Chapter 57: Spectacular
Emmy’s POV
Harry, of course, went out of his way as usual. He planned this spectacular dinner at the finest restaurant on the island. I think he’s sweet for doing this, getting his mom and sister out the cold and spending time with them.
“Harry.. This place is wonderful.’’ Gemma says as the waiter walks away since he just got our orders. ‘’I know.’’ Harry smiles back at her. ‘’Emmy, I love your hair. It’s very pretty.’’ Anne says with that kind smile.
‘’Thank you.’’ I say, lightly smiling only because I didn’t feel too good at the moment. I felt this sharp pain my stomach, I’ve felt it a few times today but never before in my entire life.
I put my hand on Harry’s thigh under the table, squeezing as much of it as I could get in my hand. He looks over at me just as I put my free hand on my stomach, closing my eyes as I focus on keeping myself collected.
‘’You okay baby?’’ Harry’s warm breath hits my ear as he leans closer to me, his shoulder against mine. I just shake my head, not sure what’s really going on but whatever it was is making me hurt and feel horrible.
‘’Emmy? Do you feel okay, darling? You look a little pale.’’ Anne says from across the table. I just sigh, trying to keep my breathing level and keep myself calm. ‘’How about you go to the bathroom, yeah? Just sit in there and see if anything happens.. You don’t feel well, I can tell baby.’’ Harry insists as he places a light kiss against my jaw.
Before I knew it, I couldn’t feel Harry beside me anymore, he had stood up. ‘’C’mon, I’ll walk you in there.. just to make sure you make it.’’ Harry says softly as he pulls my chair from the table.
I open my eyes, sighing again because that’s all I could do right now. Nothing else would come out, no words, nothing at all. Anne and Gemma’s eyes were planted on me as I slowly stood up, Harry’s hands on my waist after he kicked the chair out of his way.
‘’It’s going to be okay Em.. just.. take your time baby.’’ Harry mumbles in my ear as he hears me whine a few times, my hands on my stomach. I felt like throwing up but yet again I felt like doing absolutely nothing.
Harry is the best boyfriend in the world. He came into the women’s restroom with me and sat down on the toilet so I wouldn’t have to be without him. The stall was an okay size, not the best, but it was fine for now.
His thighs were warm and his arms were hugging me tight. He made me feel better, honestly, being with him and being touched by him just made me feel a whole lot better.
‘’I’m sorry, Harry.’’ I mumble as he laces our fingers together. I stare down at our hands joined together, the promise rings. God.. It’s amazing to think that he promised me his life. At least I know he has my heart, and no one else does. It’s a good place for it to be.
‘’For what, baby?’’ He asks just as soft. ‘’For ruining our trip. We haven’t even been here a day and I’ve always screwed it up.’’ I sigh, closing my eyes as I lean my head back on his shoulder.
I felt his chin on mine as he slightly leaned his head against mine. He liked to be close, and so did I. ‘’No baby, you didn’t ruin anything. You’re sick, it’s okay. It’s not a big deal. I can get you some medicine and then everything will be okay.. We can still have fun.’’ He tells me.
‘’But.. but what if medicine doesn’t help me? You know it doesn’t sometimes.’’ I remind him of this important factor. ‘’If you’re too sick to do anything else then we can finish the trip and come back some other time.. just you and me. Or we can go anywhere you wanna go. Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Athens, New Delhi, Las Vegas.. anywhere. As long as I know you’re okay.’’ Harry assures me with a kiss behind my ear.
He knew me too well. He’s the only person that knows that that spot calms me down. He placed another kiss in the same place. At least I know he pays attention to me.. I love Harry, I really do.
But right now.. I can’t even think straight anymore.
