Logan's POV
You would think that finding a dorm room would be completely simple. The university would have a ton of different directional signs and signs outside of the resident halls to show new students where to go. Well this wasn’t the case. I have spent the last three hours walking around campus looking for the resident halls and for my room. The dean of the school told me over the phone that campus was pretty easy to maneuver around obviously he kind of lied to me. I sighed looking down at the piece of paper that I had managed to print off before leaving home. I decided to look for the dean’s office because they would have to show me in the right direction right? I found the path to take and started walking in the direction. I pulled out my iPod and put my earbuds in so I could block out all of the other noises around me. I wasn’t one to really socialize willingly. I was used to always being on my own and talking to other people was something I didn’t enjoy. I had made it to the building and walked into the office and the dean’s secretary smiled warmly at me.

“Looking for your room love?” the secretary asked.

“Yes,” I said trying not to sound rude.

“Can I have your name please,” she said.

“Logan Walters,” I said and she smiled lightly at me.

She then typed something on her computer and quickly wrote down a something on a piece of paper.

“There you go,” she said, “It has your room number and hall name to go. You’re key will in the lobby of the hall.”

“Thank you,” I said and quickly left the room.

I put my earbuds back in and looked down at my map again looking for a way to get to the correct hall.

“Ah ha,” I whispered to myself as I found my route to take.

I folded the map back up and put it in my purse and looked down at the new piece of paper. I quickly glanced at it and put it in my purse as well. I then started my journey across the campus. I was glad that I didn’t pack a whole lot of things with me since I figured I could buy most of the things I needed when I got here. I guess I wasn’t watching where I was going when I felt someone crash into me and we both fell to the ground; the person on top of me. I quickly took of my earbuds about to yell when I heard a male voice apologizing.

“I’m so sorry love I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going,” he said quickly getting up and helping me up.

“It’s alright,” I said still not used to British people calling me love.

I then looked up to see a pair of striking blue eyes looking down at me with concern written in them.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“I’m fine,” I said feeling myself slightly blush.

“Are you sure I pretty much pushed you onto the pavement?” he asked and I smiled lightly at the concern.

I then quickly wiped the smile off my face. I wasn’t here to find a husband I was here to get a college education. Boys would just get in the way and I needed to focus and graduated with perfect grades. I shook my head lightly and looked up at the boy in front of me that was looking at me curiously.

“Do you need help finding your hall love?” he asked.

“Logan,” I said.

“What?” he said confused.

“My names Logan,” I said, “Please call me Logan.”

The boy grinned and I felt my heart flutter a bit more and I pretended to ignore it.

“Louis,” he said, “Nice to meet you Logan. Do you want me to show you where you’re dorm is?”

“If you could,” I said knowing I needed the help and ignoring the logic in my head telling me just to find it on my own.

I then reached into my purse and handed him the tiny piece of paper that the secretary handed me. He looked it over and grinned at me again.

“We’re living in the same hall,” he smiled, “I can show you where you’re going to live.”

“Thanks,” I smiled lightly and we headed off in the direction of the dorms.

“So where in America are you from Logan?” Louis asked me as we were walking.

“California,” I said.

“How are you going to deal with the cold in London?” Louis asked and I shrugged my shoulders.

“I have no idea,” I said, “I probably should invest in a heavier jacket but right now my sweaters should be good right?”

“You need to go buy a heavy jacket soon love,” Louis said, “It’s a lot different than sunny California.”

“So you’ve been to California?” I asked.

“Yes,” he said, “My family and I went to Disneyland for holiday one year.”

“Typical,” I said rolling my eyes.

“And why do you say that?” he asked a bit upset and I smiled lightly.

“Everyone goes to California for Disneyland,” I said, “I’m from the Santa Barbra region of California.”

“I have no idea where that is,” he said and I just shrugged my shoulders.

“Don’t worry about it,” I said.

We then walked up to a building where there were a million people trying to get around and into their rooms.

“Thanks Louis,” I said.

“One second let me get your key and help you into your room,” he said and then quickly disappeared into the crowd.

Ten minutes later Louis reappeared with a key in his hands.

“Thanks Louis but I’m fine from here,” I said, “I really appreciate it.”

I then quickly disappeared into the crowd before I could hear his response.
