Nera's Outfit

The floorboards pumped with music as Paul and I stood in my bedroom, listening to the party downstairs. Most of the guests had arrived, their hollers echoing through the walls. I stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows of my bedroom, watching the lights of Manhattan shine in the darkness.
"Are you ready to go down?" Paul asked, his hands softly caressing my bare shoulders.
"I guess so…" I replied, turning around to face him, taking in his beautiful features. "Paul… Don't you think that we should talk about… us?"
"We can do that later. Right now, we need to go get crazy drunk and party with our friends." He replied, flashing me a soft smile.
"Ok. You're right."

Opening my bedroom door, I grabbed Paul's hand, tugging him along behind me as we made our way down the stairs.
"Nera!" Selena squealed, her wavy brown locks bouncing around her face as she embraced me. "Thank God you're finally here! I need someone to do shots with."
"Well I'm your girl." I giggled, weaving my way through the massive crowds of people, clutching Paul's hand in mine as I followed Selena.
Arriving at one of the many gold tables, a bartender poured tequila shots, placing salt and lime on the table.
"Cheers!" The three of us cheered, downing our shots in a frenzy.
The liquid burned my throat, settling in my stomach and causing a warm buzz to hum through my body. We each quickly downed three more shots, reveling in the heated burning sensation.
"I'm gonna go say hi to other people." I told Selena, who simply nodded her head and danced away, her curvy body grooving to the music.

I continued through the crowd, waving at Taylor, who was talking to Cara. Justin Bieber was on the glitter dusted stage, doing spins as the song "Chimes" blasted through the penthouse, shaking the walls with it's powerful vibrations. Turning towards the elevator, I watched as it opened, revealing Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham entered the building, pulling Paul away from me with apologies.

My mind began to spin as I turned around in circles, flashes of brightly colored and sparkly people flashed by me. The penthouse was almost pitch black, the only light being the black lights hanging from the walls. Glitter of every color rained down around me, dusting every part of my body. I couldn't see my dad or Paul or even Selena anywhere, which meant I had to go be social. Taking a step backwards, I felt my body collide with someone else's as my foot slipped on a pile of gold glitter. Spinning around, my hair whipped against my back as my green eyes met with his.
"I'm sorry." I blurted out, biting my lip hesitantly.
"It's quite alright love." He murmured, smiling at me. "I was actually hoping we would meet again. I had fun last time I was at one of your parties… It was especially intense..."

Blushing, I dipped my head, recalling our last encounter. Harry had shown up at one of my game nights, joining a small group of celebrities and I in a game of spin the bottle. He and I had ended up kissing, both too drunk to think much of it. I told everyone that I hadn't remembered it, but I did. He had kissed with such ferocity, as if my lips were his lifeline. It had been intense and fiery. It had made me crave more.

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I hope you're having fun at this one too." I replied, looking him in those marvelous green eyes of his. "Do you want a drink?"
He nodded, proceeding to follow me towards one of the bartenders.
"I'll have a martini straight up." Harry said, his blue glitter-covered fedora perched precariously on his curls.
"I'll have the same." I said with a nod towards the bartender. "So what do you think of the party?"
"I think you and your dad really outdid yourself. Are all your parties like this?"
"Yep!" I yelled, struggling to make conversation over the blaring music. Leaning closer to him, I whispered in his ear. "Just between you and me, I love these parties, but sometimes I prefer a more quiet setting."
"I agree. It can get a little overwhelming." Harry replied, taking his drink from the bartender and handing me mine.
"Cheers!" I yelled, clinking my glass against his and sipping my drink.

Harry and I continued there for a while, downing a few shots together. My snapchat story was soon full of pictures of him and I, making silly faces at the camera. Harry said something, a look of uncertainty appearing on his face.
"What?" I asked, leaning in closer to his mouth.
"Do you want to dance?" He yelled, his green eyes shining with hope.
"Of course!" I screamed, taking his hands and guiding him onto the dance floor, a mass of writhing bodies.

Harry and I began dancing with each other, our bodies moving in perfect sync to the music."Teach Me How to Dougie" came on, throwing me back to my awkward middle school years.
"Nera! Nera! Nera!" The crowd chanted, forming a wide circle around me. Paul and Harry stood on the inner rings, both of them smiling at me as I began dancing.
The dougie came naturally to me as I danced, throwing in a few break dancing moves, doing a handstand in my tiny dress, not caring about it coming up. The crowd howled as I exited the circle into Paul's waiting arms.
"Wow Nera. I didn't know you knew how to do a handstand." Paul teased, dancing alongside me as we waited for someone else to enter the circle.
"I didn't either!" I replied, giggling as Paul and I danced.
Glancing across the circle, I saw a shadow cast itself over Harry's face. Then, he was in the center of the circle, dancing with a smooth and sexy composure. His hips grinded to the music as he threw in a few silly moves. Laughing, I smiled at him, earning a wink, and his fedora.
