Melissa’s POV.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a massive headache and sweat dripping from my face. I was so hot right now. It felt like the heater was turned on to the maximum. I tried to go back to sleep, but couldn’t. I tossed and turned and accidentally woke Justin up.

Love are you ok? Justin asked me with his eyes closed sounding very tired.

Yeah I’m fine go back to sleep babe. I told him and closed my eyes, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled back as fast as he could, I felt him flinch at my touch.

Melissa! Your body is burning hot! He yelled with concern in his voice. He jumped off of bed and rushed to get the lights. I sat up and held my head in my hand. Wow my head was really warm. The headache was getting worse. I hated this feeling. Justin came back and felt my head.

Mel how are you feeling? He asked me sitting beside me on the edge of the bed.

I have a really bad headache I told him and I feel really dizzy as well.

I’m going to go get some medicine and a thermometer. I’ll be right back ok?

OK thanks Justin. I told him lying down in bed.

It’s fine sweetheart he said and quickly kissed my forehead and left to go buy the medicine and stuff. I checked the time. It was 4AM in the morning. I tried to get some rest while waiting for Justin to come back, but I couldn’t. I laid in bed when I heard the door opened. Justin came in with a brown bag that I assumed was the medicine and took my temperature.

Well, you have a fever alright, a very high one. He told me and put down the thermometer. I let out a small groaned. I hated being sick…it was so ugh! He grabbed the medicine from the small paper bag. He twisted off the cap, poured the pink liquid medicine in it and got a cup of water for me. He walked over to me and handed me the medicine. I took it with hesitation. I stared down at the cup in disgust.

Justin, do I have to take this? I whined like a little kid who didn’t want to take her medicine.

Yes you have to. You have to feel better now take it. He ordered me to. I whined again, but he stared at me like my mom used to do when I didn’t listen. I could feel his eyes burning into me.

Fine! I said and threw my hand up into the air. I took the medicine from the counter and squeezed me nose shut, with the other hand I drank the medicine. It was nasty. I quickly grabbed the cup of water and drank it as fast as I could.

Good girl. Justin said and patted my head. He took out another bottle, it was pills this time.

This is for your headache he told me and went and got more water to go with the pill. I took the pill and drank the water. He cleaned up and got into bed.

Get some rest Mel, you are going to need it he said and pulled me close to him. I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. I sat up and another headache attacked me. I groaned loudly and fell back into bed. I was sweating and felt really hot, but not as much as last time. Justin came in still in his clothes that he slept with last night.

Hey how are you feeling today? He asked me and coming over towards me and sat on his side of the bed.

Same, but a little better. I told him looking at the ceilings and played with my fingers. He stood up and grabbed the medicines. I was forced to take it again.

What time is it? I asked him curious

8:30 he told me after he handed me my pills. I played on my phone while Justin went out to get me breakfast. He came in 5 minutes later with a plate piled with egg, bacons, pancake, and fruit.

Here he handed me the plate and helped me sat up, but I was perfectly capable of doing that. I ate while he watched me eat and form time to time he would look back at his phone. After I finished with breakfast he got a call from a friend.

Hey Collon what’s up? He answered whoever was on the other end of the phone. They person answered, but I couldn’t hear what he was saying.

I’m sorry man, but I cant today. Justin responded and looked over at me. I tilt my head to the side in confusion.

Ok bye I’ll see you around yeah? Ok bye and Justin hanged up and put his phone back into his pocket.

What was that all about? I asked him still curious.

Um that was my friend he wanted to go out with a couple of our friends today, but I need to take care of you. He told me smiling.

That’s nice of you Justin, but you need to go see your friends. You probably haven’t seen them in a long time.

I know, but you’re sick he fought back.

I’m fine hun. I can take care of myself and I promise I will be on my best behavior. I told him with a huge grin.

Ok fine I give up he said and dialed his friends number again and told him that he was coming now. Justin had to leave now. He came over and placed a kiss on my temple.

Be good and take your meds he said.

I will boss now get out of here. He laughed at me and walked out.
