Whirlwind

Hectic

Jessica's POV:

I had not stopped all day - work was ridiculously hectic! My Monday's are usually fairly busy but I am off work for two weeks starting this Friday so I have so much to get done before I go. Not only am I overloaded with work, but I had various co-workers "popping into my office to say hi" all day. What they all were doing was trying to find out if what the papers were saying about Harry and I were true...
Nosey bastards! It got more irritating as the day went on, people who I don't usually speak to other than a polite hello every once in a while, were coming into my office and quite obviously prying about our relationship. I don't have the time or patiences to entertain these kinds of people, however, I know I will have to start getting used to it.

I didn't leave work until 8pm so I decided to pick some dinner up on the way home - there was absolutely no way I was going to start cooking when I got in! I poured myself a glass of wine and settled down on the sofa to enjoy a relaxing and quiet meal.

After I had finished eating I decided to give Harry a quick call. I felt a little bad as he had messaged me a few times today but I had been too busy to properly reply.
"Hey babe."
"Hey Jess, you ok babe?"
"Yeah I'm ok thanks, really tired - I've had such a hectic day! I'm really sorry I've been a bit short in my messages, I haven't stopped all day! You ok though?"
"Don't worry babe I knew you were busy! I'm ok thank you. So tell me about your crazy day..."

Harry and I ended up talking on the phone for over an hour. I told him all about my day and about everyone trying to find out about us. He sympathised with me and managed to say all the right things to make me feel better. He asked me to come over and stay at his tonight, but I was so tired and needed a good night sleep as I knew tomorrow would be another busy day. We agreed I would go over to his house after work tomorrow for dinner - and I'm not gonna lie, I was already extremely excited to see him.

As I was walking into the kitchen to pour myself another well deserved glass of wine, I received a message from my cousin Charlie asking if I was free for a catch up. For the second time this evening I felt bad - I should have called Charlie and told her about Harry and I straight away. We were so close and it killed me knowing the first time she heard anything about it was from a newspaper. I hit the call button and went back in to the living room and sat down making myself comfy on my sofa with my wine.

Half an hour into the conversation and I had finally finished explaining everything that had happened so far with Harry and I. It felt so good to be able to properly speak about it with someone... I couldn't wait to hear Charlies' opinion on it all - what my family think is very important to me and I will always take into consideration their opinions and advice.

"Well Jessy I can safely say I haven't heard you sound this happy in a very long time! I don't want to put any type of downer on this situation at all but how do you think you are going to cope with the fact you will now be living your life in the public eye?"
"Well Chaz I'm not gonna lie, I am absolutely dreading that aspect of it all! You know how private I am!"
"Yeah I know, but you can still keep your private life private Jess. You just need to learn how to deal with it all and I am sure Harry will show you how!"
"Yeah I guess you're right. On another note I am really looking forward to seeing you next week!"
"Yeah me too, are you going to bring Harry?"
I hadn't even considered asking Harry to come away with me - surely it was way too soon for that type of thing. I didn't want to pressure or throw him into meeting a bunch of my family so early on!
"No, I haven't even mentioned it to him yet. I think it's a little too soon for him to be meeting you guys... I don't want to overwhelm him!"
"I don't think you would overwhelm him - I mean it's not like you're introducing him to Auntie Sarah just yet!"
There was a slight pause followed by hysterical fits of laughter.

By the time Charlie and I had finished our conversation it was almost midnight. I was completely shattered and I couldn't wait to go to sleep. I got ready for bed, set my alarm for the following morning and finally got into bed.
As I closed my eyes to drift off to sleep I couldn't help but ponder whether I should invite Harry on my trip or not.
