Moving To England

Chapter Sixteen

*Destiny’s POV*
*Continuation…*

Racing home on my bike, as Elizabeth followed me on hers, I realised how much I had missed my mother. It’s been the longest and hardest month of our lives. Too much changed in such a short time. As I let my train of thought continue, my mind wandered off to my friends back home.

‘Gosh, I wonder how they are doing. I missed all of them so much,’ I sighed thinking to myself. I felt my heart beginning to ache. Trying to stop the pain, I immediately changed my thoughts and started to focus on the road in front of me.

Soon enough we had arrived near my house, I noticed a large crowd of adults swarming around in front of it.

"Goodness. I can't even see my own mum." I sighed, Elizabeth giggled, patting my back.

“Let’s go closer,” Elizabeth suggested. I nodded, as we begun to walk to the big group.

"Mum?" I tried calling. Fortunately, my dad saw me, who was standing much closer to me than mum was.

"Daddy! Why is it that I can't even get a glimpse of mum?" I asked, causing Dad to laugh in reply.

"Faith, Dear, Destiny’s home," Dad called mum. Immediately, Mom emerged out of the crowd.

"Mum!" I cried, running toward her and embracing her in a hug.

"Oh, Destiny, Honey. I missed you!" Mum said.

"I missed you too, Mommy!" I smiled like a little child, as I released my mother. I noticed Elizabeth talking away with her parents.

"Hey! I want a hug too!" Dad demanded, toppling on top of mother and me, and squeezed us in a tight hug.

"Awe. What a cute reunion." Elizabeth's mum awed, chuckling.

"How about we get together later? I am exhausted after the flight." Mum said to her friends.

"Jet lag." I nodded, causing everyone to chuckle.

"Alright, then. Tomorrow, at my party? You all are coming, right?" Harry's mum asked.

"Of course!" Mom nodded.

“Now. Mother, Father. There are more important matters to talk about. For example, my specific birthplace." I announced.

"Where you were born?" Mom questioned me.

“Yeah, you know the hospital and stuff. Like, Elizabeth where were you born?” I asked.

“Some hospital in the neighbourhood, I forgot the name.” Elizabeth shrugged. Immediately, upon her answer, the grown-ups began to laugh.

“What’s so funny?” I questioned them.

“You lied her to?” Mom says, hardly able to speak because of all the laughing she was doing.

“Mum? You lied to me?” Elizabeth exclaimed.

“I thought we weren’t saying anything!” Elizabeth’s father blurted to his wife.

“I had to, she was bothering me too much.” Her mother sighed. “What are you laughing at, Faith? You didn’t exactly give birth in a hospital, now did you?”

“At least I didn’t lie to her.” Mum shot back, calming her laughter down.

“How much do you exactly know, though?” Dad grilled me.

"Everything, Father. I know everything. The ice cream man told me that I was his godfather." I declared.

“I need to know everything, like right now,” Elizabeth demanded, pulling her parents to her house.

"They had to find out someday." Ally's father laughed.

“I honestly, don’t know why you’re talking. My kids and Anne’s are the only ones who actually got normal births in normal hospitals.” Mable’s mother chuckled.

“Wait, what?” Ally says, eavesdropping on the conversation. The rest of the group had caught up by now and heard everything from when Ally’s father was talking.

“Yeah, Mom, Dad. I would like to know what she is talking about as well.” June declared.

“I hate that ice cream man right now.” June’s father sighed.

“You and me both, brother,” Dad commented, shaking his head with a chuckle, as everyone retreated to their homes.

*Elizabeth's POV*

I was left alone with a bunch of adults, I started to get scared.

"I am going home," I whispered to mum, running away towards my house.

*Harry's POV*

As the ten of us walked out of the ice cream parlour, Destiny and Elizabeth jumped on to their bikes and raced off.

"I guess we should go home as well." Ally suggested as we watched the two girls ride away.

"Our parents are probably at Destiny's place, right now." Mabel laughed.

"Luckily, we live close to her," June commented with a nod, as we begun to walk home together.

"Are you girls going to come to Harry’s place tomorrow?" Louis asked. I already knew for sure, the boys were coming, because mum had let me invite them.

My mum’s throwing a reunion party, she calls it, after, apparently seven years or more. She is having this whole black-and-white themed idea going on, as well.

"Yeah, my mum is making me," Mabel sighed, undoubtedly she didn’t want to come.

"Same here," June commented, raising her hand for notice.

“I didn’t want to go, but if you’re all going, I’ll be there." Ally says.

"Elizabeth's going," June added.

“Well, Destiny said she’d be there." I further pointed out.

"Yeah, okay, I’m going to be there too.” Ally says with a small smile.

"I know we are definitely going," Zayn shrugged.

“Now I don’t want to,” Mabel says, making a funny, disgusted-looking face at Zayn, who only smirked in reply.

"Woah, it feels so weird this is after a long time our parents are coming to a party with us.” Niall laughed. The rest of us nodded in agreement.

We began to walk towards our houses, by the time we reached there we saw Elizabeth run home scared. Probably because of all the parents surrounding her.

“Well see you guys." Ally said. And with that, we all said our goodbyes and entered our homes.
