The news hit me hard. When are you supposed to do when the unexpected happens. When your whole life is turned upside down.

This is what I felt when I heard the news that changed my life forever. It had just been a normal day. My brother Nash was back from visiting his friends and we were just having brother and sister time. Nash was always traveling so it was nice to be able to spend time with him before he left again.

We were at our favorite park, seeing who could go the highest on the swings. Nash's phone rang and he jumped off. As he talked his smile disapeered. He hung up and I jumped off the swing.

"Mom was in an accident, she's in the hospital. The nurse said it wouldn't be very long before she was gone." He said.

We we raced to the hospital, but our mom was dead by the time we got there.

The next day we met with my mom's lawyer. He explained that I could live with Nash or I could live with my dad's sister Lou, who I haven't seen since I was a little girl. Nash was planning on leaving for Paris in two weeks with his girlfriend Brooke. It was hard for me to decide between my brother who didn't have a permanent home or an aunt that I didn't know. Nash convinced me to go live with my Aunt in England.

A week later I was at the LAX airport. My boyfriend Hayes was there to say goodbye and so was Nash and Brooke. I barely left L.A. so this would be a big change for me, but I was willing to try.
