The Next Move Is Yours...

Jessica's POV:

"I'm looking for a Jessica Clarke?" I am quite literally speechless for the second time today. I got up and walked over the the guy, signed the paperwork and took the flowers. They were so beautiful - a mixture of red roses and white lilies... two of my favourite flowers.
"Who are they from Jess?" I shrugged and opened the little white card. I've never had flowers sent to me at work before so this is quite exciting. As I started reading the card I could feel a big smile sweep over my face. I could feel Amy watching my every move, and without saying a word I handed the card to her to read for herself. "I can't stop thinking about you. Harry xx"

Amy looked at me like she couldn't believe what she was reading. To be honest I couldn't actually believe it either.

"I wonder how he knew my last name?" I muttered to myself as I paced back and forth around my desk. "They are gorgeous, these can't have been cheap. I want to thank him, but I don't have any way at all of contacting him. I mean there is Twitter, but there's a slim to none chance of him seeing that." I was more speaking out loud to myself than to Amy, but she interrupted my conversation by saying "there's a mobile number on the back of this card..."

Harry's POV:

As I left Louis' house I couldn't help but smile at the progress I made this morning. When I found MBE Events website there was a page introducing the executives and directors, and sure enough Jessica was on there. Jessica Clarke - pretty name, it definitely suited her. It seems she is actually pretty high up in the company which shows she has ambition and I like a girl with ambition. I wonder how old she is, she doesn't look any older than mid twenties for sure.

After I found her full name I decided the best thing to do would be to send flowers. I wanted to show her I was interested, but didn't want to come off like a crazy weirdo. The message was simple and to the point. I also asked the florist to include my number on the back in the hopes she will contact me, so all I need to do now is wait.

When I got home I decided to keep myself busy and try to take my mind off of Jessica. It didn't really work though as I found myself checking my phone every 10 minutes to see if I had a message or call. I needed to chill out a bit, I don't normally act like this over a girl, but she is different. She has done something to me - and I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like it.

Jessica's POV:

It had been over an hour since Amy discovered a phone number on the card from the flowers, and I have been sat at my desk looking at it ever since. I presume this is Harry's number - I mean who else would it be?
My mind has been going non stop, should I call and say thanks or should I text? If I text what should I say? If I call will it be awkward?

I am driving myself crazy and I know I am over-thinking this. I need to make a decision soon as I haven't been able to get any work done and I am falling really behind.
I have so many things running through my head and I wonder whether Harry is feeling the same. As I get up to go and make a coffee, I decide to just text him and stop being such a tit. As I hit send, I reread the message and was overly happy with the end result. I kept it casual and said:
The flowers are beautiful, thank you so much. You haven't been far from my mind either. Jessica xx

When I got back to my desk I decided I needed to knuckle down and get some work done. I put my phone on silent to avoid any further distractions and started planning Mr Smith's Daughters Party.
The afternoon literally flew by but I managed to get a good portion of work done. It had been 3 hours since I had texted Harry and because I had been so busy, I hadn't even checked to see if he had replied. Much to my delight I had a message back from him asking me out to dinner tonight. I couldn't stop the smile that appeared instantly when I read the message, and simply answered: I'd love to.x

The butterflies in my stomach were still going strong when I got home from work . Harry and I had been messaging back and forth since I left work, and I was really excited about going on a date with him later. He seemed like such a lovely guy, I was looking forward to getting to know him better .

I didn't have much time to get ready as I got home at 6pm and Harry was picking me up at 7pm. I had a quick shower, touched up my make-up and straightened my hair. I decided to wear my new Maxi dress as the weather was beautiful and the dress wasn't too over the top.

By 6.50 I was all ready to go and nerves started to kick in. I'm not a massive fan of dating as I find it uncomfortable and unecessarily awkward, but for some reason I felt different about tonight.

Just as I was slipping on my shoes the doorbell rung. This was it, no backing out now.
