. Everly, I’m so happy you are back. Lou and Liam are on their way back. You can head to the police station in the morning when your mum arrives. We’ve already set up arrangements for her to meet here.” He said giving me a hug.
“Brooke, I approve of this one. Thank you so much Niall.” I said giving him a warm hug back and a kiss on the cheek.
“Um you can have my room Everly, I’ll take the couch! Let me show you the way!” We got up and Harry led me up the stairs to his bedroom. It was nice. Very well decorated, a lot of pictures of him and his family all over the room. A guitar sat in the back of the room.
“Do you play?” I asked him picking up the guitar.
“I’m learning. I sing more than I play the guitar, though.” He said as his cheeks turned red.
“You’ll have to sing to me sometime,” I said, smiling.
“One day, Ev.” Wow I liked that.
“Well here are some clothes, Brooke brought them over for you. Do you need anything?” I smiled “No, I’m good. Thank you Harry.” He nodded and turned towards the door.
“Harry?” he quickly turned around.
“Yes?”
“Can you stay with me for a bit?” I said patting the bed.
He smiled and walked back in the room. “Anything for you.”
We talked about everything that night. From childhood stories, our families, to what had happened to me and everything in between. It was like I could tell him anything, could open up my heart and mind to him and he just took it all in. He was one of the best guys I had ever met and I hadn't even known him for more than a few hours. How was this possible? And why did we never talk before?

The sun flooded the room as my eyes flickered open. I glanced around the room; relieved I was no longer in a cell. Then I realized where I was and what had happened last night. The boys had rescued me and brought me back here and I had stayed up with Harry all night long talking about everything. I feel like I have known him for years, yet I’ve only just met him. I glanced over at the curly headed boy that was a stranger to me just yesterday. His arm was wrapped around my waist and the curls fell across his forehead.
“Good morning Ev,” he smiled up at me with his huge grin and beautiful green eyes.
“Sorry I woke you! You should sleep, I’ve gotta go to the police station and the salon to fix my hair…” he chuckled and wrapped me tighter in his arms.
“I’ll take you. You are not going alone!” I smiled at his sweet gestures.
I walked downstairs to see my mum sitting with Brooke and Niall. Louis and Liam must still be asleep!
“Mum! I’m so happy to see you!” I flung my arms around her and we both began crying. “Thank god you are okay! I don’t know what I would do without you!” It was only me and my mum after my dad had died years and years ago. He had left behind his multi-million dollar company, leaving my mom and I well…millionaires. Harry and I had talked about it last night, so he nodded his head, knowingly, at me when she said this.
“Hello I’m Harry!” My mom took him into her arms and cried. “Thank you Harry. I can never repay you. You have changed my life and saved my daughters life.”
We all caught up for about an hour as I made breakfast for Liam and Louis as a thanks for all that they’ve done.
Then we headed to the police station where I was bombarded with news reporters and officers. I ducked down, hiding my face.
The officers questioned me for hours and hours as I told them every single thing. Apparently the other girls would be released later that night and Lisa and her husband would be locked away. Thank the Lord.
I couldn’t sit at the station any longer though, so my mom and I headed to the hair salon to get my hair back to normal.

Notes

Tried to skip through the boring stuff quite quickly, but you get the gist of the situation. The next chapter will bounce to a month later, but basically during that time the interviews were all held, the cops busted Lisa and arrested them both. All of the girls were released and offered counseling, among other free things and help. Then they made a lifetime movie about the situation (lol just kidding, kinda).
