Aria's POV
"What?" Hanna was shaking as I grabbed her hands. "Oh Hanna." I whispered softly, hugging her close.

"Aria, You're the only person I've told." Hanna's voice was pleading, and she cried into my shoulder.

"I'm here." I whispered firmly, "I'm here to stay Hanna."

"You were gone for SO long Aria. I thought we'd lost you." Hanna said, as we pulled out of the hug.

"I was gone for a year. A whole year. I graduated from Hollis."
"How's my Mom?" She asked, and I bit my lip.

"She misses you so much." I admitted. Hanna's expression looked pained, as she managed a weak "Oh," before sitting on the bed.


"So, what happened while I was gone?"


"A lot. Spencer and Liam fought over directions. Lou and Em hardly can look at each other. Zayn and I..We..It's complicated. And Niall just sits there. He missed you, Ar."


I swallowed. "He hates me." I whispered.

Hanna chuckled a little. "It would take passion to hate you. He's just empty."

I felt strained suddenly, and sat down.

"I shouldn't have left."

"But you did." Hanna said firmly.

"Hanna, maybe you should lie down. I'll go get you some water. You need rest, kiddo." I smiled, softly, edging towards the door.


"And Aria?" I turned
"Welcome back."

I walked slower passed Niall's door. I heard a voice, and a guitar.
I listened to the soft lyrics,

I exhaled, grabbing my necklace and closing my eyes.

"Hanna, is that you?" Niall whispered.

I kept silent.

"I'm not talking to HER. You know what she did Hanna. She left. Just like that. She didn't even say goodbye."

I walked past the door quickly, and around the corridor, quick enough before the hot, quick tears that burned in my eyes fell.
