''Well, this is it.'' I said. I was sad, angry at my self and scared, yet I was very happy and excited for the journey that awaits me. ''You can still change your mind, Kate, it doesn't matter how much the plain ticket cost.'' My mom said, her voice cracked at the last words and tears started to fill her eyes. ''Mom, I'm not changing my mind. This is the best oppurtunity ever, I'd be a fool not to take it.'' I put on a fake smile and put my hand on her shoulder to try and cheer her up. ''I promise I will call very often and I will text everyday. I will also visit as soon as I can, Thanksgiving probably.'' ''But that is five months away! I can't believe I will only get to see you in five months!'' She said louder and tears started pouring from her eyes as my dad rubbed her back to calm her down. A couple of steps away you could see the exact same scene. Hannah, my best friend, was moving to England with me and her parents were also making a scene and begging her not to go.
''Last call for flight number 4693, all passengers aboard.'' We heard the lady from the front desk say through the speakers.
''Well, that's our que. C'mon Hannah, we have to go!'' I said to my parents and then called Hannah. ''I'm gonna mis you so much, I love You!'' I said to my parents and Hannah aproached and we walked off. I started tearing up as I heard my mom histerically crying behind us.

~~On the Plane~~

''Here are your seats, ladies, would you like anything to drink?'' She showed us to our seats and then smiled at us. ''Yes, I'll have a Diet Cola, please'' Hannah said. ''I'll have the same'' I said as the flight attendant smiled at us and walked away, returning in a bit with our drinks. ''Thank you very much'' I smiled at the flight attendant and took a sip of my coke.
''Well, I guess I'm one step closer to my dreams now.'' I said to myself and smiled as I felt the plane take off.

Notes

So I know this was kinda boring, but I just needed to get it started. All the interesting stuff is gonna start in chapter 2, which should be up tomorrow :)
