Harry's POV
"Lou! Lou! C-can't breathe!" I gasped as Louis arms squeezed me even tighter, as if they weren't tight enough.
"I just can't believe my wittle Hazza is growing up!" Louis said, tucking his head just underneath my chin. Even though I'm taller than him, he still manages to prove that he's strong despite the height difference.
"Lou, I'm only turning 18" I said, rolling my eyes.
"Precisely!!!!" He said and I gasped at the lack of air.
"Move Louis, stop hogging up the birthday boy" Liam said, pulling at Louis.
"Oh I can't bare this!" Louis dramatically said and finally let me go. He draped himself in Liam's arms and pretended to sob. I gasped, filling my lungs with much needed air.
"C'mere man!" Zayn said and swooped in to give me a sweet embrace. I inwardly thanked him for not just completely squeezing every bit of air out if me. "Happy Birthday!" He said, patting my back. "Thanks" I chuckled and rubbed my bare neck.
"Happy Birthday!!" Niall cheered and ran to me. He knocked into me so hard that we both fell back onto Louis and I's bed.
"Oof!" I grunted and Niall hugged me tight.
"Happy Happy Birthday!" Niall said in his Irish drawl.
"Thanks Niall" I smiled and ruffled his bed head hair.
"Oh okay, but you do t do anything about him tackling you, but you get all on me for just hugging you" Louis sasses and crossed his arms "You're lucky it's your birthday mister or I would be taking you downtown!"
"Not when you don't have the keys to the van" Zayn joked and we all laughed. Well, except for Louis of course.
"Arse" Louis pouted and stomped out of the room. "Come and get your breakfast you birthday twat!" Louis yelled over his shoulder. By now Niall had let me go and we were sitting up on the bed.
"Ouch Lou" I said with mock hurt and Louis appeared back in the doorway.
"Oh I'm sorry sweetheart, come down and et your delicious old I cooked especially for you babe" Louis said with a sarcastic smile.
"Aw" I said, giving him my famous cupcake smile. Louis because playful again and winked at me before dragging Liam out of the room with him. Those two have gotten closer, which I don't mind one bit.
"Coming Harry?" Niall asked, already at the door with Zayn.
"Yeah, just a sec, gonna go to the bathroom" I lied with a dimples smile.
"Okay" Zayn and Niall said in unison and left me alone. I sighed and ran my hands through my wild curls. The day has just started and for some reason, I have a feeling that today's not going to be a good day. Of course my mates have made me smile already, but that doesn't change what I'm feeling. Its a little bit saddening to think this way, especially on my birthday. I still don't know what I want to do, maybe just go skating or bowling, something simple. All I really wanted for my birthday was Nikki. Wow, starting up sound like needy love sick teenage boy. Wait, love sick? Am I in love? With Nikki?
"Ugh" I groaned and tugged on my curls. I don't want to be thinking about this so much. Sometimes I just hate thinking. Thru always drift off to Nikki or the stupid fact that I'll be leaving her behind. Yeah, that's right. I'm already thinking about when the boys and I have to leave. I know that I should be thinking positive, big how can I when I'm going to leave the girl I'm crazy about. It kind of makes me not want to try to make Nikki mine. Like I said, I have to leave her behind and long distance relationships never work.
"Whatcha thinking about birthday boy?" Her delicate voice floated into the room. I looked up and immediately smiled. She wore her hair in a curly, messy bun with jeans that hugged her long thin legs and a shirt that showed of her petite waist. I was just about to tell her that I was in fact thinking about her, but I decided not to.
"Louis still wants to do something for my birthday today, but I have no clue what I want to do" I said, not taking my eyes off her. "Well, you know, the ice rink is still open" she said, leaning through the doorway.
"My sister and I used to go every year." She'd said softly. Talking to her like this was like a dream come true, but it was weird how the mood quickly shifted. And to be honest, it was weird how Nikki was talking to me so smoothly. Her voice was softer than usual, but I'm not complaining; it's nice. Maybe it was just because it's my birthday.
"That's sounds fun, I haven't been ice skating in forever" I told her truthfully. She smiled and nodded her head to the side.
"C'mon downstairs, everyone is waiting for you, and someone would like to talk to you" she said and I stood up.
"If it's Louis who wants to talk to me then I swear" I said awfully loud as I walked out of my room. I could hear my voice echo and bounce off the walls.
"Everyone's a joker today!" Louis yelled from downstairs. Nikki giggled and then blushed when she noticed that I had been admiring her beauty. Or well, to her it probably looked like I was just staring at her with round eyes. We were silent as we walked down the steps and into the kitchen. I didn't really want to break the silence and maybe she just didn't know what to say.
"See Anjelica? Thy is how to get a mission done. Nikki I'm sending you on more missions" Louis said. There was pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit, juice and milk on the table with a huge card right in the middle of it all. Simon was talking to Anjelica while Niall was already eating and Nick was talking with Liam, obviously not really talking to Zayn.
Oops, that would be my fault. My stupid negative thinking made Zayn think negative also and Zayn kind if hurt Nicks feelings...Anjelica stopped talking with Simon and glare over at Louis.
"Oh please, not this again" she sighed.
"Yeah, I'm just going to pretend to know what you're saying and eat" I smiled and walked over to the food that had my mouth watering. Well, maybe my feeling was wrong an it was going to be a good day.
Once breakfast was done, Simon announced that we were free from being grounded for the day. He joked about it being my birthday present from him. Then after getting ready for school, I got to talk to my lovely mother and sister. I haven't talked to them in what felt like ages! I really love them and I've been so caught up in Nikki to realize that my mother and sister were patiently waiting for me to contact them. I'll have to explain to them about Nikki later.
"Its so good to drive again" Louis sighed when he turned the key and the engine made a satisfying purr.
"It's only going I be for a day" Nikki said next to me. I couldn't get over how innocent she looked when she said that. It was the cutest expression ever.

"Don't be mad, be glad!" Nick said, making us laugh at how he made it sound like the commercial for the glad garbage bags.
"I really like those garbage bags, they work quite well" Liam said and Nikki continued to giggle. "Louis red light!" Zayn said when Louis didn't slow down.

"Should Nick, 'Jelca and I meet you at the ice rink?" Nikki asked. "But I need directions" Louis stated.
"Well, Nick and I have to go to my house to change-it's really cold there- so do you want us to come over and you can follow Anjelica's car?" Nikki asked and I nodded, not waiting for Louis answer.
"Great!" Louis said, then unlocked the door "now get out" Louis said. "Well then" Liam smiled and Niall snickered. We hopped out of the van and I reached in the back to grab Nikki's backpack for her.
"Oh-um.." Nikki stuttered when I handed her backpack to her. "Thanks" she said. "Off to the library!!" Louis yelled and started walking off with Liam, Nick and Zayn. I was kind of hoping Niall would go with them so I could talk with Nikki alone, but that would be mean and mate I shouldn't talk with Nikki alone just yet. "Why am I always running into you?" Taylor said from on top of Nikki. Nikki didn't say anything and Taylor sat up. She ran a hand over her tied up hair and looked up. "Oh Harry!" She smiled and I offered my hand to her like the gentleman I am.
Once I helped her up I went to go help up Nikki, but Taylor didn't let go of my hand. "Taylor" I sighed and frowned. "I-" I was about to tell her that I wasn't interested, but she caught me by guard when she asked me a question.

"Why don't you take your friend and leave" I said, more like a demand than a question. The bell rang and people started walking around us to get to school.

"Look! There's Liam!" Taylor said and grabbed Lexi. I looked around the crowd trying I spot Liam and by now Taylor was dragging Lexi away. Nikki and Lexi were still shooting each other down.
"How dare she?!" Nikki growled and Niall softly spoke up.
"Why was Taylor looking for Liam?" He asked. I shrugged and let go of Nikki's arm to gently push her forward.
"C'mon now, don't want to be late for class" I said, noticing the almost empty surroundings.
"Yeah.. I'm sorry and thanks" Nikki sad and quickly kissed my cheek before running off. I blushed red, completely caught off guard again by the kiss. Niall had already left and the cell had rung a minute later, but I was still standing there, smiling like a fool. I placed fingers over my cheek where she kissed me and I couldn't help but fist pump.
But still, even in that momentary bliss, deep down, I felt like everything's was going to go terribly wrong.
