*Louis p.o.v*
I woke up and it was morning I was in a hospital room, and I was hooked up to some machines and I looked around, there was a bed opposite to mine and Harry was in it.
“you finally decided to wake up.” Harry said.
“what, when did I like, what.” I said quite confused.
“you passed out as soon as we got here, they got the bullet out of your leg.” Harry said.
“I didn’t even feel the pain from my leg, until you mentioned that.” I said.
“sorry.” Harry said.
“so how long was I out.” I asked.
“two days.” Harry said.
“what, wait why are you still in here?” I asked.
“well you see, they had to re crack my ribs because they were broken in a weird way so they had to break them again so they will fix properly and now I am stuck in here for a few days, until they know the healing process has started.” Harry said.
“ok, so how long am I here for?” I asked.
“about the same time as me.” Harry said the doctor came in.
“so mr Tomlinson you finally decided to wake up.” The doctor said.
“I guess I did.” I said.
“ok you already know you were shot in the leg, but the bullet hit some nerves in your leg so until it is fully healed you can’t walk on it at all, your leg will give way because of the pain .” The doctor said.
“wait I won’t be able to walk on that leg for how long?” I asked shocked.
“about 6 weeks, or more It depends on how damaged the nerves are we aren’t sure if you will be able to walk on that leg it all depends on how well they heal, but if the nerves do heal properly you will be able to walk on that leg, but it will be weak, so you won’t be able to walk as far as you can now, but for at least 6 weeks you can’t walk on it.” The doctor said.
“ok.” I said quietly I can’t believe this there is a possibility that I won’t be able to walk on that leg all depending on how the nerves healing great, great, great.
“are you ok?” harry said, I completely forgot about him being here.
“yeah I am.” I said.
“you’re not.” Harry said.
“I am.” I said.
“Louis you just been told that you might not be able to walk on that leg of course you upset.” Harry said and the boys came into the room.
“hey Lou your up.” They said.
“yeah I am.” I said fake smiling.
“don’t fake smile.” Harry said.
“seriously SHUT UP” I said really loudly and I was slightly annoyed.
“whoa what’s happened? Calm down Lou.” Liam said I rolled my eyes and turned over in the bed so I wasn’t facing any of them the boys went over to Harry and he whispered to them about something and they kind of gasped
“Lou everything will be fine.” Liam said the doctor came back and gave me some crutches to walk, I got the choice of those or a wheel chair and of course I went with crutches, the boys brought me and harry some close since we have to stay here for a few more days. The boys were sitting around our room they had just came back and harry was getting changed, even though it killed him, because of his ribs, I could hear him hiss in pain every time. He came out of the bathroom and he lay back in his bed and he talked to the boys. I reached for my crutches and started to make my way to the bathroom, my leg is killing I can feel all the pain rushing through. I got changed and walked back out.
“hey guys I’m going to see Em.” I said.
“do you want one of us to come with you.” Liam said.
“if anyone wants to just to make sure no one kidnaps me.” I said.
“I’ll come.” Niall said.
“ok then,” I said I started to hop down the corridor,
“can you remember when I had crutches for my knee and I was lying in the tour bus and you and Zayn started to have a fight with them pretending you were having a star wars fight.” Niall said.
“yeah I do because I remember I stood on the table and the tour bus put on its breaks and I fell off the table onto the floor and Paul went mental with me.” I said I forgot all about my crutches for a second and put my other leg on the floor to walk and I fell to the floor In pain.
“oh my god Louis.” Niall said.
“I forgot about my leg it really hurts.” I said I looked around and a few people were staring and my nurse came by.
“Mr Tomlinson have you been ignoring what I said.” she said.
“I forgot about my leg, can I have some pain killers or something.” I said.
“I will be back in a minute.” She said and when she came back she gave me the tablets and it took all of the pain away.
“where are you going Mr Tomlinson your meant to be taking things easy.” She said.
“I’m going to see someone.” I said.
“oh that’s right Emily Hunter isn’t it.” She said.
“yeah, now if you don’t mind I’m going to see her.” I said ok I will see you later she said and walked off.
“ok do not forget about your leg.” Niall said we reached Em’s room.
“ok I will be back in a minute, I’m going to get food don’t leave her room.” Niall said.
“ok.” I said and walked into Em’s room.
“hey Lou, oh my god what happened.” She said.
“it’s nice to see you too.” I said.
“I’m sorry.” She said and kissed me I sat in the chair next to the bed.
“ok so what happened.” She said.
“I got shot in the leg.” I said.
“oh Lou something would happen whilst I was in here.” She said.
“yeah and it’s worse I might not be able to walk on that leg ever again.” I said my smile fading
“lou with your luck you will be able to walk don’t worry about it.” She said I smiled as it calmed me down.
“so anything else.” She said.
“yeah Harry got beat up now he is in here with broken ribs.”1 Said.
“seriously everything is falling apart without me.” She said.
“I know and I miss you like mad.” I said.
I miss you two.” She said and I kissed her again and I held her hand. We made small talk for a while and I tried to avoid talking about what has been happening.
“oh and you forgot to tell me how was your appointment at the doctors, what are they going to do?” she asked.
“it went well, I was being paranoid about it, they took a little blood for tests to see if they can find the cure and they will take things from there.” I said it was a breeze lying for me I guess I can get away with these things.
“that’s good and I told you nothing bad would happen, so how did you get shot?” she said.
“ok the boys were keeping me locked in the house after my appointment because apparently you can pass out and shit from blood being taking so they wanted to make sure nothing happened I ignored it and came to the hospital and got chased by two fans then we all left and we were walking the streets I wondered off into the bad side of this town got shot and then Harry got beat up trying to help me.” I said.
“well at least someone helped you and at least your fine and alive.” She said Niall then walked in.
“hey Em how are you?” Niall asked.
“I’m fine just a little sore thank you.” She said.
“good, how long are you in here for.” I asked.
“2 more days.” She said.
“I was about to say good, but I’m in here for at least a week.” I said.
“Lou we should get you back to the boys you’ve been here for over an hour and a half.” Niall said.
“I will see you tomorrow.” I said and kissed her.
“bye Lou love you.” She said.
“ I love you too bye.” I said and hopped down the corridor we reached mine and Harry’s room and my arms were killing me as we were on the complete opposite side of the hospital I sat on the bed and fell back down.
“guys we will see you later visiting times are over.” Liam said.
“see you later.” Me and harry said.
“are you ok?” Harry said.
“do I look alright.” I said.
“not really.” Harry said.
“exactly.” I said.
“you’re a fighter Lou.” Harry said.
“what do you mean?” I asked confused.
“well you lost your girlfriend, then your family, your home you have us luckily so your not alone but you have almost been killed by zombies and you were trapped in a shop, you got bit by a zombie and survived, you have been beat up over and over again by Damon by those guys and so on you have been in a coma and know you have been kidnapped and you have had almost all your blood taking Lou this list could go on you have been through a hell of a time and you have always pulled through and your still the same Lou from before this apocalypse I don’t even know how you are managing with this but you are so Lou you’re a fighter.” Harry said.
“but I am ready to give up I’m sick of everything it’s always me everything bad is happening to me, but I would rather this happen to me than any of the boys or the girls.” I said.
“you do know we all care for you and we are always here for you no matter what.” Harry said.
“I know you guys have always been with me remember when we thought I was going to die from the zombie bite.” I said.
“that wasn’t funny seriously I was scared actually scared doesn’t come close to that.” Harry said.
“but if I did die at least I wouldn’t of kept being put through hell.” I said.
“think about what Winston Churchill once said if you’re going through hell keep going.” Harry said.
