She's Into Drummers

I took in the sight in front of me. Ashton brought me on the most thoughtful and romantic date ever. He brought me to my prom.
“Surprise!” Ashton said enthusiastically. I looked to him with tears in my eyes. “Are you crying? Why are you crying?” he said with a worried look on his face.
“No, Ashton, they’re happy tears. This is the sweetest, most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me.” He pulled me in for a hug and kissed the top of my head.
“Wait, but what about the fans? I know there are some big 5 Seconds of Summer fans that go to my school.”
“Don’t worry about it. They made a big announcement about how everyone needs to let us be and treat me like a normal guy for the sake of your night.”
“You’re amazing.” I said, looking at him in awe.
“I’m alright.” He said looking at the ground.
“No, really. You’re amazing.”
Ashton shyly smiled at me before pulling me in by the small of my back and kissing me.

We were interrupted by a high squealing noise which became louder as it got closer. I looked over to Kacey running towards me, as fast as she could run in her heels.
“Oh my gosh!” I screamed as she jumped into my arms. I felt like crying, I was so happy to see her.
“I missed you so much don’t you dare leave my side tonight.” Kacey said, not letting go of me.
“Well I may have to give my date a little attention.” I laughed. She let go of me and turned to hug Ashton.
“Oh my god, I haven’t seen you in forever!” she said to him. Michael then cleared his throat. Kacey turned around.
“Michael?” her face lit up.
“Surprise.” He said hugging her.
“What are you doing here?”
“Well a little birdy told me that you didn’t have a date to your senior prom, so I thought I would step in.” he said with an adorable smile.
“That is so sweet.”

Ashton’s POV
We all made our way into the building and as soon as I walked into the room I was blown away. The decorations were breathtaking. There were twinkly lights everywhere with a disco ball in the center of the room. I looked over at Ella who was gazing at the lights in awe. She looked so beautiful. I had to be the luckiest guy in the world.

The music was so loud. They were currently blasting “Shut up and dance” by Walk the Moon.
“Let’s go dance!” Ella said, enthusiastically, dragging me to the dance floor. We made our way to the middle of all the action and Ella started grinding on me. I was a little surprised at first. I know this is how people dance at dances and stuff, but this was a side of Ella I had never seen before. I gotta say I was enjoying it though. The song shortly came to an end and a slow song came on. It was “Love me like you do“ by Ellie Goulding. I took Ella’s small hand in mine, her other hand on my shoulder, mine on the small of her back. Ella laid her head on my shoulder. I wanted to stay like this for as long as possible.
“This is nice.” I said as we swayed.
“It’s our first dance.” She said, with her head still on my shoulder.
“I guess it is.” I’m going to remember this moment and song for a long, long time.
We stayed dancing like this until the climax of the song came on and I spun her around. It was like a movie moment. The smile on her face was unforgettable. She just looked so happy and that made me so happy.

Other songs continued to play after that. We both were getting a little tired of how loud it was in there and decided we needed some fresh air as well.
“Do you wanna go somewhere a little quieter?” I said in her ear, receiving a nod from her. We walked out the back exit which led to a beautiful pathway, lined with flowers and lights. I took her hand in mine as we started down the path. Her head was leaning against my shoulder as we walked.
“This has been such an amazing night.” Said Ella. “I can’t thank you enough for such an unforgettable prom night.”
“Hey, it’s not over yet.” I said as we approached a little white gazeebo. We sat down on the bench that was sat inside.
“I know, but I just wanted to tell you that. I’ve had an amazing night so far, all thanks to you.” She smiled with her adorable smile. My hand palmed her cheek as I leaned in to kiss her. I ended our kiss and stared into her beautiful blue eyes.
“You are the most beautiful girl in the whole world and I can’t believe you’re all mine.” I said in disbelief, causing her to blush the way she does every time I compliment her. It was so adorable.
“Do you hear that?” she asked. I listened closely and heard music coming from a small speaker installed in the gazeebo.
“Thinking out loud.” She said smiling. She was obsessed with that song; it was literally the only thing she ever listened to. I stood and offered my hand.
“May I have this dance my lady?” I joked.
“Well of course.” She laughed, taking my hand. We began dancing. It was nice, just the two of us out here, dancing close.
“I love this song.” She said.
“And I love you.” I said. She lifted her head and looked at me. Oh shit, did I just say that out loud? I did not mean to say that. Of course I meant it, but I didn’t want to tell her, it was too soon. She probably thinks I’m creepy now.
“That just slipped out.” I said.
“Wow you really are thinking out loud.” She laughed.
“Yeah” I laughed nervously.
“I love you too, Ashton.” She smiled. My heart stopped at her words. I just stood there shocked for a little bit before the smile that was inside me finally showed on my face.
“Really?”
“Yes.” She giggled. Thank God. I leaned in and kissed her. It was without a doubt the most meaningful and passionate kiss we have ever shared.
“Do you want go back to the hotel now?” she asked.
I nodded my head, “Yes.”

Im sorry I haven't posted in like 2 weeks but I have had like no motivation which also explains why this chapter sucks. I don't really want to continue with the fan fic but I will just in case there are people who are actually enjoying this story, which I wouldn't know because NO ONE COMMENTS OR SUBSCRIBES!!!!! Ive decided I wont be posting the next chapter until someone comments and I have at least 3 subscribers, so if you want to see what happens next then comment and subscribe.
And also ya I decided to do an Ashton POV in this one because I feel like no one really knows whats going on in his head and the story was just missing something so ya.
