Whirlwind

Jessica's POV:

I stood up as the guys came flooding into Harrys front room, they all seemed overly excited with big smiles on their faces. I mirrored their expression as I started to walk across the living room to introduce myself. Before I got the chance to open my mouth Louis came bounding towards me with his arms wide open.
"Jessica!! It's so nice to meet you!" He engolfed me in a big bear hug squeezing tightly... It felt like my head was going to explode. "Harry, she's absolutely gorgeous! Well done mate, shame I didn't meet her first..."
"Hey, hands off Tomlinson, she's all mine!"

As they playfully bantered back and forth I went round and greeted the other guys, each were as enthusiastic as Louis.
"Lovely to meet you all, Harry has told me so much about you all I feel like I know you already." I walked over to Harry and he pulled me close to his chest planting a kiss on my head.
"Yeah we've heard a bit about you too." Liam replied with a warm smile. I returned the smile and instantly wondered what Harry had told them - all good things I hoped.
As I stood briefly lost in my own thought process I heard Harry say to the guys "Why don't we go and sit outside, it's a lovely evening and we may as well make the most of the good weather - you never know when it will change in England."
He grabbed my hand giving it a little squeeze and led us all out to the garden.

The garden was absolutely beautiful, very well kept and really spacious. I wondered whether Harry had done all this himself, he never really struck me as a guy who liked spending his spare time gardening - but I guess I still had a lot to learn about him.
We sat down and Niall passed around the beers. "So Jess, tell us a bit about yourself."
"Ah where to start? What would you like to know?" I looked around at each of them, their eyes were hungry for information and I couldn't help but find it endearing they seemed so interested about me.

Harry's POV:

I couldn't keep the smile off my face, Jess was proving to be an absolute hit with the boys. I watched her telling them about herself and they were clinging to her every word like a child holding on to their favourite toy. This really couldn't have gone any better in my opinion I don't know why I was anxious at all.

After hours of endless chatter, banter and a few too many beers the sun was finally leaving the sky and night was quickly approaching. "Shall we go in now guys, it's getting dark and a bit cold out here."
Everyone seemed to be in agreement and started making their way inside. I noticed Jessica going around picking up as many of the empty beer cans as her arms could hold, I couldn't help but think she was definitely one of a kind and I was so lucky to have met her. "Leave that babe, you don't need to tidy up you're a guest."
"Don't be silly Harry I don't expect anyone to pick up after me and I'm happy to help. I'm not going to leave you to do it all." She looked up and flashed me a big smile. "Where would you like me to put these?"
"The bin would probably be a good start." I shot her a sweet smile trying to hold back the laughter I felt building up inside.
"What would I do without you here Harry?" She replied with sarcasm written all over her face. I was just about to answer her with a witty comeback when she said "You know what babe, you should solve crime." And with that she spun around on her heel and walked into the house briefly looking back to throw me a cheeky smile with a look of 'ha that shut you up' splashed across her face.
I couldn't contain my laughter - Jessica was quickly becoming one of the most funny, interesting, smart, amazing and surprising girls I had ever met and I realised in that moment just how fast I was falling for this incredibly gorgeous lady.

I walked into the living room to find everyone settled down and Louis putting on a DVD. I sat down next to Jess, grabbed the blanket from the back of the sofa and put it over us both. Louis turned off the light and made himself comfortable on the sofa next to us right in between Liam and Niall. "Ah this is pretty cosy isn't boys?" Louis stated as he slapped them both on the leg. "Now I want you to both keep your hands to yourself... I know I'm pretty irresistible but there's no time like the present to practice self control." Laughter filled the room whilst Louis acted like he was offended. "Ppppffttt, whatever guys, you know it's the truth."

As I hit play on the remote I pulled Jess into my arms and settled down to watch the film.
Within 20 minutes I felt Jessica's breathing slow and I looked down to see her fast asleep in my arms. She looked so beautiful I couldn't help but stare at her. Everything about her was perfect - even down to the tiny freckles on her nose.

In this moment there was no other place I wanted to be.
