Demon

Chapter One

She walked down the hallway of her aunts house, passing the picture frames on the walls. She wanted to look at the pictures again, but it was too dark for her to see. The only light in the empty hallway, belonged to a lamp in her grandma's room at the end of the hall. As she neared the steps, she brushed her hand against the wall. The cold of the metal made her shiver; she turned the light switch on and pulled her hand away. As she walked down the steps, she wished she was at her own house. But she knew that her parents needed their time alone; they were fighting non-stop for three weeks. She sighed as she reached the bottom of the steps. Once again, she brushed her hand against a wall. She switched on yet another switch, then made her way to the kitchen. The light from the living room was enough for her, she didn't need to turn a light on. She opened the fridge and took an apple and the box of milk for hot chocolate she craved for. She took a clean cup and poured milk in, then put it in the microwave. After setting the microwave for two minutes, she took a seat next to the kitchen island. The words of her parents' last fight ran through her mind once again; as much as it frightened her, she didn't want to believe it. She knew that God was with her, He was going to protect her through everything bad in this life. She looked at the kitchen she was sat in, she had to adjust her eyes to the darkness. There still was light, but it was merely enough to only see a half of the kitchen. The darkness had always frightened her, but she knew, she always knew that God was there. She was never alone. As the microwave beeped to let her know that her milk was ready, she took a bottle of hot chocolate and a spoon with her. She opened the door to the microwave and dropped two spoons of hot chocolate powder in. She mixed it in the microwave, because she knew the cup would be hot. When she was done mixing it, she felt her way to the sink. She dropped the spoon into the sink and picked up a dry cloth. She then turned around to walk back to the microwave, but froze in her steps. There, in the doorway of the kitchen, a shadow stood. She could not see a face, she could not see anything. Only the outline of his body and the glow of eyes. They seemed almost red, but they also seemed yellow. Maybe something in-between, she thought. The shadow was a man, that she knew, for his figure looked nothing like a female's. She gasped at the shadow that wasn't moving. Many times before has she seen a shadow, but as soon as she blinked it went away. This time, though, it stayed. She could feel eyes burning into her body, she could feel coldness entering the kitchen. Both she and the shadow stood frozen, looking at each other. She inhaled a deep breath and closed her eyes, hoping that the shadow would be gone when she opened them again.

"Please, God, protect me." she begged silently. "Send your Angels to me," she breathed.

She was surprised that her last sentence actually left her mouth, she never meant to speak in front of the unknown shadow. She opened her eyes and stumbled backwards, for the shadow was then closer to her. Green, she then thought. The shadow's eyes were green.

"Don't you know that they've always been here?" the shadow whispered to her.

She blinked a few times, but the shadow was gone. She was happy to know that it wasn't with her anymore, though, she wanted to ask it questions. She wondered if it was real, if there actually was a shadow right there; talking to her. She couldn't say that Demons didn't exist, for she believed that if you believe in God, you believe in Angels. And the opposite of Angels are indeed Demons. She frowned, then turned around, searching for it. It was no where to be seen. The coldness in the room was then gone; the kitchen felt warm again. She rushed to the microwave; urgent to get away from the room where only second ago she had seen a shadow. She wanted to tell herself that it was an Angel, but the shadow told her that they have always been there, surely the shadow didn't say 'we'. And as much as she wanted to tell herself it wasn't real, that it was merely her imagination, she knew that it felt real. As she made her way back to her room with an apple and her cup of hot chocolate, she prayed. She prayed to the Lord for Angels. She prayed for protection. She knew that God would give it to her. She knew that God was good.

That night, she had trouble sleeping. She felt afraid and as if someone was watching her. She thought about the times before where she had seen a shadow. She thought about how the shadow disappeared as soon as it appeared. She always thought it was her imagination, but how could something that actually speaks be one's imagination?

Notes

Hey guys! New story, I hope you like. The cover is done by KaleighStyles57. Thanks girl, you're the best! X

I know that this chapter may be confusing, but you'll understand everything later. This is the first fanfiction where I write about something like Demons and Angels, so I hope it goes well!

Please note; this book will have violence and sex in. If you don't like it, stop reading. This book is a Harry Styles fanfiction, but as you can see a paranormal one. If you don't like the idea, go suck a cock and stop reading my book.

Anyway. Please go read my book Leave Your Lover. The second book to that one is also out; it's called Not Just Friends.

Have a lovely day/night.

PLEASE VOTE.
Much love, Telichia x
