Moving To England

Chapter Fifty-Eight

*Destiny’s POV*
*First Day back to School after the Winter Break*

I sauntered down the road, the dark grey, overcast morning caused a gloomy mood. Gail force winds whipped past my blushing cheeks, as I pulled my coat in closer to my body.

I had zipped my jacket up to the highest it could possibly go, stilling trying to tug it upwards to protect myself from the cold.

“If you pull that zipper any harder, you’ll break it.” I hear someone laugh, from behind me. Whipping my head around, I see Niall walking up next to me.

“Oh please. It’s so cold, I hate it.” I shook my head, chuckling lightly.

“Didn’t you live in like Canada for most of your life? Isn’t it like the north pole there?” Niall questioned me, walking along my side towards school.

“Yeah, but I still hate it.” I sighed.

“Of course.” Niall nodded. “Harry not walking with you today?”

“Nope, he’s sick, remember. I’m going to see him after school.” I say. “How about June? You aren’t with her.”

“No clearly.” Niall teases me.

“Oh, shut up.” I playfully slapped his arm.

“She went to a council meeting, earlier today,” Niall said, laughing.

“Oh shoot! The meeting! I completely forget!” I face-palmed myself.

“Shame. Shame.” Niall snickered.

“In my defence, I slept in because I was super tired!” I claimed, putting my hands in the air.

“Yeah. Okay.” Niall laughed. We walked the rest of the way to school, by bringing up random topics to talk about. Just before entering the building, I noticed the large billboard sign on the front lawn of the school. It usually read upcoming news or event, or different messaged from the school. Today it read: “Exams in a Month.”

“Wait!” I stopped.

“What?!” Niall exclaimed, a little annoyed.

“What does that say?” I frantically asked.

“Can you not read all of a sudden?” Niall questioned me, crinkling his forehead.

“Of course I can,” I muttered.

“Exams are in a month, Destiny,” Niall said, rolling his eyes. Suddenly overcome fear, I slightly fainted, losing my balance and falling backwards. To my fortunate luck, Lima had come up behind me and caught me before I had crashed to the ground.

“Seems like you would die without Harry by your side,” Liam commented, helping me up.

“Are you scared of exams?” Niall asked, smirking.

“No. I’m not.” I sarcastically say, with a straight face. “Of course I am! Idiot!” I quickly add, slapping the back of his head.

“Ouch! Sorry! Sorry!” Niall mumbled, rubbing the back of his head, making a pouty face. “Such an aggressive person. You are so mean, Destiny. You know that.”

“Thanks.” I shrugged as Liam, Ally, Niall and I entered the school.

“How could you be scared of exams? You are a, straight - A student.” Ally pointed out.

“Yeah but … exams. They are like a quarter of our whole grade. Straight A’s just don’t come like that.” I pointed out.

“True.” Liam nodded, “Or else Niall wouldn’t have been getting such ugly marks.”

“Look who’s talking.” Niall laughed.

“Uh, please. I’ve been getting a good amount of A’s.” Liam argued.

“Have you now?” Ally teased him.

“See.” Niall laughed.

“I have!” Liam demanded

“Yeah okay. When I see it, I’ll believe it.” Niall rolled his eyes.

“Yeah? Okay, let me show you.” Liam declared, stopping us in the middle of the hallway so he could rummage through his messy bag.

“First clean that dump yard of yours, and then show us,” I say, shaking my head, as I walked off to my first class and laughing, walking off to my first class – Literacy with Mrs Carl. June, Louis and Harry were in my class.

The first period mainly consisted of Mrs Carl warning everyone about exams, and explaining how things were going to fold out. So just a bunch of talking, people not paying attention and me struggling to understand what she was saying.

*Second Period*

“Alright. Uhm, kids how about you work on any pending assignments or homework you have for this class or other classes. I’m not entirely prepared yet. Just a complete mess this morning,” Mr Dave, our Chemistry teacher, mumbles, as he rummaged through his paper and bag.

Fifteen minutes into the class, we were still working on other subjects, when the principal walked in with a boy trailing behind him. He had his head covered with his hoodie.

“Mr Dave.” The principal, Mr Cobalt says.

“Yes, sir? Is this the new student?” Mr Dave asks.

“Yes.” Mr Cobalt nods before turning to the class, “Good morning student. I would like you to meet your new classmates this period. Class this is Josh. Josh White.”

Immediately, Niall, Zayn and I were in awestruck, as Josh pulled down his hoodie revealing his blank face.

“Josh …” I gulped. Just as soon as Josh’s eyes met mine, Niall’s and Zayn’s, his blank expression turned to a half smile and half smirk, while Mr Cobalt said something quickly to Mr Dave and exited the room.

“Why don’t you go take the empty seat next to Destiny, Josh?” Mr Dave says.

Immediately, Niall got up from behind Melody and rushed to the seat next to me before Josh could. “How about he go and sit next to Zayn?” Niall says.

“Uhm, alright then. Sit next to Zayn, Josh.” Mr Dave says, confused.

‘Thank you,’ I mouth to Niall, as Josh walks past us and slums into the seat next to Zayn, and behind Melody.

“He is hot,” Melody whispers to me. Wiping my face around, I gave her the ‘Are you serious?’ look. “What?” She asks.

“Shut up,” I shook my head, staring down at my notebook, as I finished up my story for Writing class, trying to pay less attention to Josh, as possible.

“Oh, Destiny. Mr Cobalt wanted me to tell you that he took the courtesy of placing Josh in all of your classes so you can help him get through the rest of this semester. Seeing that you are probably the friendliest to others.”

“What!” I cried. I quickly shook my head as to dismiss my rude tone. “Okay,” I quietly nodded.

“Hello. I’m Josh White,” Josh smiles at Zayn and Niall, extending his hand for them to shake.

“We know,” Zayn groans, while he and Niall shot him multiple dirty looks, remembering the Florida incident with him.

“I’m Melody.” Melody smiled, shaking his hand. “I’m sorry about my friends, I don’t think they are in a good mood today. They are really great people once you get to know them. You’ll love ‘em.”

“I’m sure I will, Melody,” Josh smirked, staring at me, as he shook her hand.

“Melody, what are you doing?” I sneered at her, in a hushed voice.

“Making friends and being nice.” Melody shrugged. “You were supposed to be the nicest one here. What happened.”

“Yeah okay,” I huffed.

“So? I’m single and ready to mingle.” Melody brushed it off.

“Single?” I questioned her.

“Justin and I broke it off. He wasn’t ‘into’ the relationship anymore, or some crap like that.” Melody rolled her eyes.

“Really?” I asked, honestly not surprised.

“Yeah,” Melody nodded.

“Okay. Okay. I’m ready!” Mr Dave announced, as he begun writing on the board. “Write down these notes.” We watched him write down the title, looking down at my paper, I did the same. By the time I looked back up, the board was filled with random notes on Chemistry.

“What the heck!” Niall astonished commented. Everyone was set back a bit by how quick, and how many notes there were on the board to copy down. We all stopped our notes, and watch Mr Dave finish writing the last sentence.

“Alright. Everyone on that board is super important. Copy everything down – word by word,” Mr Dave warned us, as he went through his notes again.

“Bruh,” Josh huffed, “ the First day, and I’m already packed with notes,” Everyone seemed to ignore his comment, as they quickly tried to copy the notes before Mr Dave earned them and begun his new set.

“Ahh … my hand aches. We have devices for a reason,” I groaned, as I pulled out my phone and took a quick shot of the board.

“Send that to us,” Zayn whispered to me.

“Me too?” Josh asks sincerely. I give him a slightly dirty look before giving him a little nod. He smiled and slipped me a paper with his number written on it.

Copying down the number into my phone, I sent him the notes, along with Melody, Zayn and Niall. As we exited the classroom, I began to examine the rest of the little slip of paper.

“Forgive me,” It read. Shaking my head, I crumpled it up and threw it away. As I did, I noticed Josh watching me. Simply shrugging it off, I walked out of the classroom.

I leant against the wall, just outside of the classroom as I waited fro my friends to come out. As I watched everyone exit the room, I noticed Josh getting on his knees to pick up the piece of paper I had thrown away.

I didn’t know or understand why he had done that, nor what he was going to do next. I rolled my eyes, trying not to care and ignore his existence. Although, despite how hard I tired, flashbacks of the old, happy times I had spent with Josh ran through my mind, back to the time he was my only friend.

“Ready for Math?” Melody asks me, as she, Zayn and Niall walked out of the class.

“Yeah,” I nodded.

“What do you have against Josh, anyway?” Melody asks as we began walking toward our next classes.

“Long story,” Niall sighs, shaking his head.

“To one to ever explain correctly,” I add on, making sure Melody doesn’t get any ideas of getting us to tell her.

“Shame,” Melody shook her head. “He really is good looking.”

“Wait! Destiny!” Mr Dave called to me, just before we were out of sight.

“Yeah?” I asked, turning around to see Mr Dave calling me from his classroom.

“Aren’t you forgetting someone?” He questions me.

“Mhmm,” I looked around at my friends. “Nope,” I shrugged.

“Josh?” Mr Dave says, with a straight face, rolling his eyes.

“Oh … right,” I say with a little nod, looking at Josh’s direction, who was staring at me helplessly.

“Are you coming or what?” I say to him, with attitude. Josh nodded, silent, quietly following me to Math Class.

“If he does anything stupid, ignore him, and just tell one of us. If Harry finds out, he will get really hyped up and aggressive. The side of him that he blocked off after meeting you, won’t be blocked off anymore,” Zayn warns me, in a hushed voice so Josh couldn’t understand what he was saying.

“Yeah but, Harry will find out. Might as well let him know.” I shrugged with a nod.

“Do it when he is feeling better than,” Niall suggested before he and Zayn left for their class.

*Third Period*

“Welcome to Math Class,” I say to Josh, in the most monotoned voice possible, after I waved bye to Melody. Just as I was about to walk in, without warning, Josh grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me out of the classroom, and to the side of the nearly empty hallway.

“Listen to me, Baker. Don’t act like I’m a stranger,” Josh sternly says, staring at me with hurt in his eyes.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I say, narrowing my eyes, as I jerked my arm away from him.

“Don’t play dumb. You know exactly what I’m talking about. We used to best friends. Now you treat me like a complete stranger,” Josh sneers at me.

“Well, you better not forget that you nearly killed all my friends, and how about the fact you kidnapped me over the winter break? What are you doing here anyway?” I question him, anger filling up my insides.

“My Dad’s job got transferred to fricken China, but I’m not about to go there. So he let me stay with my uncle until he can come here.” Josh explained, “You know I could’ve gone to my aunt’s place, but she lives in Germany. I wanted to move here. I needed to apologise for what I did. I want my best friend back. I want you to let me back in.”

“Why would I do that? And I thought you were like madly in love with me or something.” I groaned.

“I was … and I still am, but I see how much you love, what’s-his-face. Also, how much that boy loves you. You were my best friend, I loved it like that. I want that feeling back.” Josh says, sadness taking his voice over.

“I do love him.” I slowly say, staring at my feet.

“Yeah, I know.” Josh laughed a bit. “You know something else?”

“What?” I unintentionally sneered at him.

“He is exactly the type of guy you described when you were younger. Remember?” Josh smiled.

“Oh yeah.” I laughed at myself, shaking my head. “Curly hair. Green eyes. Buff … fuck boy.”

“Perfect match.” Josh chuckled.

“Made in Heaven,” I smirked.

“Hey! Stop flirting and get into a class!” Mrs Sturges yelled at us, from inside the classroom. Startled, we immediately walked into the class and took our seats, next to Ally and Mabel. Josh sitting right behind me.

“What is he doing here?” Ally sneered a whisper at me.

“New student, moved here recently,” I say, with a straight face, looking at her.

“Drama’s coming to town.” Ally smirked, leaning back in her chair.

“You know it.” I chuckled, leaning forward.

“Stop giggling, girls. You wouldn’t want me to be telling you, boyfriends, you two are lesbian. Would you now?” Mrs Sturges smirked at us, trying to shut us up.

“No. We wouldn’t care. Actually, we were about to tell them ourselves.” Ally smirked back. Leaving the teacher in awestruck, and sending bursts of laughter throughout the classroom.

“Nothing wrong with being lesbian,” I say with a shrug and sly smirk.

“Just be quiet and pay attention.” Mrs Sturges groaned, turning her attention to the board.

“Jeez, she is a real mood today, ain’t she?” Mabel laughed.

*Lunch*

“Hey girls!” Liam waved to us, as Mabel, Ally and I walked over to the table, where everyone was already seated.

“Hi.” We smiled back, sitting down in our seats, Harry’s place empty.

“So how was your morning?” I cheerfully asked.

“Torture,” Zayn whined. “The old hag of a teacher I’ve got talks too much!”

“Stop! That’s not nice!” Mabel exclaims, slapping Zayn’s arm. “She is your teacher. Be respectful.”

“When did you care about those things?” Zayn laughed, teasing her.

“I don’t even know.” Mabel faced palmed herself. “I’ve been hanging out with Destiny too much.”

“Well, then my job has been completed,” I smirked, crossing my arms and leaning back. Everyone laughed, as we continued on with our conversations and ate our lunch.

“Destiny? What’s wrong?” Ally questioned me, worried as she gently grasped my arm. Slowly the smiles disappeared from my friends’ faces as they noticed my condition.

“Oh my gosh. It’s Josh.” Liam growled, as he stared at the direction my eyes were trained in.

“No.” I shook my head, “I already knew that. It’s the boys that are with him. Aaron and Allen. They were Victor’s friends. They helped Victor bully me. They were my bullies.” I say, tears threatening to spill. Confused and scared, my eyes darting around the room as if they were searching for a solution or what to do now. Quickly, I grabbed onto Ally’s arm and pulled her to the washroom.

“Wait! Destiny!” Josh exclaimed, running towards me, with Aaron and Allen trailing behind him, as he noticed me trying to leave the cafeteria.

“No. Stay away from me.” I refused immediately, trying to block him from me with my arm and Ally on the other side me.

“No please listen.” Josh insisted I tried pushing him away from me.

“Didn’t you listen to her? Leave!” Ally exclaimed.

“Shut up!” Josh screamed angrily, pushing Ally to the ground.

“Ally!” I exclaimed in fear, trying to help her up, but Josh grabbed my arm, covered my mouth and threw me over his shoulder and rushed me out of the building into some strange alleyway near the school. The wind howled around us, blowing the cold snow around. Only outside, in my uniform, I began to shiver, but that seemed to be the least of my worries at the moment.

“Help!” I cried immediately after Josh uncovered my mouth and pinned me to the wall. I noticed Aaron and Allen right behind him. “Help me, please.” I cried, as tears began streaming down my face.

“Shut up!” Josh exclaimed.

“Gentle Josh! We won’t hurt you Destiny. Please calm down. We just need to talk. Please.” Aaron said, acting all soft.

“No. I don’t believe any of you. Let me go.” I growled, fighting the constant streaming tears.

“Please. Look, we came here to apologise.” Allen tried explaining.

“Then why did you bring me here.” I cried, wiping away the tears. “What kind of apology is this?”

“Josh did.” Allen glared at Josh.

“We need to let her go. We can’t talk to her like this.” Aaron says to Josh.

“Well, there is no other way she’ll listen,” Josh mumbled.

“I listened to you when you gently pulled me aside before class. And you know what I thought for the mere moment we were best friends again. Naturally, that can never happen again.” I say.

“Destiny…” Josh calmly says, releasing his grasps on my arm, as he fell back a bit. His eyes begun to look soft and hurt. Wiping away faint tears, I pushed my emotions back and tried to become loud and demanding.

“Destiny has to go now,” Allen says, slowly taking his hand in mine and showing me the way back to school.

“Thanks,” I say, with a slight nod. I walked out of the alleyway. As I left I could tell, Aaron and Allen were keeping Josh from running after me.

I stuffed my hands deep into my pockets and walked away from the three boys, utterly confused.

“Destiny!” Mabel exclaimed, rushing up to me, followed by the rest of our friends.

“Are you okay?” June questioned me.

“Yeah … that was weird.” I trailed off, hugging Mabel, who looked terrified for me.

“Weird?” Louis questioned me.

“Yeah. They just, let me go.” I nodded, still confused.

“Weird?! That’s a good thing, girl.” Niall exclaimed.

“Yeah, sure I guess, but that never happened before,” I explain.

“Well, tables are turning now for you.” Elizabeth shrugged, as we walked back to the school.

“Not used to these tables turning.” I shrugged. Just as the bell rang for next class, I waved bye to my friends, as I was leaving for my spare period. Grabbing my coat, backpack and cell phone, I made my over to Harry’s house, to check up on him.

*Harry’s POV*

A hot feeling flushed over me at first, then cold, nauseous, and then I felt sort of faint like. “Ugh. Isn’t Destiny suppose to be here soon.” I whined, out loud. I felt, cold and sweaty. My palms were all clammy. “Destiny.” I moaned, flipping over in my bed and pushing my head into my pillow.

‘BING!’ I got a message from Destiny.

Destiny: I’ll be there in two minutes later babe.

Harry: Please hurry. I think I am dying. :(

Destiny: I will baby. :*

Moments later, I heard a sudden hollow echo of knuckles rapping on the front door. “Ugh …” I moaned, I felt too sick to get up and open the front door. Luckily, Mom left the keys underneath the small carpet on the porch.

Harry: Baby, the key’s are underneath the carpet.

Destiny: Gotcha.

I hear the keys jingle in the lock, as Destiny unlocked the front door.

“Harry!” Destiny called to me, as I hear her walking up the stairs.

“Up here babe.” I coughed. Eventually, Destiny found me in my bed.

“Oh my gosh! Harry! You look so pale!” Destiny exclaimed, throwing her bag to the ground as she rushed to my side.

“Mhmm,” I mumbled. She felt my forehead and neck, checking my temperature.

“Harry! Your body feels like it's burning up – Woah!” Destiny exclaimed worried, but I stopped her mid-sentence, by grabbing her waist and pulling her on to me.

“Hey, baby. How are you doing?” I smirked, kissing her forehead, as she lay on top of me.

“Harry.” She laughed, pressing our foreheads together.

“Yes, Babe?” I smiled up at her.

“Do you need anything? Did you eat yet? Let me get you something to eat.” Destiny nudged.

“Destiny.” I laughed, shaking my head, as I held her close to me.

“Please.”

“I already ate. I just want you. Your presence makes me feel better.”

“That ain’t good enough for me. I need to BE better, not just feel.” Destiny says, with sweet puppy eyes.

“Baby, look,” I say, pointing to the table full of finished food dishes.

“Fine. But if you need anything, you gotta tell me.” Destiny tells me.

“That sounded more like a threat than a comforting thought.” I laughed.

“Sorry.” Destiny giggled, hugging me, as she fell onto my bed, next to me. She there lay next to me, laughing and talking about different things, until I asked about Destiny’s day.

“So, darling. How was your day?” I asked, with a big smile spread across my face. I held Destiny tight, kissing her forehead.

“My day? Trying to avoid this topic.” I hear her mumble under her breath. “Nothing. So, how was your day?”

“What?! What happened today?” I frantically asked, worried.

“Nothing,” Destiny mumbled, trying to avoid any eye contact with me.

“Destiny!” I exclaimed, grasping the sides of her face, as I forced her eyes to met mine. Her’s were filled with lots of confusion and sadness. “Baby! What’s wrong? Tell me please.”

“Nothing … it’s just … uh … YOU HAVEN’T TAKEN YOUR MEDS YET!” Destiny exclaimed, doughing my question.

“Oh, Lord! Destiny, I already took them before you came. Will you tell me? Or do I gotta get someone else to say me. Destiny took in a deep breath and sighed loudly, before telling me what was going on.

“Josh moved to our school,” Destiny mumbled.

“What?! Josh? Like the American Josh, who killed me. Like legit murdered my heart? And caused you to smash into thousands of pieces? That Josh!” I say, freaking out, sitting up in my bed. Anger began to consume in my body, my nostrils flaring, eyes flashing and closing into slits. My words slurred, as they came out spewing into space like a volcano realising its pent up emotions into the darkness. My hands closed into a fist.

“Harry. Please.” Destiny begged, taking my hands into her own, “Don’t fight him or anything. Please. He hasn’t done anything, now.”

“What are you serious right now?” I screamed at her, “How can I not? The other boys got too! And he hurt met the most!”

“Please.” Destiny continued.

“One wrong move, Destiny. One single slip up, and he is done for you. You got it.” I demanded, leaning back down. “So what else happened today?”

“Mhm … well,” Destiny mumbled, again.

“Yeah?” I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.

“He did do something today … Josh.” Destiny stammered.

“Ah! Yes, my reason to mess up his ‘pretty’ looking face.” I smiled, sitting back up. Anger still boiled in me, but the change to get into another fight seemed like a dream.

“No, no. It wasn’t anything bad. Well, it was, but in the end, they let me go, nothing actually bad happened.” Destiny shook her head, denying my chance at ruining that horrible person.

“They?” I asked, confused.

“Yeah, there were two other boys with him. These boys, they used to bully Josh and me. They were with Josh, and they were trying to apologise to me, but I guess kidnapping me first didn’t seem like the proper way to do so. So they like let me go. Also, Josh, he was telling me something about how he missed us being friends or something. But I don’t understand because I know when he lies and when he doesn’t. I mean he has this look he unintentionally does when he is lying, but he didn’t make it when he said that.” Destiny spilt, confusion filling up her face.

“Wait. What's the confusing part, then?” I asked, now confused, myself.

“It's confusing because I don’t understand, why would they let me go? How could the “tables be turning” now, according to Elizabeth.” I confess.

“What do you mean? The answer is simple. You’re absolutely fantastic. Why wouldn’t they want to be with you? Anyone would regret causing any pain on you. Especially after seeing how much you were actually worth. I’d say they finally got some sense through their thick skull.” I explain.

“Yeah, sure, I guess,” Destiny mumbled. Wrapping my arms around her waist, I pulled her back down, next to me, so that we were cuddling now.

*Destiny’s POV*

We were silent for some time before Harry brought up some random topic to talk about. As we talked, he awkwardly leant over, seeming to be hesitant or confused about something. And without warning, he got up from the bed.

“Harry? Where are you going?” I asked, partially worried.

“Nowhere. I just … I just need to get … get …” He stuttered, unable to finish his sentence. Next thing I knew, he had dropped to the floor.

“Harry!” I cried, startled, I jumped up and rushed to his side. “Harry! Harry, please wake up! Talk to me, baby! Please!” He wasn’t responded, he went unconscious for some time. Begging him to wake up, to say something, I gently tapped his face and tried sprinkling some water over him, as I held on to his hand tightly. My brows drew together, as I bit my lower lip, with glassy eyes.

“I’m okay. Sorry. I just lost my balance for a second. I’m alright.” Harry says, as his sense slowly came back to him.

“Just lost your balance? No, you are very ill. Let’s get you back into bed. I’ll take care of you before I have to leave for school again.” I demanded, helping Harry back into bed.

I tucked him into bed, giving him his meds and something healthy to eat, before slipping into bed with him.

“Destiny?” Harry asked, holding me tightly, as he coughed the other direction.

“Yes, Harry?”

“Stay, please. Don’t leave.”

“But …”

“Please.”

“Well … I have all my things, and it's just that stupid Storytime class. I really don’t want to see Josh either.” I thought out loud, “Alright. It wouldn’t hurt to stay.” I smiled, planting a gentle kiss on Harry’s cheek.

“Yes, Destiny is skipping!” Harry cheered happily but without much energy.

“Shh! It’s not skipping! I’m helping the someone in need or something like that. I don’t know. But don’t call it skipping!” I demanded, narrowing my eyes at him.

“It’s skipping, and you know it,” Harry smirked.

“No … more like a day off or … sick day. Yes! Sick day!” I insisted.

“But you aren’t sick.” Harry continued to smirk.

“Yeah, but you are.” I acknowledged.

“So.” Harry shrugged. “Taking a sick day means, you are sick.”

“Fine! I’ll leave then.” I declared.

“No. No! You’re taking a sick day! Not skipping!” Harry quickly exclaimed, wrapping his arms around me tightly, so I wouldn’t be able to move.

“Good boy,” I smirked, hugging him.

“Destiny is skipping,” Harry smirked, mumbling under his voice.

“What?” I questioned him.

“What! I said you were taking a sick day! Swear …” Harry quickly demanded.

“Mhmm.” I laughed. In a mixture of laughter and chatter, we somehow drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep, as we held each other close.

*Destiny’s POV*

I awoke to soft sheets, and the evening light trickled in through the blinds. Shedding myself of the remaining glimpses of a dream, my eyes were still shut as I soaked in the warmth of my covers before letting my blue eyes see the sun's rays. I turned to look over at Harry’s football shaped clock. It read: 6:45/

“Oh my gosh! I need to get home!” I exclaimed, all of a sudden.

“What! What happened!” Harry jumped up, startled by my sudden outburst.

“I’m so late! I got to get home!” I told him, as I jumped off the bed, slipping on my coat, and boots.

“Oh. I’m so sorry. Guess, we lost track of time. I’ll walk you home and tell your parents you were with me, taking care of me.” Harry says, trying to get up. Immediately, I pushed him back onto his bed.

“No way. You aren’t going anywhere. You need to stay in bed and get better. I will lock the door on my way out.” I demanded. “Wait. Actually, go take a shower. By the time you’re done, you Mm should be home, so you can eat something then, and then go back to bed.”

“Okay. Okay. Be safe and … um … I … lo … love …” He stuttered, sleepy. Before he could finish his sentence, his head dropped to his pillow and was fast asleep.

“Oh my god, this boy.” I laughed, shaking my head. “I love you too, Harry,” I smiled, as I pushed back his hair, and planted a quick kiss on his forehead. Before leaving for home, I scribbled Harry’s Mum a quick note. Locking the door, I back to my place.
