Too Many Secrets
Chapter 14
~Ryann P.O.V~ 2 Weeks Later
I changed into the work clothes I was provided. The dress was old, dingy and very worn but I had no choice. The diner actually got more people than expected and weekends were more packed since more teenagers came. I had went to work the same day the guys had came over. I was still sad and grieving over my past memories. The thoughts never left my mind, but I still worked through them.
Me and Harry have had sex eight times in these two weeks. It was like I wanted him more than even I realised. Harry didn't complain about my extra lust and I didn't complain about the positions he used. He told me he and Charlotte had slept together three times after we had and I was avoiding him, now.
"Pancakes to table three," Paul rang the shiny bell.
"It's 4:30."
He shrugged. "People's orders, not mine."
I sighed ad picked up the tray of pancakes with bacon bits cooked inside of them. There were three stacked on each other with syrup rolling down the sides. On the side was another plate and was bacon and sausage.
Talk about a carnivore.
I smiled at the food and shook my head. This is something Colbie and I would order to share. I walked to table three and saw a short girl with brown hair. It poured out of her hat and down her shoulders and back messily. She stared at her phone and it looked like she was texting someone.
"Your pancakes, ma'am," I told the teenager.
Even though she was young, Mr. Carson told me to call all customers "ma'am" and "sir" even though most of the boys in here were to busy trying to get in some girls pants, rather than be a gentlemen.
"Oh, thank you," she replied.
I noticed how her voice went up into a question at the end. It had that Australian tang to it, I guess. She looked up at me and smiled appreciatively. Her mouth opened and a gasp escaped.
"Ryann?!" Colbie asked but stated.
"Colbie!" I put her plate down.
She stood and hugged me tightly. I hugged back and squealed while people stared at us weirdly.
"What are you doing here?" I asked excitedly.
Since I was happy, my accent stood out more sounding like:
"Wet ah you doin heh?"
"I just took a plane and landed this morning. I couldn't wait to see you so I took the first plane here. I missed you so much and I was on my way to see you but I was starving. Plus, pancakes remind me of our slumber parties," Colbie said hurriedly.
When we were younger, my mom would make us pancakes at night and Colbie would stay over for a sleepover because she didn't want to wake her alcoholic of a mother.
"Well, I have to get back to work, but you know Charlotte's address so just stay there until like six and I'll be there as soon as possible," I promised.
She kissed my cheek and I grinned. She pulled me into a hug and whispered softly into my ear.
"And you've got to tell me about that guy your fucking," she smirked.
I grinned at her and whispered before going to take the next customers order.
"A true bad girl never kisses and tells."
